Leopard 2 has gotta be the ugliest modern tank ever invented

It's 2026 and Germans are still building slabby lego block tanks that look like the Maus. I don't understand why Deutschland designed the Leopard 2, when the Leopard 1 outperforms it ingame. I love my Leopard 1 moving decoys that waste all my enemy's shots.

How did the French not win The Hundred Years War in a few years?

France was so much more powerful than England in the 1300s. How did they not seal the deal and win the war in a few years, instead of it taking a Hundred Years' War???

I just started reading the acclaimed history of the Hundred Years' War by John Gumption (first book: Trial By Fire - 1999). The war starts in 1337 and I am up to the year 1339 in the narrative. The situation for England looks hopeless. England has no navy, no money and can't even beat Scotland at Dunbar and the Firth of Forth, who are about to retake Edinburgh. King Edward is impotently leading a tiny army in the Low Countries that can only burn villages instead of fighting sieges or battles. France is rolling up Gascony almost unopposed and raiding the English coast willy-nilly (sacking Portsmouth and Southampton ffs). France is richer, more populous and the far more modern state (with excellent lawfare/lawyers that let them achieve countless bloodless victories).

With France wholly dominant in 1339, how the hell is this going to be a Hundred Years' War??? How did France not win in a few years, from the war's start in 1337?? King Edward should just surrender and pay homage to France. It's hopeless and I want to stop reading because this is so embarrassing for England.

I'm going to have to buy Europa Universalis 5 when it finally goes on 90% sale to simulate this.

Season 1 Video Showcase

  1. New tank "Leopard 2K ST": 007 James Bond tank with invisible powers like in the movie "Die Another Day."
  2. New tank "Leopard 2FK": with ATGM missiles. I don't understand why we need two Leopard 2s??? Leopard 2s are ugly blocky lego tanks that failed hard in Ukraine. Also, Germany got knocked out extremely early from the FIFA World Cup today.
  3. New map "Eden": desert map with greenhouses.
  4. Regular and Premium Battle Pass: finally a reason to spend money.
  5. Really cool new 3D tank skins with camo nets.

Those are the World of Tanks: HEAT Season 1 features from the video.

Why is Civ VII Deluxe ($159) more expensive than Settler's Edition normally ($140)? When Deluxe has less content.

If you look at the non-sale price (currently it is the Steam Summer Sale), Deluxe Edition is usually A$159.95 vs $140.45 for Settler's Edition. How come Deluxe Edition has less content but is more expensive than Settler's Edition???

Teleported to the real biblical hell?

Did I have a nightmare or was it real? I fell asleep then woke up in my childhood home. But the power was out, all the appliances were dead and it was pitch black. I shouted, "this is a nightmare, let me out!" I ran and jumped around trying to wake myself up , but nothing happened. I was stuck and only woke up back in the real world after what felt like 5 hours of real time had passed. That coincidentally was the same time I was asleep. So was it actually a nightmare or was I transported to an actual place - the afterlife and a version of hell?

It was so scary over there. After I couldn't wake myself up, I stopped jumping around and pinching myself and quieted down (out of breath). Then I huddled in my old childhood bed, listening to the creaking of the house, dripping taps and sighing of the wind around me for hours. Things kept bumping against the window and sending crazy shadows across the room. Eventually I drifted off to sleep and woke up back in the real world.

[KCD2] Nice Jester's patch this week, but when are they going to fix the floating sitting NPCs? (screenshot taken today, post-patch)

Another week, another pot of boiled meat (chicken)

For my health (weight loss diet) and ease of cooking, I boil a pot of meat for 30 minutes. This is the only active cooking I do per week, and the ration lasts me the entire duration. For example, see last week’s pot of boiled beef. (Oats, bread, frozen veges, fruit and Optislim strawberry meal replacement shakes pad out the rest of my intermittent fasting diet).

I took last week’s reddit thread recommendations and, in addition to meat and water, dropped in a bay leaf for flavor. Plus a can of beans for fiber – when it was only meat, it left me chronically constipated.

Prepping chicken has been my best idea so far. It is the cheapest and healthiest (leanest) meat, with no risk of gout. Hand-tearing the chicken breast into serving sizes, it awakened wistful memories of an experience I haven’t had since prom night – the way it felt soft yet firm, slippery and fluid between my fingers.

The drink with the beautiful buxom lady is some sort of coconut water (only 214kJ, so it’s not breaking my diet). I spied my crush drinking it while chinamaxxing, so I bought a pack to be close to her and experience what she’s experiencing. I can’t read the packaging, but will it make me prettier like the model?? I am told that Chinese countries like Malaysia and Singapore make curry using coconut milk. Swishing together the coconut drink and boiled chicken in my mouth as I ate dinner, it was just like I was in a fancy SEA Asian restaurant, being served by Gordon Ramsay, sharing a steamy Kari Ayam with my crush.

I regret youse guys’ recommendation to add a bay leaf for flavor, as it is very jagged and rough going down the old throat.

I unlocked the HSTV-L. What free tank are we getting next week?

Today is Day 1 of Week 5/5 of the weekly pass. Are there going to be rewards next week? Is there going to be a new season with an update and new maps and tanks released? Fingers crossed for T-14 Armata and Merkava tanks ridden by a kawaii female Korean operator, like D. Va from Overwatch, in a map based on London.

For a hero shooter to succeed with the public, they need cute female operators. Like Overwatch and Marvel Rivals.

Why is Ciara, the Irish poetess, so FAT?????? (Eivor's love interest in Wrath of the Druids DLC)

Valhalla's DLCs annoy me so much. Both have characters that constantly remind me I need to strictly stay on my diet, so I don't end up looking like them (Charles the Fat in Siege of Paris; Ciara, the Irish poetess, in Wrath of the Druids).

I play games for escapism. It sucks to be reminded while playing Assassins' Creed: Valhalla in the evenings why my dinner is a VLCD meal replacement shake, because I'm on a weight loss diet.

UK cheese and onion sandwich, inspired by British pubs

Home-made raw brown onion and cheese sandwich that I made with a side of canned baked beans. I made it because I was curious to understand why these sandwiches are served in UK pubs (like in the second picture - I keep seeing viral photos like this as to why British cuisine is the worst in the world).

It tasted remarkably fine. Like an In-N-Out burger or Burger King Whopper, which are very onion-forward. I'm going to recommend and serve this to all my vegetarian friends, who miss having burgers. The taste buds are so confused by the overpowering raw onion that it doesn't matter whether the savouriness comes from a flamegrilled beef patty or cheese - so it almost tastes like the cheese and onion sandwich has meat like a Burger King Whopper, at a fraction of the price.

Proust's diet: how did Proust stay so thin lying in bed all day and eating Madeleine cakes?

I am on a weight loss diet, and one of the recommendations was to occupy my mind with a really long book to distract myself from hunger pangs. I asked ChatGPT what the longest books were, and it said Proust. What really interested me, was that ChatGPT also said Proust spent 22 hours a day in bed and that's how he wrote his books!!!!

How did Proust stay so thin lying in bed all the time??? My weight loss diet has me in the gym all weekend; consuming only disgustingly chalky meal replacement shakes and counting my steps. So much suffering, and I haven't lost a single pound! Yet Proust gets to lie in bed all day writing about the Madeline cakes he's stuffing his face with, and look like a French K-Pop model???? Life is unfair!

Help it make sense???? I checked and he didn't have tuberculosis, so how did he stay so thin????

What was Proust's diet to stay rail thin without doing any exercise? Was he having lots of sex - that's how to burn off calories in bed??

Wikipedia is missing an article on the UK "Cheese and onion" sandwich

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cheese_sandwich currently reads:

>Popular British variants of the cheese sandwich include the cheese and pickle sandwich, the cheese and tomato sandwich, and the cheese and onion sandwich.^([6])^([7])

There are Wikipedia articles on https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cheese_and_pickle_sandwich and https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cheese_and_tomato_sandwich but not Cheese and onion sandwich. Should one be created?

I want to understand what this monstrosity is, as the cheese and onion sandwich (this image) is currently going viral on social media: https://x.com/largacty3/status/2065752550981210411
