When There Was No Memorial Built By Government, Lindy Cameron Left Flowers at the Air India AI-171 Crash Site

On the first anniversary of the Air India AI-171 disaster in Ahmedabad, British High Commissioner to India Lindy Cameron visited the crash site in Meghaninagar and laid a bouquet of flowers directly on the ground. The tribute felt especially stark because there were no memorial arrangements or public ceremony at the site.

Cameron said her thoughts were with the families affected by the tragedy, and noted that 52 British nationals were among the 260 people killed in the crash. Her quiet gesture underscored the absence of a formal memorial and the deep need for remembrance at a place marked by such loss.

The anniversary also brought renewed scrutiny of the investigation. The Federation of Indian Pilots said it had asked the government not to release an interim report, arguing that it could add to confusion amid the controversy surrounding the crash. How long must we wait for answers and why has a permanent act of remembrance still not taken shape?

Struggling with Tamil pronunciation after growing up in North, especially “ழ” sound

I am finding it really hard to pronounce words with “ழ” properly, and honestly it gets to me sometimes. My friends do make fun of it, not in a mean way, but I still end up feeling a bit inferior about it.

The thing is, I was brought up completely in the North, so I have spoken Hindi way more than Tamil for most of my life, even though Tamil is my mother tongue. Now that I am pursuing my college in Tamil Nadu, I am realizing how much I struggle with pronunciation and it is making me feel a little out of place.

I know language is something that can improve with practice, but right now it does feel difficult and awkward. Has anyone gone through something similar? How did you get better at it without feeling conscious all the time?

Has anyone actually gotten a follow-up or result after filing a cybercrime complaint? Mine feel like dead ends.

I have filed more than 10 complaints regarding online sexual harassment and rape threats I & my friend circle have received but I honestly do not see any proper follow up or action happening. Am I going about this the wrong way? Like is there some specific format for follow ups or some better way to track these anonymous complaints?

People who have actually gotten results please share what worked for you. I would really appreciate practical guidance on how to handle this properly

Rewatching on Apple TV, The Facial Features Doesn't Disappear At All

One of the most accepted theories from this subreddit is Right Eye Theory where real Nikki is said to be trapped in her right eye and Wish Nikki hides that eye in darkness or by turning her face away from Bear. That theory was also used to explain the reverse walking scene, the dark corner bedroom shot i.e "It's Not Mutual" and moments where her eye seems to vanish.

After rewatching some of that effect can plausibly be explained by CAMRIP quality distortion which made her face look like it is fading even when it is not. But I do not think the theory is completely false either especially because the boys’ night scene where real Nikki tries to hit the bottle on her right eye feels like a deliberate visual clue. That right side focus seems too specific to ignore...

My best assumption is that they used Nikki’s right eye as a foundational symbol...maybe as the place where the split between real Nikki and Wish Nikki is most unstable.

Recruiter Told Me My Resume Was “Nearly Empty” After I Refused To Pay 10K For Their Skill Training Programme Disguised As An “Internship”

Context : I got a message from a company "Takeoff Edu Group" saying they were hiring for a full stack web dev internship. It sounded normal at first so I shared my resume. Then they called me and said I was selected for a 2 month internship. When I asked what I would be doing and my responsibilities they said I just had to watch assigned material videos in their portal and submit daily reports. After that they told me I had to pay ₹10,000 as a joining fee. They also said if I perform well I might get added to some projects later and earn incentives.

I said I am not interested but they kept calling me again and again trying to convince me. I blocked them but they reached out again from another number. This time they said my resume is nearly empty and this opportunity would improve my profile and help recruiters notice me. I got raged so bad and reported and blocked them. Just sharing this so others don’t fall for the same thing.

Made A Reddit Extension Because Searching The Right Meme I Want To Comment Got Annoying

I have been a member of r/kollywood for almost a year now and when commenting I always prefer to comment a situational meme instead of just text. But I kept running into the same problem, I wanted to reply with a meme but then I would waste time hunting for the right image, copying it, uploading it, and all that just to drop one comment.

So I ended up making a Chrome extension for myself. Now I can just type the meme name in the comment box, hit space, and it gets replaced with the meme IMAGE automatically. It works with Reddit’s comment editor and saves me the whole “search-download-upload-post” routine.

Nothing crazy, didn't solve any major problem haha, just a little tool that makes meme commenting way faster. Now before anyone tells "Japan Kaaran..." I already added it as my extension Icon!

My School Juniors are seriously considering NDA after watching Dhurandhar

Not sure if this is happening elsewhere too but I wanted to share something quite interesting.

One junior from my school recently texted me asking for my Mathematics Modules which I used to my JEE Prep along with CUET-UG General Test and English books. Upon asking why he said he wanted to start preparing for the NDA after watching Dhurandhar. I know movies often get criticized for creating temporary hype but I really wanna give credit where it's due. Hopefully this isn't just a short term craze that disappears in a few months. It would be great if even a fraction of these students stay committed and pursue the goal seriously.

I just wanted to let this sub know about this small but positive impact I saw.

Can someone fact-check this? Is this true? CCTV footage shows man brutally killing woman in office [Warning : Assault and Violence]

I am literally shivering reading this. OMG. Women are not even safe in the workspace now? Are we supposed to carry this fear of getting assaulted every second? This is so horrifying and heartbreaking. I just came across a post claiming that in Punjab, a 30 year old woman, Dimple was allegedly stabbed to death by Harjinder Singh inside their office in Mohali after she told him she wanted to break up.

According to the post they had been in a relationship for 3 years and worked at the same company. It says he followed her into the office, attacked her with a knife and killed her. Apparently, coworkers tried to stop him but couldn't save her and he later attempted suicide by stabbing himself.

Can anyone confirm whether this actually happened? Any reliable news sources or details about the case??

If I had a nickel for every time Vijay Sethupathi being restrained by several police officers inside a police station, I'd have two nickels. Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice!
