Don't get me wrong, I'm super grateful that Rogue has gotten balance adjustments every recent patch (Even if it is for the better or worse), but a constant theme that comes with a lot of these adjustments is that it is never enough, Rogue always gets the short end of the stick as she falls behind every new season due to new gameplay implementations, and so every new micro-buff for Rogue feels somewhat obsolete by the time it arrives, and let's not talk about season 9.0 changes that brought us back to square one and turned us objectively into the worst tank, not even a real tank, more like a glorified DPS with the health bar of a semi tank, if we are supposed to be a hybrid of a DPS and a tank then why don't we have the sustain and mobility for that? Devs just can't wrap their head around what is supposed to be Rogue's playstyle, right now she is the jack of all trades master of none, she's a glass cannon so she can't brawl, she can't dive because long cooldowns, she does amazing at peeling but people don't play Rogue to peel, so what's her true identity? Well, not even devs know, Rogue is kinda in a limbo and that's because they are still balancing around the Gambit team up, 8 months since she came out, almost a full year and they are still balancing around Gambit team up.

Gambit itself has always been a constant problem since he came out, has gotten a ton of nerfs and devs still can't figure out how to get him out of ban jail, so why even try balancing Rogue around Gambit if they still can't even balance Gambit properly? Rogue has always been underwhelming and the fact that they pair her with an overkill character like Gambit just sets her up for failure as her own functioning character. The problem with Gambit is that all of his abilities are centered around burst damage, his ult, his own explosive cards kit, the team ups he provides (Rogue's team up, the old Magneto-Gambit team up, Wolverine-Gambit, Cyclops-Gambit), so pairing Rogue with the burst damage potential of Gambit was never a good idea from the start because... 1. It is unbalanced, 2. Rogue has so much AOE damage that she could easily team wipe an entire team if given her old HP back with the Gambit team up before it got nerfed and the cooldowns reduction we have now, so I do see why devs are so careful with Rogue, but also... If it's causing so much struggle to balance her around Gambit that you're now sacrificing her own individuality then why not just get rid of the team up? The only reason she's always being chained up is because Gambit team up, and the solution to me is free Rogue from Gambit, remove their team up, not even rework the team up, remove it all completely because Gambit will always be OP and will indirectly hold us back

I really doubt we getting our full HP back, or that we get our Southern Brawl burst damage back, or that we get better adjustments on her absorb ability purely because the Gambit team up does all the heavy lifting for Rogue. It's cute that Rogue gets to have a team up with her canonical boyfriend/husband but it shouldn't come at the cost of taking away Rogue's individuality.

I been trying Gambit team up recently, I can get value with it in some matches, but I don't like the fact that I gotta play like a 200 HP DPS to get value, brother, Rogue is a tank, make her act like a tank.

Anyways, I was very pleased with the ending of this match more than so because I got to kill Phoniex who kept targeting me all match, it felt so satisfying lol #BuffRogue

I remember correctly listening through the entire dev stream for season 9 and they mentioned that they had to adjust certain characters because otherwise they would become much more oppressive, they also mentioned in the patch notes that Rogue was becoming too oppressive, I don't think they meant Rogue was becoming too opressive in season 8.5, I think they meant too opressive during their season 9 testing on Rogue, they loosely tried Rogue with the season 9 team ups and thought she was gonna be a problem if they left her like in season 8.5 state and added the team ups on top of it, but well... Fast forward to now they left us on crutches because they didn't take into accountability the increase of damage for the other characters, I really doubt they tested Rogue enough to make the judgment of how to properly balance her for this update, which is a shame because I was super excited to see what Rogue was going to be getting for these teams up, I knew she was getting nerf but I was feeling optimistic that the team ups were going to make up for the nerfs, and turns out they just nerfed us even more with the team ups smh.

So today I decided pick up Rogue once again, I happened to absorb a DPS and then I used a fully charged Southern brawl against an enemy, and since I had the damage boost I melted this person, it really got me thinking how good she felt last season:( we didn't need to make extra steps for some burst damage, we didn't need extra steps to have some decent health, it was just our base Southern Brawl and 675 HP against the world.

I don't get why is it that she doesn't get to have a mini nuke ability but Dr Strange can, the time frame for hitting the fully charged Southern Brawl wasn't even that big, so you had to be super precised with it, it's not like you could spam it, anyways, Rogue was the most fun I've ever had in season 8.5, I never heard any complaints about playing against her, so I really hope she makes a come back eventually.

No more sobbing from nerfs cause I found the hidden answer! Turns out all along we just needed to jiggle and then enemies come righ at ya!

Now, on a side note, this was my first game of the day and it was really funny how they all ignored the point cause of me😄

Not the flashiest play cause I barely use Dino but I just wanted to showcase these 2 together with their matching skins, I really love this skin since it was announce, I remember somewhere in reddit someone posted something about Dino wearing a Jeff-themed suit, I always knew that if they ever did Jeff pajama for Dino then it would be an instant buy for me, and so here it is and I was really happy to duo up with my friend for this.

Crazy enough we had couple of games where we actually did pretty good with Jeff ridding me the whole game lol
