Gerard Butler as Leonidas in 300 is one of the most badass, hardcore performances ever

Rewatched this recently after so many years and it’s visually stunning.

But man… Gerard Butler is so badass and epic here!

Just how he commands the screen, motivates his army and delivers the one liners in epic fashion will never not give me goosebumps.

One of my favorite performances in an action flick and probably my favorite performance from him in general!

Darin Toonder as Harry the store clerk was hilarious

Rewatched this film and I can’t help but laugh at just how nonchalant he is.

The fact that he scolds Bear for being rude, gives him blunt answers but also messes with him makes him so memorable.

Love him in the show Paradise.

What’s your favorite film involving a cult or secret society?

What’s your favorite that film that explores cults, secret societies, or mysterious groups?

For me it’s hands down Stanley Kubrick’s Eyes Wide Shut (1999). One of the spookiest and most unsettling depictions of a cult I’ve ever seen!

The ritual sequence lives rent free in my head. The chanting, eerie music, unsettling masks, the red cloaked man threatening Cruise, etc.

Runner up would be Wicker Man (1973).

What’s your favorite?

One of the most chilling lines in Nolan’s filmography

The soundtrack, the jarring contrast of the vibrant background and Murphys haunting delivery make this scene unforgettable.

Everytime I rewatch this film, this scene gives me goosebumps.

Masterpiece all around but this particular moment? Incredible.

The Sacrament (2013) was so unnerving, what a wild ride

One of the most eeriest found footage flicks I’ve seen in a while!

The build up was so well done and Gene Jones as the father was a scene stealer.

Really love how they utilize the found footage here, I really felt isolated with the crew.

Finally watched it after hearing all the hype and I was genuinely creeped out! Solid FF flick.

Jesse Plemons is chilling in Civil War, steals the entire movie with a five minute role

Rewatched this gem recently and this scene never fails to put me on edge.

Plemons is absolutely incredible here. How his character is so casual when questioning the group about what kind of Americans are they is so unsettling.

After Bugonia, I’m exited to see what he’s gonna do next. One of the best actors working today.

Ted Levine deserved an Oscar nomination for Silence of the Lambs

Foster and Hopkins absolutely deserved their wins but it’s a bummer that Levine didn’t get a nomination for supporting actor.

His performance as Buffalo Bill was terrifying. His cadence, his ticks, everything about him just absolutely unsettled me.

A masterclass horror movie performance.

I want these two to work together again

It’s a shame that Pearce was blacklisted from working with Nolan.

Memento remains my favorite Nolan film and Pearce is aces in the role. Would love to see them reunite for a crime thriller or another historical epic.

Would’ve been perfect if he had a role in Oppenheimer.

Make it happen!

The Cyclops sequence in The Odyssey was so unnerving, I was legitimately on edge

The movie has a lot of eerie scenes but the cyclops sequence lives rent free in my head.

The screaming in the cave in my IMAX theater sounded like nothing I’ve heard before, it was insane.

I was genuinely unnerved it made my skin crawl. The sound barrier in my cinema was booming when >!they stabbed his eye.!<

By far one of the scariest scenes in the film. Nolan nailed the horror of it.

Just watched The Odyssey, Pattinson was a scene stealer

The movie was full of amazing performances. Major shoutouts to Morton, Patel, Leguizamo, and Remar.

But man Pattinson was such a scene stealer! So smarmy and conniving, I hated him every second he was on screen.

My man has solidified himself as one of the best working today and he’s proven himself again.

Amazing performance and amazing actor!

What’s your favorite movie dog?

For me it’s Sam in I am Legend (2007) all the way.

A G and a badass to the end. Her protecting Robert and fighting off the dogs never fails to give me chills.

What’s your favorite vampire movie?

Lost Boys (1987) for me.

Its stylish take on the vampire trope and blending of horror and comedy works so well. Also has one of my favorite Kiefer Sutherland performance.

For such a small budget, the cinematography is so good

Real talk, I love the camerawork in this film.

It’s got a very Hereditary feel to it, especially the bedroom sequence with the dim lighting.

So many movies made with high budget look cheap but this film makes the most of its budget. The aesthetic is spot on.

The Kingdom of Heaven (2005) is one of Scott’s best films

Straight up, the directors cut of this movie rocks.

It’s such an intriguing look at the crusades and medieval times. The cast for the most part is on their A game, especially Norton and Green.

This movie still holds up!

Do you like the car chase scene?

My buddy and I rewatched this film recently.

I personally think it’s one of the best live action car chase scenes ever made but my buddy thinks it’s problematic and very un-Batman.

He says that Bats dosent seem to care about casualties and that he causes alot of damage during the chase.

I replied that he was on the hunt to chase down Penguin so he dosent have time to mind the rules of the road. I also reminded him that Bale in Begins causes alot of damage, including driving over a cop car.

What do yall think?

The Count of Monte Cristo (2002) is one of the most epic revenge films

I’ve read the book many times and am aware as to how much the movie deviates from the source material.

But man this movie is so entertaining! Watched this so much back in the day, it’s crazy. I think I wore out the dvd, lol

The prison escape always used to get me so hyped and the way Edmund takes down his enemies is so satisfying.

The scenes with him and Richard Harris were always my favorite scenes.
