Where to sell CNC parts

I've collected some high end CNC parts in hopes of making my own CNC machine and I think im going to bite the bullet and sell them all.

Velmex BiSide Linear Rails and premounted Nema23 motors, aluminum Extrusion for the frame, water cooled spindle with VFD, etc. All the wiring, connectors, and screws/mounts necessary to throw the whole thing together.

All brand new.

I think the only things missing are the motor controllers and the controller to take in the g code.

Where on earth can I sell it? I know its not ideal on this sub to say so, but I dont have the time to make a CNC machine, and my business in a deeper need for a CNC versus using a friends CNC machine on his off days.

Ive heard Ebay, but that seems like it doesn't make sense.

Does anyone here build CNC Machines if I supply parts?

I know it might be a dirty question to a subreddit to ask this. But I have a ton of parts from what I was hoping to have be my own CNC build. Over a year later and I haven't had much time to build one, but ive needed one more and more versus borrowing my friends CNC.

Is there anyone here local to Montana that builds them? Especially if i supply parts? Its not 100% there, yet, I know im missing a few things but ideally we can chat about what's missing and I can get those parts to you and we can work something out.

Slightly Specific Suggestions for a home use CNC

Hey all!

I was planning to build my own CNC, but im finding myself with less and less time to make one, so im considering selling all the parts in hopes to buy one thats a little closer to turn key ready.

The challenges I face:

I need a 2 x 3 ft CNC, minimum 4" Z axis travel height.

I need it to be able to run on 115/120V (I have a 80mm water cooled spindle with mounting that I could keep to prevent the dreaded upgrade cost)

It needs to cut wood, and ocassionally small aluminum parts.

I dont have a major need for it to come with a table, I can build one out of Delron or some from of strong plastic, since I plan to build a vac table for it anyway.

Any suggestions?

Ideal Budget would be $2,000 liquid cash, or sub $4000 on a payment plan like Affirm. Willing to go up to $5,000, but it needs to check all the boxes and then some.

Two challenges ive noticed with taking the QC out to gigs.

Hey all, took my QC on its first with zero modifications and noticed two things right away.

For context, im a bassist, plugging into QC, straight to House sound. No pedals in between and plugged into a power conditioner (no power supply outside of factory stock)

1: when switching the presets, theres a noticeable lag and slight shift to the sound before the next setting comes in. Its for every sound ive put together, but its only a problem when I have to switch from section to section (especially when im having to do so quickly) if I have a moment between sections or songs, its not a big problem compared to switching from note to note.

2: though incredibly small and light, its interesting travelling with the QC in a gig bag. It almost feels like its barely protected, and that sitting in a gig bag in a sprinter van is asking for it to break easily. Has anyone found some travel friendly work around to taking your instrument and QC? Maybe some form of hardshell care big enough for the two and cables? Ill do my best to avoid a pedalboard if I can manage it, but i can see the inevitable need to be tidy coming to brew.

Edit: i realize i worded this poorly for point #1. I have one preset, and utilize all 8 scenes within said preset.

My preset stays on, in some form of stomp mode (when you swipe the screen up and all 8 scenes are on one screen) and i tap through the 8 through the set (A-H).

I dont change the presets within songs, but just change the scenes, sorry.

Edit 2: SOLVED. Thank you.

For the cases, ill likely purchase a larger gun case to fit my bass and pedalboard thanks all.

[REQUEST] Posting Recipes with Bagels

Hey all. Id love to ask about this as a novice bagel maker who would love to make better looking bagels.

I see a ton of photos of bagels that look incredible, but id love to ask about recipes for bagels too!

I know in some subs I follow you need to post the methods with the photos ans id be curious ask why that doesn't often exist here too.

Building a bass poll (results)

Hey all! About a week ago I posted a poll for everyone to discuss here:

https://www.reddit.com/r/Bass/s/7UHyP4UiTC

Heres the results. Some of it was surprising and a good chunk of it wasn't all that surprising.

What surprised me most: finish. I expected a lot of people to prefer a fully lacquer finish, versus the oil/lacquer combo. A secondary surprise was fretbosrd choice. I expected it to be heavily in one direction, versus pretry much split down the middle.

What surprised me least: Maple neck. I would have hoped for my cherry neck votes, but I just dont think there's enough cherry neck instruments there for it to be a contender yet.

Thank you to the 39 people who voted!

Designing a Bass with Reddit

Hey all, let me know if this is not a good place to put this. This is a feedback request

Reddit Bass Poll

I've been an instrument builder for almost a decade now, and I'm hoping to check in on the current bass purchasing market to see what makes sense for the touring/hobby musician to dig. It's an experiment I like to conduct with all of the instruments I've made over the years to keep making cool things that people dig.

I made a little Google survey that I'd hope for some of you guys to throw some input into to see what makes sense for someone like me to maybe make 8-12 basses per year. Maybe more if it makes sense from a business perspective between the year long backlog of client commissions i already have.

Ideally, all in all, I just want to see how far off I am from the fellow bassists.

disclaimer: I've set all settings to be anonymous. I'm not wanting to collect any email or personal information from anyone here. its a hopeful experiment to see if the numbers make sense.

Edit: the results so far are fascinating. Ill post the results in about a week to see what Reddit thinks makes the most sense with a financial breakdown too if that's okay!

Cheers all, stoked to see the responses

Silly Questions before making the switch that I couldn't seem to find answers to.

Hey all. Another person looking to make the switch from pedals to a DSP (Quad Cortx Full Size).

I have some questions I couldn't quite get answered im hoping to solve here:

- My friend has a QC. Would i be able to copy my pedal settings to his account and then transfer them to mine if i got one? I want to avoid the buying the QC and then selling pedals part, or the selling pedals and never having those settings copied for the QC.

- Can i make duplicates on a thumb drive as a back up?

- seeing some pedals are downloaded already, are they fully adjustable for the QC? Are the pedals I copy fully adjustable too? Or are they copied as the settings only and can only be adjusted as more or less of that pedal sound?

First swing at a bagel.

Overall, not a bad looking bagel, especially for using half AP flour (i ran out of bread flour 😅)

I went with a suoer simple bagel recipe I found online and baked on a pizza stone. Im going to try it again with all bread flour this time and aim for a sticker dough versus the dryer one the recipe called for.

Ideally, im aiming to make a set of bagels per week.
