Ich bewundere die Geduld von Reihern. Stundenlang still stehen und ich kann nicht mal 10 Minuten stillsitzen.
Woher nimmt der die Geduld!?
Woher nimmt der die Geduld!?
福壽長韻茶 local tea from Taiwan is the best tasting Oolong tea I've ever had. It's flowery and gentle and yet very flavorful.
Highly recommend. It's quite pricy though, about 150$ per 75g if I remember correctly.
Definitely unforgettable. (I bought it in a local shop a year ago, I can't remember where)
If anyone knows where I could order similar high quality oolong in Europe again please let me know
It brings the abstract intertwining of the world into a mechanical visualization and with some mods (regarding economy and finance) portrays the current situations and challenges very well. Especially in an age with neoimperial ambitions of some countries. We can see the domestic and the international level combined and how they interact. Discuss.
If he really hit that, it's going to be the hottest day in our history, because some places are bound to cross 43°C somewhere and that's the current maximum we've ever had historically.
So after reading more news articles, I recently learned that there are way more words to describe that someone possesses / owns something than simply 有
I knew 拥有 before but learning that there are so many more ways to say it based on situation and degree of formality is confusing me and I currently still struggle to remember when to use which (even though my dictionary clearly tells me the context)
So I'm wondering if a) you guys have some useful memory bridges to remember when to use which (maybe some rhymes?) and b) if I could just use the good ol' 有 in any situation or whether that'll make me look like an uneducated peasant in situations like university classes or talking to someone of importance.
I submitted my first app for review 10 days ago. The first feedback came after 50+ hours. Rejected. Then another 48 hours. Rejected. Then I requested an expedited review. Since then I get rejected once every 24-30 hours. It's been 6 times now.
My app is rather complex, there are a lot of screens, so a lot of attack surface for the reviewer. They are extremely thorough. Google approved my app of the first try within 24 hours and every update goes through within seconds.
Apple on the other hand questions string placements, asks me "are you sure about these prices?" and then just doesn't continue the review for another 24 hours even if I reply within literal minutes.
Each time they do one issue, then I solve the issue and they find more to complain about.
How much rejection is normal? I proactively hardened every surface for compliance and robustness again, but still they keep looking for tiny things. The latest rejection was because they were not happy with the user facing error string when they tried to login with an account that wasn't registered yet.
It's been 10 days and I'm in waiting mode everyday, losing revenue, losing nerves over what else they might complain about next.
Einige davon sind sogar Xialongbao, also das ist noch ein Suppenwürfel (leicht angefroren) mit drin im Fleisch, der beim dämpfen auftaut und das ganze richtig saftig macht 😍

Ich kann mir nicht erklären wer außer fressen mein Basilikum anfrisst. In meinem Hochbeet sind auch alle Petersilien , Schnittlauch und Koriander Keimlinge einfach weg gefressen trotz Kupfer.
Just thought I'd emphasize that again for beginners who are just starting out. The pinyin you read in the text or dictionary is not necessarily how it is actually pronounced tone-wise. If you use a tone trainer, make sure it teaches tone sandhi (how tones change in interaction with other tones). Just remembered it when I saw this sentence with lots of sandhi in one of my reviews.
I was reading this story and encountered the word 孤僻 for the first time. So far so good. The entry makes sense but I can't seem to fully grasp the word I think.
If 孤僻 is reclusive, this comes from the person itself right? But the negativity has to come from the external judgement that this person is reclusive, else it wouldn't be deemed negative.
So a 孤僻 person is not necessarily 孤独, because they chose to live this way / have this personality or is this entirely an external descriptive mark / trait given onto someone by others?
I am currently weighing whether I could describe myself as 孤僻 or not. 😺✨
Thank you for your help!
Einfach mit ein bisschen Salat, Gurke und Mayonnaise aufs getoastete Brot und schwupps
If you learn Chinese as an English or Latin script - based speaker in general, Chinese characters often appear like complex math where my brain just tunes out. I am on an advanced level now but that took me many many years.
There are certain techniques that helped me greatly: Character decomposition, lots of flashcard reviews and graded reading, etc.
For staying motivated, I need statistics to visualize the abstract progress.
But now I am wondering how others deal with Chinese. What kept you going? How do you enforce discipline once the novelty wears off? How long have you been learnig and what techniques are your favorites? How regularly do you study?
I am asking, because I am somewhat hitting a plateau right now.
Recently bought this flute and can't for the life of me figure out what it says
Question as is - I saw some youtube gurus recommend that we should always choose entertainment even for educational content (if it has some element of education to it), because the educational category gets completley buried. Is this true?
Because so far, the education category for me does indeed produce worse results.
I always thought it's positive 🥲 Can a native / teacher explain it?
I'm part of a small team building a Mandarin learning app, and we've hit the stage where we need real learners — not friends and family — pounding on it. We're specifically looking for Android users at any level, from total beginners to advanced.
