I snagged Lagrange Point for around $8 on an online auction. The seller had a typo in the title, so it flew under everyone's radar

Made a little storage insert for my Famicom games to fit inside an antique chest. I just put together some MDF board and wooden strips with a staple gun, then finished it with varnish. Pretty happy with how it turned out for something I made on the fly.

1942 and Commando were released on MSX, but Ghosts 'n Goblins never made it out, right?

I removed the magnifying lens and swapped in an 8-inch 4:3 LCD. It fits the housing almost perfectly

Let's say the Saturn beat the PlayStation and Sega became the biggest name in gaming. How different would the world be? Games, hardware, the industry, memes... anything goes.Would it be a utopia or a dystopia?

I'll go first.

In this timeline, Sega's '32-bit + 32-bit = 64-bit' is taught in physics class alongside E = mc².

I'm not looking for games about drinking. I mean games that you didn't think were very good, but somehow become a lot of fun after a few drinks. What comes to mind?

Edit: Of course, Final Fight is still the greatest beat 'em up ever made, even sober!! I only used a Final Fight screenshot because it happened to have whiskey and beer on the floor next to Haggar. ;)

Is this an action game? An adventure game? Who am I? What am I supposed to do? Is this the ancestor of Metroidvania?

Takeoka-style ramen is a local specialty that was originally created so fishermen could quickly load up on salt and calories after a long day at sea. The signature soup is just the braising liquid from the chashu thinned with the water used to boil the noodles. And instead of fresh noodles, it deliberately uses instant ones.

The seller said, "I haven't checked it, but if the game data is still there, it should have the epic multi-ending RPG I poured my heart and soul into making when I was in middle school."

—The data was still alive, and there it was: a game called "Tenma Tenjin (Demon and Divine?)"  basically a middle school boy's inner world condensed into a deeply personal RPG.

I'm gonna do my best to beat it.

CASIO's Yokai Yashiki always felt like Konami's The Goonies with a Japanese horror twist. Getting the right items can make a huge difference, but the boss fights help break up the exploration. And that final boss... what the hell is that?

Fewer stages, but it plays really well. And unlike the Famicom version, it even has a homing laser

Was just digging through junk there, poking around Famicom stuff, and grabbed an RF switch and a Disk System RAM adapter.

Unlike the first two games, it's an adventure game built around exploration, talking to people, and puzzle solving. The boss battles mix things up too, with action, puzzles, and even a Breakout-style fight.
