after being committed to rescue rooms quiz for 3 years, it’s finally over and my friends and i are now looking for a new regular place

we’re all mid 20s to mid 30s but not particularly picky on age ranges
we’d rather pen and paper as opposed to phones and tablets
don’t care if it’s free or paid
don’t want anything specific for topic/genre i.e music, just after general knowledge, standard pub quiz recommendations
no preference for day but rescues was wednesday if that matters

i came across a post on another social media site (posted by a feminist page) highlighting a case wherein a woman was raped, recorded the assault, took it to the police and was turned away for “insufficient evidence”. she then took it upon herself to expose him online and try bring him to justice herself. a nobel yet terrifying act that she should never had had to do in the first place - had the police and justice system done their jobs properly.

the whole thing essentially went viral and out of fear for his “reputation” or whatever, the perpetrator turned himself in. mind you, he basically got away with it and avoided prison on some ridiculous sentence. “disappointed but not surprised”, springs to mind.

context aside, i was inspired by her being brave enough to speak out in a patriarchal world where there is no justice and no police nor law enforcement care enough to do anything themselves. i decided to search her up with the assumption she’d be posting content relating to this and likely advocating for women’s rights, real justice, etc.

to my disappointment, dismay and horror, i instead found nudity and onlyfans links plastered over her social media. i obviously didn’t follow her.

i’m disappointed and also sad. for her and for women everywhere. do i think men committing crimes against women should stop women from doing the job they want? no. but did i think that after such a high profile court case she’d pack up “sex work” and use her platform for good? well, yeah i’d kinda hoped.

i’m anti everything “sex work” as i assume everyone else here is. onlyfans, porn, prostitution, all of it. i don’t believe in the liberal feminism belief that it’s “empowering” or “a good choice” financially or any of that bollocks - to put it plainly.

victim blaming springs to mind as we all know the lesser gender loves doing that. and i know damn well most of these men in her comments, subscriptions and dms will either only follow her due to the case (seeing her as some weak victim or someone with a kink or some ridiculous shit like that) or will be using it to their advantage in their sick fantasies. i can’t imagine what her comment section looks like (i didn’t even bother opening it) never mind her private dms nor paid messages.

im just…. tired

i was around 7 years old when my granny taught me to spell *ahem* pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis. i’m 25 now and my question remains - whose idea was this? why on gods green earth does it need to be so long and who is it for when it’s commonly shortened to coniosis anyway? there’s a few more i can think of off the top of my head but curiosity is bettering me here
