Alabama Air National Guard here, ANGEAP question

So was prior service and then joined the Alabama ANG last year after a hiatus. I was told I could use the ANGEAP after tech school and that it would pay everything prior to my remainder of my post 9/11, but from what I’m reading online is that Post 9/11 will pay first then ANGEAP; however, if post pays first then ANGEAP would I actually get any of the benefits from ANGEAP if post pays first and pays everything?

First timer, going Friday

Definitely going for the workshop and to build my own lightsaber, going thru it twice actually cuz my little brother can’t come so imma build him one. But other than the workshop, any advice for other Star Wars related things to do? Hopefully get to do the Rise of the Resistance before my lightsaber building.

Looking at getting a 4tb Samsung 990 Pro, but…

I have the Zephyrus G14 Ryzen 9 HX 370 | 5070 Ti | 32gb ram | 1 tb however I’ve already upgraded it to 2tb but I’m thinking of returning the 2tb and grabbing the 4tb version cuz yeah I’m getting close to running out of space already.

Anywho, how can I go about partitioning the drive to have a separate drive for just games and all that jazz? Being a new ssd and having to install windows via my recovery flash drive, how can I create separate drives?

Anyone use the Backbone controller for iPhone?

Looking at getting a controller, nothing super bulky or expensive and I can get the backbone controller tomorrow. But how does controller work on mobile, optimized well or nah? Also, does it base the controls off Xbox controls or PS controls? I hate when I get an Xbox controller and the game thinks I’m playing with a PS controller and vice versa 😅

New G16 Owner Intel Core Ultra 9 | RTX 5080 | 32gb ram | 2tb ssd

Copped this as an open box-fair but it was literally never opened besides the external box. The internal box was still shrink wrapped along with the charger being wrapped still too.

First and foremost, anyone got some ghelper settings? Imma uninstall AC and install ghelper right away.

Why it so hard to figure out actual item quantities?

So I’ve called and spoke with the AI crap and checked the app and while both the app and AI say yes the nearest store has item, I go to the store and they say no. And no I don’t have the ability to have it shipped to me. Is there any possible way around this?

Just got the Zephyrus G14 Ryzen 9 270 | RTX 5060, what should I do first?

Just got the Acer Predator Helios Neo 16S AI 240hz OLED Intel Core Ultra 9 275hx | 5070 Ti | 32gb ram | 1tb ssd

First and foremost, what should I do? First time with Acer in general. Normally I’m an Asus guy but for $1860 for these specs I couldn’t pass up. I’ve read about the refresh rate being annoying cuz it’s always at 240hz but I’m always plugged in so it shouldn’t be an issue for me.

Anyways, any first must dos at start up? Things to get rid of or install specifically?

Looking at this, anyone have opinions on it?

The original laptop I was going to get jumped up $700 bucks sadly so was eyeing this now. Yeah I know it’s just 16gb ram but I believe it’s upgradable as per Google 😅

Also, with the price it leaves me room to get say another 1tb ssd.

Edit: went with another computer so no longer need opinions on this.

Has the update for the seasonal stuff already started?

If so, if I were to buy anything expansion wise or from the store at all, what is recommended? Heard that prior expansions are gonna slowly become f2p versus having to pay for access but I’m not 100% on that.

Anyone here by chance play on the Asus ROG Xbox Ally X?

Currently playing on the Asus ROG XAX and I set my resolution to 900p but my monitor is 1080p and won’t let me chance it and I’m currently getting this overall look and I don’t like how everything seems small. Like overall UI and hud seems small. I’d like the skill bar a bit bigger and the UI menu bigger cuz this some small font 😅

Edit: my issue is squared away now, but if anyone plays on the XAX, do you have preferred settings for graphics and such?

Picking up an Asus ROG Xbox Ally X Friday and got a question…

So it comes with a 1tb ssd but I’m going to purchase a 2tb ssd and put that in. Will I be screwed without having a boot drive or will there be a cloud option to download windows on the new drive? I won’t have a way to dock the Ally or anything.

Thoughts on these two: Asus ROG STRIX G614FR-DS96 and Asus ROG STRIX G614PR-G16

I’m between these currently Asus ROG STRIX G16 Ryzen 9 9955HX3D | 5070 Ti | 32gb ram | 1tb ssd for $2299.99 or Asus ROG STRIX G16 Ryzen 9 8940HX | 5070 TI | 16gb ram | 1tb ssd for $1649.99 sale goes off in 11 hours so won’t be able to purchase it in time at the sale price so it’ll go up to $2299.99 so looks like at these prices the one with the 9955HX3D will be the best.

The first model has a 2.5k screen at 240hz while the second model is FHD 1080p at 165hz which honestly I’ve never played any games over 1080p. Is the price difference worth the performance difference?

I do plan to play quite a bit of triple A games but I’m planning to finish my degree in Computer Sciences as well and currently trying to teach myself coding.

Thoughts between Asus G614FR-DS96 vs G614PR-G16?

So I’m looking at picking up a new gaming rig this week and yeah I know I could get a much better desktop at these prices but I need portability.

Thoughts between the following:
Asus G614FR-DS96 $2,299.99
Specs:
CPU 9955HX3D
RAM 32GB
GPU 5070 Ti
SSD 1tb

Asus G615PR-G16 $1649.99
Specs:
CPU 8940hx
Ram 16gb
GPU 5070 Ti
SSD 1tb

Is the difference in price gonna give me huge performance gains or would the 9955hx3d just be slightly better for the price diff?

Asus Zephyrus G14 GA403WR Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 | 5070 Ti | 32GB Ram | 1TB SSD, thoughts?

Yes I could go with a desktop but I’m currently traveling quite a bit and not in a static position for too long so a laptop is my best option. And yes I know for the price of this laptop I could build a much better desktop most likely but again as I stated before, not static.

So anyways, what’s y’all’s thoughts on this? I’ve checked out some vids and gaming wise it seems pretty top of the line which I really like. Also, in need of something portable for carrying around and I’m wanting to get into coding and such so I figured this would be perfect. Granted yes it’s a smaller screen but I’m totally fine with that.

Edit: this model has a 2tb ssd not a 1tb ssd

Advice for jumping back in

I already know what some are gonna say, but I don’t care. I had to drop off just a bit after release due to irl stuffs and just redownloaded the game last night and found a clan to join. I’m currently lvl 16 and like 5,71k power so I didn’t make it far in the beginning, but I really wanna enjoy the game, bugs or not.

Anyways, what advice do y’all have for me to get back at it? FYI I will not be responding to “Just don’t” or any kind of negative response against the game. I like that we have a Division game on mobile that I can just hop on during breaks or while relaxing watching a movies and knock out some things. Yes, I know there is Division and Division 2 on PC of which I play Division 2 here n there as well.
