What’s your favorite use of music in a scene?
What’s a movie that uses the music in a scene so perfectly, you constantly go back to it?
For me it’s the scene in The Village (2004) where Lucius grabs Ivy’s hand and they head to the cellar.
The music by James Newton Howard gives me chills. The slow mo, the hand grab, the dim lighting around the creature, etc.
One of the most beautiful scenes in a M. Night film. I go back to this often.
What’s your favorite?
Which song has that drive at night vibe for you?
reddit.comWhich celebrity could you see yourself being friends with?
reddit.comThoughts on Under The Skin?
Rewatched this recently and it still holds up.
It’s got a very hypnotic and unsettling vibe to it. Feels very Kubrick esque at times and Scarlet is aces in the role.
The beach scene and void sequence are pure nightmare fuel.
Thoughts?
What’s a movie scene that makes you go, “I didn't care for the movie, but that was amazing”?
Whats a movie you consider meh or just plain bad but there’s that scene that you always remember?
For me it’s the airplane scene in Superman Returns. The visuals, the score, the tension, etc. everything is just spot on here.
What’s that movie scene for you?
I wish the series ended here
Seasons four and five have been so disappointing I wish that the show ended in season 3 with the boys taking down Homelander.
Would’ve been a perfect ending to season 3 and the show in general.
Rewrite the ending of season 3 where this battle takes place, conclude the character arcs of Noir, Maeve, and others by having them involved in the final battle and BOOM!
Perfect three seasons.
What’s a movie death that absolutely shocked you?
What’s a movie scene where a character dies unexpectedly and you’re caught off guard?
For me it’s the >!elevator scene in The Departed where DiCaprio gets shot.!< I was totally caught off guard and stunned into silence.
I literally shouted “WHAT?!?” When I first watched it.

Rank Edward Nortons Oscar Nominations
My personal ranking of his oscar nominated performances:
- American History X
- Primal Fear
- Birdman
- A Complete Unknown
What’s your ranking?
Peter Stormare in Constantine is AMAZING. What a performance.
Rewatched this gem recently and I cannot say enough about his performance.
My man is in here for a little over five minutes and steals the entire movie.
Such an unsettling, sinister portrayal of evil. His animosity towards Constantine, his mannerisms, his cadence, etc.
Just an incredible villain performance.
What’s your favorite Zombie movie?
Amongst a plethora of zombie flicks, what is that one movie that stands out you?
For me it’s 28 Days Later. It’s a perfect movie to me.
Cillian Murphy is fantastic, and the score by John Murphy is perfection. The humans being more monstrous in the end than the zombies themselves was horrifying.
What’s your favorite zombie movie?
What’s an older movie that has that A24 feel?
What’s a much older movie that has that A24 vibe to it and feels like something the studio would make back then?
For me it’s Possession. Has all the trademarks of a A24 film. Psychological horror, surreal imagery, unhinged disturbed performance, etc.
What’s that movie for you?
What’s the best and most detailed CGI you’ve ever seen on film where it looks too real?
For me it’s Davy Jones in Pirates of the Caribbean. The tentacle animation and texture on the skin is so spot on, it’s flawless.
What’s the best CGI you’ve ever seen?
I miss the old Kimiko. In seasons 1-3 she was a lot more terrifying.
Just terrifying and visceral. Like that silent team member who you feared but knew would get the job done.
What Noir was to the seven, Kimiko was to the boys.
28 days later remains one of the best zombie flicks, but it’s Cillians performance that stands out.
Him going berserk in the end to save his team lives rent free in my head.
The “in the house in a heartbeat” soundtrack and the dark aesthetic of the scene is just spot on.
Some of the best character development in a horror movie.
This man just keeps turning up with great performances and he’s now become one of my favorite actors!
Recently saw the drama and he was fantastic. Cant wait to see what he does next!
This movie really got to me.
It’s so creepy I legitimately was unnerved by it.
The whole vibe of “what’s wrong with this family” and the last few minutes are absolutely terrifying.
I’ve seen lots of FF films, but this one belongs in top five of most disturbing for me.
What’s that one movie scene that really gives you existential dread?
For me it’s the Joi hologram in Blade Runner 2049.
It’s so eerie because K realizes that there never was a real emotional connection.
The horror of realizing his most intimate moments were just an illusion is so unsettling.
