Relocating to Dubuque area

Husband was relocated for his job, we are looking to buy. We would prefer to be outside of town, but not seeing much for options. What are the neighborhoods like? For context we’re both 30 no kids but a multi big dog household. TIA

Pregnant bleeding 5 weeks

Started spotting light pink this morning by afternoon it had switched to red and gained a bit more consistency. Very mild to no cramping happening. I reached out to OB’s office and received a callback from the triage nurse by this point they were less than an hour before closing. She advised I would have to wait until Monday and come in for a HCG test then go back Wednesday for the same and to see how they compare. (By the time I would have been able to get there they would have been closed). I had a MMC earlier this year so trying to stay optimistic. Has anyone else had something similar with a positive ending?

Multiple dog diarrhea

Puppy had diarrhea yesterday, gave her boiled rice and chicken her stool seemed to return to normal. Puppy acting completely normal the entire time still playful, full of energy, eating, etc. Today, my 2 year old Aussie had explosive diarrhea out of nowhere. So far no change in behavior as well. What could be causing this? We have two additional dogs (I know, 4 is the max) and neither of them have experienced anything similar. The other two are being kept away from the two in case of contagion. Any ideas? Have talked to the vet and they said if it doesn’t resolve in two days or symptoms get worse to come in. Just concerned about what is going through our home. Thanks in advance.

How hard is it to set tv dramas in college instead of high school? Why don’t they do this?

Every show with teens always has a bunch of drugs, sex, underage drinking, etc. How hard would it be for the creators to bump those ages up a bit? I get that teens do all of the above, but they over exaggerate to the max and honestly they’ve been doing this for decades. If movies/tvs didn’t constantly give the message “teens are supposed to be breaking the rules, drinking excessively etc” it truly might not be as bad as it is? Like half of my memories from high school in regards to the above was it was shown on tv so that’s obviously what everyone else is doing. I just don’t get it. Also, this originally started because I’ll see a show that looks like it could be good then realize it’s set with high school students and I get put off.

Markiplier

I keep checking to see if he has played scratch creek yet. He is the one that introduced me to the Fears To Fathom series. Can’t wait to see the commentary. Very happy the developers changed it up for this game, just wish we could have went more in depth with the story. Can’t wait to see what’s next.

AITAH for being annoyed with my husband’s friends’ wife?

Wife of friend added my husband on Snapchat. They are not friends on facebook, in real life, and have met only twice. I would understand if we had been around them consistently or even hung out recently, but that is not the case. Her husband is currently deployed. I wouldn’t have thought anything of it if it were a friend request, but Snapchat specifically seems like a different potential motive. I trust my husband 100% he even asked me if it was one of my friends before looking at her public profile on there and realizing who it was before deleting the request. I’m not angry or irritated with him. I just got the “ick” from it. I’ve also only met her twice and not in the context of his wife. She works at the hair salon I used to go to (she did not do my hair) and both interactions with her she was less than pleasant. Just feels like a disrespect (whether intended or not) to our marriage.

“He’s had the clap so many times, it’s more like applause”

I cannot stop rewatching this show and finding new bits I’ve missed. What’s some of the best underrated lines from the series?

Green poop

Going on day 3 of seeing the color of grass clippings after wiping. When should I be concerned? I’ve done a quick google and no leafy greens, don’t feel sick, the only thing I can think of is some blue food dye on cupcakes for the 4th. TYIA

Rewatching Archer thoughts

I wish they would have expanded on the spy agency more. I understand the creator got bored with that setting, but there are so many other angles they could have explored. Season 5, while different grew on me significantly and I feel like they could have even went different occupation per season instead of drifting into the coma seasons. Will continue to rewatch and has its moments after Season 7, just not as consistently. Oddly enough did not hate the last season as I felt like it was drifting close to how the original Archer was prior to the end.

HBO Max Terrible streaming

It glitches in and out, constantly freezes, and the image quality isn’t great compared to other streaming apps. How/why is their app so bad? Is it just mine or does anyone else have these issues? Tv up to date as well as the app itself. Just frustrating paying for something you can’t get through a full episode of (except once in a blue moon).

UPDATE: I have all the other streaming apps and have no issues with any of them. Everything is up to date and connection is great.

Midwest extended weekend getaway spots

Husband and I (both 30) wanting to do an extended vacation not too far from home in late July. This will also double as a “birthday trip” for myself. I’ve went to LOTO (Lake of the Ozarks) for the last 5 years, but wanting to change it up. Would be open to places in MO, WI, MN or possibly considering Lake Okoboji in IA however unsure if we will get bored after a day or two. We are both outdoorsy, but know I will want at least one day to just do touristy things in the area and visit local businesses. Any spots, ideas, recommendations, etc welcome and appreciated! Thanks in advance!

FTM here and unsure of how to proceed. I wiped on Tuesday and had some brown spotting - not enough to get on underwear and not consistent all day or anything like that. Did not have any on Wednesday. Thursday I had two wipes similar to that, and now today I’ve had one. I do not currently have a GP, and my first prenatal appointment is not until next Friday (soonest that was available and already having to travel an hour for that one). Should I be concerned? If so do I call them or try and find a GP or go to the Hospital? For more information I have no cramping or any other out of the ordinary symptoms. TYIA

No additional symptoms have had a streak once on Tuesday, a dot yesterday, and a streak today. Should I be worried/go to the Dr? Is not enough to get on underwear and is not continuous.

Additional Info: I do not have a GP, and my first prenatal appointment is not until next Friday.
