There were 2 DJ Oyster’s in Tampa if I’m not mistaken.One on Gandy and the other on Busch.Each had a big ol Clam up top the street sign.The one at Gandy was Fred I and the other was Fred II.Fred II was actually an animatronic figure that opened and closed!Not sure about nr.1 though.

Does anyone here know:

-Did the Clam at the Gandy store open and close?

-How long did the Clams(specifically nr. 2 from the Busch location) last?

-What happened to either of the Clams and where might they be today?

[TOMT] Help me find this Live action Disney short about rain I saw on Disney Junior in Romania in the early 2000’s

Alright so I’m Romanian and in our language we have this expression “plouă cu găleata” which roughly translates too “it’s raining with the bucket”.You can probably guess that it’s used when it’s raining really heavily.

Anyways I saw this live action intermission segment/short a few times when I was really little.BASSICALLY there were the Walkaround versions of Mickey and Minnie from the parks(SPECIFACLLY the ones pre 2016 before they changed the head sculpts)

It was them along with 2 kids,a girl and boy,I think one or both were of some kind of Asian decent but I’m not sure.

Anyways they were on set with a solid blue backdrop and solid green floor,with flat tree props near the very back.The main set piece was this kind of…garage maybe or house porch that had a bunch of random cartoony props(maybe hammers and tool boxes and I think a red tricycle but I’m not 100%)

Anyways the short basically went like this:

There was this sort of jolly yet calm music trough the whole short sung softly by I think a children’s voices,kinda similar to the child choir in Hawaian Roler Coaster ride from Lilo and Stitch?

Mickey Minnie and the 2 kids were outside in front of the house…garage…thing and were jumping and dancing around,you know the type of moves you see in stock footage?Anyways there was this sort of loop where first the kids would do their thing with Mickey and Minnie,then the choir would say “plouă plouă plouă cu găleata” which means “it’s raining raining raining with the bucket” and all 4 would run inside/under the porch roof and the lighting on set would change to a dark blue light and a bunch of animated rain drops would go down the screen.After this the sun would come back out,the 4 would do their thing a the cycle repeated a few times.

I’ve tried looking a bunch for this short but have never found it.Any help?

Is it possible Mr Marvelous is the same bot as the Mijjin prototype?

Ok So in order here the slides are the Mijjin prototype,Mijjin prototype again with different cosmetics,Mr Marvelous’s mech showing his hands and Mr Marvelous himself

Now I pose this question as from the research I have done and have been able to find the only Mijjins to had articulated hands are the Mijjinator,the proto Mijjin,and Mr Marvelous

Now in the video the second version of the proto’s cosmetics are visable you can see a bunch of early Mijjin mechs which have the standard hand paddles,they are most likely from the show “the Mijjins” considering you cam also see Mijjin Fatz’s mask being sculpted in that video,so that footage is from around 1991-92

Anyways Mr. Marvelous was installed in 1994,by that point the Mijjin mechs with hands had LONG since been discontinued

The Mijjinstor had been taken apart and from what I can find the Mijjin prototype wasn’t sold anywhere

So TLDR there might be a non 0 chance that the Mijjin prototype and Mr. Marvelous are the same bot!

Any thoughts?

Newly discovered photos from 1983 of the first Chuck E Cheese’s Pizza Time Theater that was on Winchester Blvd!

This was the first ever location and was at 307 S Winchester BLVD right in the Town and Country Village shopping center right in San Jose!The site today is where the crossway on the Plaza De Valencia is

These new photos confirm a lot of things that had been theorized about the location!Showing off for the first time their Cyberamic animatronics(for 20+ years we only has photos and videos of the prototype portrait bots that were there in the first few years)

It also shows their very nice 1981 remodel exterior ans some of their interior

The Warblettes are also on the wall!(It was unknown if they ever got them)

This is also the first photo we’ve ever gotten of their West side Pinball room which is space themed!

It’s also interesting to see some of the flags were replaced for some reason.Such as the original Italian flags being replaced with French ones🤷‍♂️
