Why didn't Mauler just make his movie objectively good? Is he stupid?

Why didn't Mauler just make his movie objectively good? Is he stupid?

Seriously, I have seen student films with better written plots and directing.

There are enough plotholes here to make a video of the average longman length.

The fact that his fans are defending it is just laughable.

They complain about us being apparently shills for enjoying the new Star Wars stuff but then shill for their favorite content creator who writes like a teen who just discovered Guy Ritchie and Martin Scorsese.

Actually scratch that, that teen might actually write a better script than these.

Whatever credibility Mauler had (which was almost nonexistent), he completely lost here.

Maybe writing and directing a film is much harder than crappy essays that feel like you did not have a script editor for them which is why they are so long.

What timeline are we living in?

I thought these guys were enemies.

Seriously I think the world as we know it ended when we entered the 2020s.

I have been seeing this image on social media recently. I hope this is ironic because otherwise I gotta question what form of crack they were smoking and how I can get my hands on it.

You guys know any other positive non-toxic Starfield spaces online?

Honestly I love this place and I love that it's actually about discussions of stuff in the game.

But my question is do you know any other places where there isn't Starfield hate online?

Where you can freely talk about the game and how you enjoy it?

I am currently looking for places like that.

Can be any forum, youtube channel or social media account.

I love both of the DLCs, honestly don't get the "overwhelmingly negative" reviews on Steam

Especially since a lot of said reviews are from accounts with no profile pics and their only reviews are from Starfield and other DLCs.

Now I don't want to say they are bots or that they are review bombing but it sure looks sus.

Especially since outside of the price tag there really isn't anything paritcularly wrong with either expansion.

Shattered Space has some of the most beautiful enviornments I have ever seen in a space game and Terran Armada had some great lore additions and both DLCs had excellent side quests.

They ain't perfect. But I mean "overwhelmingly negative" is a bit too much.

EDIT: It seems like I stirred up the hornets nest since tons of haters came to the comments under this post calling anyone who enjoys these DLCs or even the base game stupid and saying they got bad taste.

Real mature guys. It seems strange that you are so obsessed with a game you don't like that you actively attack people who enjoy it and hang around this sub.

To those who are interested in going into the comments, abandon all hope all ye who enter there.

On Steam all Elder Scrolls content is now on sale till July 9th

Yep. Every single game, DLC and other stuff is on sale now. Except the ESO plus and crowns stuff. They got their own sales for that.

You can get the Special Edition of Skyrim for only 10 dollars/euros now and ESO for only 5 dollars/euros.

Honestly, that's a steal given how many hours I got out of both games.

On Steam all Fallout content is now on sale till July 9th

Yes. Every single piece of Fallout content on Steam is now on sale. Except the Atom shop and Fallout 1st stuff for 76.

Games, DLCs and other things.

Fallout 4 with all it's DLCs is only 16 dollars/euros now for example. Which I think is a steal.

Starfield is now on sale till July 9th

Wish it was more than 20 percent though.

I'm thinking of getting it for another family member who loves space media and I also took the screenshot on their account aswell.

I enjoy the game a lot though, so here is some news for those who might not know about the sale.

The sale also goes for all the DLCs aswell.

Steam forums are a blight on gaming

I have never seen a major forum with the exception of Twitter maybe with such horrible moderation.

Constantly you will see people using playground insults towards someone who enjoys a game which leads to no proper discussion being possible.

Like recently I started playing Starfield again. Not a perfect game but it's honestly solid. If you say anything positive about it in the reviews or discussions on Steam, they will call you an idiot and slow and a bunch of disability or gay slurs.

You cannot have a reasonable discussion with them. Then again these people think Starfield is the most hated game ever and anyone who enjoys it has bad taste. So you can't really reason with them.

And sadly often you will see incredibly bigoted views and calling LGBT people or people of color a bunch of hateful slurs and never getting banned for it.

BUT, you will get banned or restricted if you are LGBT and you stand up for yourself. I have seen this time and time again. The image I used is a screenshot some user that got banned because of this took.

Biggest example is the Baldur's Gate 3 community on Steam, there were several users who very actively bigoted for years. No, it wasn't dark humor or anything like that, they were completely serious.

Never got banned no matter what and kept posting there. But one guy called them out on it and was LGBT himself and guess what? He got banned. And these bigots kept doing it afterwards.

In terms of aesthetics, which Fo4 guns are your favorites?

For me it's definitely the combat shotgun and also the combat rifle too.

I love their mix of PPSh-41 and the BAR with a nice mix of retrofuturism.

People complained that they are similar but a lot of games have similar looking guns like this in their arsenal (Bioshock for example with it's shotgun and heater) and I dig the design so much that I honestly don't mind.

The modifications certainly make them feel very different.

BTW the source for the first pic is a mod which you can find here: https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/images/4664

Love that you can actually boil water if you use a fire spell on it

Seriously, this game for it's time had so many details like this.

Another one is the fact you can actually see ant colonies in the game when looking at a tree stump sometimes.

They didn't have to program this in but they did which shows just how much they cared about the game and loved making it.

Not a fan of Bioshock Infinite but it's opening hour is magical

It is by far the weakest game with a messy plot and weak repetitive gameplay but the opening hour of you entering the lighthouse then going through the baptism and seeing Columbia first hand is one of the best intros to a videogame I have ever seen.

The art direction, sound design and overall details are incredible even today. And it completely immerses you into this new world.

And the music in the chapel is godly. Pun intended.

Overall I never enjoy replaying this game but this intro is so good that it hooks you into it even when you know the rest of the game never comes close to this level.

And the game has a massive drop off once you reach Finkton.

Still like I said, excellent intro, wish the rest of the game lived up to it. Would love to explore the lore and society of Columbia rather than the multiverse hopping nonsense we got in the end.

Favorite weapon in terms of aesthetics?

For me? It's the Lawgiver. Love the mix of sci-fi and western on it's design.

Especially the wooden stock.

I also enjoy the reload animation and it's many modifications.

Also like with every other weapon in this game, it has excellent sound design.

▲ 198 r/TESVI

How do you think TESVI will improve upon the combat?

Personally I hope they don't go the Kingdom Come route of being realistic and difficult as I think that just does not fit with The Elder Scrolls overall feel.

The key thing they have to get right is swining or arrows or even magic has to have way more weight to it. The hits should show on enemies with visible cuts and such.

Skyrim was honestly good for it's time, I know people rag on the combat but I like it, it's simple yet sweet. It even showed some visible cuts with the blood effects but it was relatively minor.

However one aspect it nailed was the kill cam, inspired by Fallout's VATS. I hope that does come back and becomes more detailed with even better animations and finishers.

There is nothing more satisfying that getting that sweet finisher on the last enemy in combat. So I hope that stays there.

Seeing how good the powers in Starfield were, I hope they use that technology on magic here aswell. It would feel incredible to be a mage only character and wreaking havoc with those particle effects.
