Just got my ASVAB scores back for Army Reserve, looking for MOS recommendations

Hey everyone, finally got my ASVAB and Cyber Test scores back and I'm looking for some solid MOS recommendations for the Army Reserve. Recruiter said no retests since I passed and hit Category IIIA, so I'm moving forward with what I have on paper. I am also 37 years old and have been out of school for a long time lol.

Overall, my AFQT is a 55. My Cyber Test (CT) came back at 70, and my CR is 48.

For my line scores, I got GT 103, CL 101, SC 99, ST 98, EL 98, GM 96, CO 96, FA 96, OF 96, and MM 95.

My raw standard subtests were VE 53, PC 53, WK 52, MK 51, AR 50, EI 49, AO 49, AS 48, GS 43, and MC 41.

I'm mostly looking for roles with good civilian marketability, useful training or certifications, and a solid drill experience in the Reserves.

Based on these numbers, what MOSs would you recommend checking out or asking my recruiter to look up for local unit vacancies? Appreciate any real feedback from anyone currently serving.

So many bugs in big project AI Slop quiz retake

Crazy, waited months to join a project. Now there is no way to reset the AI Slop exam. If you fail it, you’re locked out. Especially when we all received a 24 hour finish all training and quiz email or get off boarded. This is a travesty.

Really hurts.

Coinbase Credit Card - Security Deposit

It is nice Coinbase has made it achievable for everyone to take part even if your credit is not good. However, its upsetting there is no option for it to be upgraded to a unsecure card.

Makes me think they are just trying to hoard assets.

Shoutout ASU — Got my MCWs approved after a brutal 2022

Man, I just need to share a massive win because I’m honestly so relieved. I just got official word that my Medical Compassionate Withdrawal (MCW) requests for my 2022 terms were approved in literally one day.

Back in 2022, life completely derailed on me. I was dealing with severe medical issues, fighting through active alcoholism, and trying to hold things together while my grades completely tanked. It’s been a massive, heavy weight hanging over my head for years trying to figure out how to clean the slate and move forward.

I pulled together all my documentation, medical records, and a thorough personal letter laying out the raw truth about what went down. including the battle with alcohol and the health crisis that caused everything to collapse and submitted the whole packet Honestly, I was stressing that because it has been 4 years, because of the nature of addiction, they'd just brush it off, stall, or give me a hard time about the timeline. But they actually read everything I provided, looked at the real, human situation, and pushed it through immediately.

Shoutout to the team over there for handling it so fast and letting me finally get past that chapter of my life. It feels completely unreal to have those failing grades converted to non-punitive "W"s so my cumulative GPA isn't getting dragged down anymore by a year where I was genuinely sick and struggling to survive.

If anyone is sitting on old medical documentation or dealing with things like addiction and health crises from back then, and you're stressing about whether it's worth trying to fix your transcript, don't give up. Put together a real, detailed, honest narrative with your documentation and submit it. ASU actually came through for me way faster than I ever expected, and it feels damn good to have a clean path forward to finish what I started.

Finished C722 Project Management in 2 hours! NOW WAITING FOR CONFETTI!

just finished my final class for the term! Honestly, I didn't even touch the textbook. I found a great Quizlet set in 'Learn' mode from a previous post, had Gemini summarize the main concepts I needed to focus on, and just powered through the practice tests in the book. Now just waiting for the confetti! 🎊

No longer get achievement pop ups

So, out of no where for the last 2-3 months I would usually get a pop up when I earned another day of activity. However I no longer get pop up’s about achievements or anything. However do I fix this?

D080 in 2 day

Just passed D080 and wanted to share exactly how I did it in about 2 days, especially since the PA and OA are pretty different.
First off, the PA is mostly just testing you on vocabulary terms.

The OA is almost entirely scenario-based questions where they put you in a business situation and you have to pick the right strategy. Honestly, if you focus heavily on studying Module 2 and Module 4, the rest of the course is mostly common sense.

Here is the exact routine I used to pass:
1. I skipped reading the text modules entirely and just watched all the cohort videos available in the WGU student portal.

2. I went to YouTube and watched the videos covering the 100 practice test questions to see how the exam phrases things.

3. I used Gemini AI to drill me. I had it give me brief summaries of what I actually needed to know for each module, explain the terms, and run me through rapid-fire scenario quizzes until it clicked.

Keep in mind the YouTube OA practice video and their website has about 300 practice questions but those questions are not like anything on the test but what they do help you understand is the actual concept behind the type of question that you’ll see on a real OA

Don't overthink this one. Drill the scenarios for the main modules, use AI to quiz you, and you can knock this out fast. Good luck!
