The Elder Scrolls has such peak writing

And yes I am serious. I think The Elder Scrolls has such peak writing in almost every game.

This is taken from the New Sheoth graveyard in Oblivion. Such a great place, there are other great descriptions like this there.

Antisemitism and TLOU 2 hate. Name a more iconic duo.

Seriously though, regardless of what you think of Neil Druckmann or his politics or his writing this hate that is basically just "jews always manipulate media and try to take down good storytelling" needs to stop.

This guy and the comment section and most other videos like this hate the game because apparently it's made by jews and that's why it won awards.

You can dislike the game and Neil but don't say it's bad because of jews. What is this, Weimar Republic?

EDIT: So one unhinged commenter made multiple comments accusing me of supporting genocide based on no proof whatsoever. And now they also made a post on this sub where they accuse me of supporting genocide.

They kept accusing me and harassing me based on no proof of this so I blocked them because it was not going anywhere.

So I guess I gotta make it clear if it was not already, I condemn Israel's actions and find them vile.

This post was about a godawful video that was actually anti semitic and used Israel's actions also as a justification for being anti semitic to jews in general.

In no way do I support Israel.

We need to start a petition for Grandma Shirley to play TES VI privately

Seriously, she is by far my favorite Skyrim let's player and also a great person.

We know they scanned her as an NPC to play the game but it would be incredible to allow her to play TES VI before release. Just so she has the chance.

Though I hope we will get to see her play the game aswell and I hope she is gonna stay with us for a long time.

Could the Aldmeri Dominion conquer Black Marsh?

It seems like Black Marsh the arguably one of the only provinces where the Dominion did not have much success.

Is it because of the very dangerous terrain that does not allow the Dominion forces to properly attack and control the place?

And also is it because the Hist controls everything in Black Marsh to the point it can echo messages across miles, kind of like Eywa in Avatar?

Let's not forget the vast stretches of the swamp region with trees and mud everywhere.

Thoughts on the new Sheogorath questline?

Personally I loved it. Honestly seeing Sheogorath as a mortal and all the hurdles that come with it was really fun.

Some people complain about cheese being associated with Sheogorath nowadays but I thought it was tied in really well.

Also that part with Sheogorath's power, Maddy that turns against him is a really cool part of the story aswell.

Overall it was really well paced, really fun, the lodge was a really cool location with great music and Noth the Unhinged was a really fun new character.

And of course JB Blanc as always killed it with his voice acting. He and Wes Johnson brought Sheogorath to life with their excellent performances.

Gotta say this questline alongside the new Thieves guild questline proves that ESO still has great stories.

Ever since Heart's week all the new free storylines have been really well written. Hope we get to see more of it.

Which official creations do you consider the best?

Yes, it is overpriced content but even then I gotta ask which is the best one.

I have seen quite a few of them and some look amazing. Like the Classic 10mm creation with it's quest or the Sea Scavengers one.

But my personal favorites are Captain Cosmos and the CR-74L combat rifle.

So which ones do you consider best? I will admit, even with the limiations of not having any new recorded dialogue, the writing in most of the creations is really good.

The Captain Cosmos one provided so much new cool lore and he CR-74L story of two lovers unironically brought me to tears.

Anyone else love the Astral Lounge music?

I keep hearing hate for it but I love how it is both energetic and chill at the same time.

There actually 5 different tracks that play in this place and I enjoy them all.

Sadly they are not in the official soundtrack and you have to search for it in the files.

I did find a video with all the tracks though, gonna put a link here for anyone who wants to listen.

Why do people keep saying the Astral Lounge is a nightclub when it's a lounge?

Like, it's not a nightclub it's a LOUNGE! It's in the title.

Those two are not the same thing at all.

Nightclubs are for dancing and high energy nightlife.

Lounges on the other hand are not like that at all. They can have some dancing but only a little bit and the nightlife is more chill.

A lounge is meant to be a more sophisticated place than a nightclub where you go mainly for the drinks and to socialize.

You got fancy overpriced drinks, higher class people and a nicer seating. And unlike a nightclub, it's open during the day.

Which is essentially the Astral Lounge in game. You go there for drinks, to chill and maybe to socialize.

So I find it weird that people are comparing it to the Cyberpunk nightclubs for example when it's not meant to be a nightclub at all.

I also see people online saying that the game apparently treats the Astral Lounge like it's some place of debauchery and grit but the dialogues in game say otherwise. In fact according to the bartender it's one of the safest places in Neon.

My point is, you can dislike the Astral Lounge but it's not meant to be a nightclub, it's a chill lounge for tourists owned by the corpos who run Neon.

So it's funny when I heard some people say that the devs never visited a nightclub when in fact it's not meant to be a nightclub at all.

And in fact it's a pretty cool representation of a lounge with that Neon and space flair in it. Reminds me a lot of the bars and lounges we see in Star Trek in terms of vibe.

Can The Empire in the fourth era recover and stand up to the Aldmeri Dominion?

This is something that's been on my mind recently, especially since I often side with the Empire during the Civil War questline.

How much of a chance does the Empire have to stand up to the Aldmeri Dominion and beat them even.

And could they even be restored to their former glory? At least partly?

EDIT: I realized I misspelled the title. It's meant to say "Can The Empire recover and stand up to the Aldmeri Dominion."

I forgot the "recover" bit. Sadly I can't fix it now so I will just have to leave it be.

Protect Bethesda Employees

Microsoft has gutted BGS’ roster including veteran developers for The Elder Scrolls and Fallout. I found out just today there is a workers movement and I highly encourage everyone to support. Please follow their page and the link in their bio!

Wabbajack spotted in My Adventures With Superman

Alongside other great references like the Dragonslayer from Berserk and Sky hook from Bioshock.

There are tons of references to other media in this scene but I love that they included the WABBAJACK!

I prefer Fallout 4's vanilla landscape to a modded one

Just the use of colors of the vanilla game is so well done even if a quite a few colors are muted.

I am honestly not a fan of the forrest mods frankly. It just doesn't feel right.

Especially since Fallout is not meant to be a realistic apocalypse but rather a 50s pulp-fiction science version of a nuclear apocalypse with retrofuturism everywhere.

Meaning that radiation causes far more damage to the flora and the climate. Like in Fallout 3 and also to the originals. Myron in Fallout 2 even mentions how the climate has changed and now they can't grow things they used to pre-war.

But all that people keep forgetting that the climate changed and now it's autumn in the commonwealth. A long one since seasons apparently last longer in the apocalypse which is why things like trees seem dead even though they are alive since there are fallen leaves all around them.

Or grass being abundant and the soil allowing for forming or the south east corner of the map being much more green.

Mods like the forest while cool looking just don't feel right at all to me, especially since the green is everywhere in the mod and the different regions of the vanilla get lost in it and all of it just looks the same honestly.

Bethesda honestly created a fantastic open world map like always that perfectly captures the Fallout apocalypse and the autumn yet warm feeling incredibly well.
