Looking for live GEX and historical GEX to backtest

Hi! I'm looking for an application, website, or some type of software where I can see live GEX levels during my trading and possibly overlay them on my TradingView chart.

I'm also looking for historical GEX levels in order to backtest a strategy I'm working on.

I prefer free software or open-source ones (of course), so if you have any recommendations or know anywhere that I can find that, that would be awesome!

Thanks in advance!

Edit: Some people are saying there is no free tool. I understand. But what tool can I use if there is no free tool? Suggestions?

Need help with Discord server growth

I have a trading Discord filled with about 780 members as of this post. We constantly have around at least 40 members online at most times. During market hours it can go to 50-60.

After looking at other servers, I found out that a good benchmark to see if your server is active or at least as online members is having 10% of your total members online.

Now don't get me wrong, the trading server is active during the day we talk about stocks and trading all the time. But during the afternoon, it tends to slow down and during the evening talking normally goes from slim to none. I understand people are away from the charts and aren't trading at night as much so it makes sense.

But my problem is growing the server and bringing in real members. We currently post on social media and run ad campaigns from time to time on social media. Conversion rates from those ads are currently low (have only ran about 3 ad campaigns to this day though).

I want to bring in more real members who are experienced traders and investors in the stocks and futures market, but I'm not sure of another method of growth.

With the right tools, I believe we can reach 1,000 members before the end of 2026, but I just need to find those right tools. We are on disboard and social media.

Does anyone have any suggestions or tips that we could use to help increase server activity and the amount of members in the server? (Real traders and investors, not bots or spam accounts)

Is Google Ads worth it for online communities?

Please don't take this as a promotion! This is just providing context to understand the need! I run an online community full of traders and investors. My goal is to bring in as many real traders and investors as possible in order to fix this industry's "fake gurus" and provide transparency to every in regards to market analysis, discussion, and people.

Now I'm getting into running ad campaigns and have used meta ads before. I want to try out other platforms as well, like google ads, reddit, and twitter.

For those that have experience with google ads (related to online communities or not), is it worth it? How does it work? Did you see good results from it?

I recently had a bad experience with another platform and I need to pivot fast since this ad is a Back To School campaign.

All tips help, thanks in advance!

Reddit Ads Please Fix This

I was running a campaign that was supposed to go from August 4th to August 16th with a budget of $75 + their 20%. I set a lifetime cap at $100.

Because I set that lifetime cap at $100, they spent all of the budget on August 4th, causing the rest of the campaign to get no more views.

This is the first time I'm using Reddit ads. I got charged around $90, thinking they are just charging me up front instead of throughout.

Normally, when I use Meta ads, putting a lifetime budget means the budget you put is spread across the lifetime of the campaign, not just 1 day.

Was this a mistake I made or a mistake Reddit made? Please, if you have any tips or something, I would like some help as the money put towards this ad doesn't seem like a lot but it is a lot to me.

I would like to hire a marketer for my community but can only pay a small amount (I will not promote)

I'm struggling with creating content for my community on social media in order to attract people to the community. I spend hours looking for potential video ideas, hooks, and other content ideas.

Building a community from scratch all alone is a task beyond difficult. A co-founder, or a team of people in general, would be an awesome addition to help grow the community. I've been doing marketing, product design and engineering, accounting, and all the other necessities by myself.

Yes, this is a startup, and I'm heavily focused on building up the initial parts of the business, which starts with this community.

I would love to bring people onto the team and pay them, but currently I do not bring in enough pay to pay at a good rate. I can pay, but it won't be at a good rate. Currently, I could use a head of marketing to focus on content and growth while I focus on other stuff. The problem is I'm not sure how to pay them at a rate they would appreciate, given we are still starting up.

Does anyone have any tips for me that I could use to find the right marketer and pay them accordingly?

Anything and everything helps, thanks!

Tiktok Support is Mind Boggling!

I want to go in here and just rant but that’s not going to help me at all so I’m just going to ask for help.

I’ve been contacting tiktok since June and i keep getting a bot like response. My account is shadow banned. Since June 1, all my videos have been getting 0 views except 2 of them.

I post every single day and have been since around the end of last year.

I’ve used the chat support multiple times, and I’ve emailed them. They told me to go to the report a problem to “ensure it gets to the right people” even though they told me that THEY would send it to the right people. Like is there a corporate number or SOMETHING i can call or a REAL HUMAN BEING i can speak to? Or do they just want my data? Like please this is getting to a point…

Do i just need to make a new account? I know this happened to others but was it ever resolved?

This is now the second time I’m emailing them.

Tiktok Customer Support is Invigorating.

You have to be kidding me! My account is STILL getting 0 views ever since June 1 of this year!

People on reddit have been saying to contact support multiple times to eventually get the help. I was thinking this would just last 1 month and it’s STILL going on man..

Look at all these photos and take a look at my response and their response. Asked me to send them a link to the video getting no views and i sent it

Then in the following message they THANK me for sending them the link then ask again for the link. What??

Please does anyone know what to do PLEASE

I want to learn python for trading but not sure where to start. (Algorithmic/Systematic Trading)

I'm currently a trader, not profitable, but I'm interested in algorithmic trading. Researching trading strategies, backtesting them, and putting it all into a system that trades for you really intrigues me.

I didn't learn about this until my current year of college (junior), so I didn't choose a major that would cater to it.

I'm not really sure where to start. Courses have always been a no-go for me, especially in this trading space. IYKYK. But I'm COMPLETELY NEW to Python, as in I don't know a single thing.

How long did it take you guys to learn, and what are ways that I can learn Python in order to successfully understand how to properly code in it and create algorithms that trade for you?

Any tips would help!

Thanks in advance!

Has there been a fix to the tiktok shadow ban?

My videos have been getting anywhere from 0-5 views per video ever since June 1. I used to get normally in the 100s but it’s not going back up.

I know others are experiencing this so I wanted to ask, has there been a fix for others? I’m occasionally trying to be active on the tiktok account by liking and watching videos on there instead of my personally account (sometimes, not to often)

But all the videos are public and not getting any views.

If you have a solution please help!

(Contacting tiktok isn’t helpful because the response feels robotic and not genuine, or human.)

PLEASE HELP ME

Please help there has to be someone who can help me with this. I’m trying to run meta ads and check up on them to see how they are doing.

I’m on my phone, the meta ads app is telling me i don’t have any ads running. I checked on my laptop and it’s telling me “something went wrong”.

How am I supposed to check up on my ads when facebook isn’t letting me? And they are billing my bank!!!

They don’t have any support person to call or contact. Just an AI bot that doesn’t even help.

PLEASE.

Meta Ads Manager not working, please help

I took a few hours last night to start up an ad campaign for my business and I'm trying to log into my ads manager account and see if it's running successfully or not. I KEEP running into THIS SAME message every single time I try to log in and it's a little frustrating.

I tried using the Meta AI support and it's telling me there's a problem with my payments authorization or something? Clearly there isn't because meta is already billing my card. Asked to talk to a real person and told me human agents are unavailable.

I keep seeing the same"Sorry, something unexpected happened. Try again.
(Invalid request. (#1)). Your internet connection was lost. Some of your work may not be available."

My internet connection is fine.

Then I see:

"Refresh your screen

You've been away from your work for a while and you need to refresh your browser to continue working. All your work is saved and will be available after you refresh."

I've refreshed countless times.

Then in the bottom right corner it shows me:
"Some of your data failed to load.

Some data in your table didn't load fully because of an API error. If the problem persists, try narrowing your filters or exporting the data from this view as an XLS or CSV file."

Please if anyone knows how to fix this annoying bug or whatever it is, I would kindly appreciate it.

So i asked Tiktok Tako (their AI) why my views since the beginning of June have been staying at 0 and this is what it said:

Just a complete copy and paste of what it told me:

It's frustrating to see your views stuck at 0, especially since June. This can happen for a few reasons, from simple technical glitches to account-level issues. Let's break down the most common causes and fixes.

First, Is It a Delayed Count?

Sometimes, the view counter just lags and hasn't updated yet. Before checking other reasons, give it a little time. If it's still at 0 after a few hours, it's likely a distribution problem, not a delay.

Common Causes & Fixes

  1. Technical Glitches or Upload Errors
This is a common culprit, especially if your video gets stuck processing.

• Fix: Try the "Private/Public Toggle". Go to your video, tap the three dots, change the privacy to "Only Me," wait a moment, and then switch it back to "Everyone." This forces the server to re-index your video.
• Also try: Clearing your TikTok cache. Go to Profile → Settings and Privacy → Free up space → Clear Cache. Restarting your phone afterward can also help.

  1. Account Engagement & Verification
New accounts or accounts that are inactive might not get pushed by the algorithm. TikTok needs to recognize you as an active user.

• Fix: Actively engage with other videos on the platform. Like a few videos, leave a comment, and share content in your niche. This signals to the algorithm that you're an active user who wants to grow.
3. Content Issues
Your video might be getting blocked for policy reasons or simply not optimized for discovery.

• Check for flags: Look for a gray banner on your video that says, "Not eligible for the For You feed." This means it was likely caught by a filter.
• Fixes:
• Ensure your content is original and not a repost. TikTok favors unique videos.
• Add captions and relevant keywords to your description and hashtags. This helps the algorithm understand what your video is about and who to show it to (TikTok SEO).
• Avoid posting static images, QR codes, or content that is very similar to other videos on the platform.

  1. Potential Shadowban
A shadowban means your content is being suppressed without you knowing. This often happens after an accidental guideline violation.

• How to check:
• Look for a sudden, significant drop in views, especially from the "For You" page.
• Search for your videos directly by username or with a unique hashtag from a different account. If they don't appear, your reach is likely limited.
• Fixes: Focus on posting high-quality, original content consistently. Avoid using banned hashtags or engaging in spammy behavior like rapid follow/unfollows.

Prevention Tips

• Avoid reposting content from other platforms without adding significant original commentary or editing.
• Don't delete and repost the same video repeatedly. This can trigger spam filters and hurt your account's trust score.
• Check your Account Status in Settings → Account → Account Status for any violations or warnings.

I know that's a lot of information! A common next step is checking for a shadowban. Would you like me to walk you through how to do that?

Can someone PLEASE help me?

Ever since the beginning of June, all of my tiktok videos have gotten no more than 4 views. Before I used to get maybe at least 50+.

My account is relatively small at around 100+ followers. I've tried contact their support and it's just telling me to go to a tiktok article that doesn't assist me at all.

I post every single day and once I saw this (around the beginning of last week), I didn't post for the rest of the week (about 4-5 days). Once that time was over, I posted again today and the video is still sitting at 0 views. Not even 1.

Is this happening to anyone else? Did I do something I didn't know of? Is there a way I can speak to a REAL human being not an ai support assistant?

I want to learn Quant Trading but...

Ok so I'm currently a working day trader, as in I'm not profitable, but I've been consistently at it for 2 years, refining things and slowly working towards it.

I've thought of the reason I trade and why I show up for it every day, and I want to pursue it as a part of my career. Now I know quantitative traders use statistics, math, and coding to be the best traders they can be.

I want to break into quantitative trading because I think that would be fun for me, but I'm working towards a Business Management degree. I know firms that take quants probably only look for the best, so I don't know if they would even be willing to teach people like me.

I applied to SIG for the quantitative trading/research internship roles. They sent the quantitative assessment, and I still haven't taken it because I don't think I have the knowledge and skills to pass it (after looking at some Reddit and other research about what's on the assessment). It's just been sitting in my email. I would love to get into it, but not sure of the best way.

What should I do?

My views have been stuck between 0-2, please help!

I've been scheduling posts on my account for a few months now and I just recently switched up the way I do content.

The past 10 videos I've posted have gotten between 0-2 views. It used to be a few hundred, maybe like 100-500+, then it went down to 20-100, now it's at 0-2 views per video.

I don't know if I did anything wrong, if anyone can assist, that would be awesome.

What is something annoying about the traders/investors community??

When i started trading i was watching lots of influencers and trading videos to help me understand how everything worked. But i eventually realized i was watching “too much”, as in to many different traders, ppl trading different things, etc. A lot of them can be fake too by only posting profits, maybe doing paid promotions or other things.

But to answer the question, I think the problem is there is a lack of accountability between testers so it’s hard figuring out who to trust. Like I KNOW i can put my money on steph curry to make a 3 because i’ve seen him do it multiple times, but idk if i can trust certain traders telling me “buy this stock because it’s going to be a great investment”. Like i’ve watched your videos and all, but how can i trust you???

How simple/complex is your trading?

Lots of people out there make trading complicated, while some make it simple. Some use lots of indicators, while some use none. Institutions use algorithms and are profitable, while some retailers may just use a free indicators.

Just out of curiosity, how simple/complex is your trading and why? Is that just how you learned or what works best for you?

What should Bob do?

So i’m going to talk about someone, but in this case i’m going to call them Bob.

Bob likes day trading. He wants to make it a part of his career. He has an idea of how he wants to use it.

But Bob’s parents want him to get a job and trade on the side, which is a smart financial decision. But bob wants to just focus on getting better at day trading.

Now bob’s wants to work at a place that will help him get better at day trading. For example, a hedge fund, proprietary trading firm, or others related to that. He’s currently a college student, living with his parents, studying Business Management, but would be open to taking an internship related to trading, not for the current summer, but the next (since most applications are closed).

He thinks in order to advance his trading career, he needs to learn things like asset management, portfolio management, possibly algorithmic trading, and such from firms like mentioned before.

Given his desire to get better at trading, his Business Management degree, and the desire of his parents, what should Bob do?

(Take into account that now a days, trading firms may not hire unless they have some type of experience related to the position they are applying for, not just because Bob’s degree says Business Management.)
