These are my first-ever AirPods, the AirPods Pro 1. I got them for free from someone I know who just upgraded to the Pro 3.

I’m coming from Samsung, using a Samsung phone and previously having the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro. Unfortunately I had to stop using those because I left them in salt water for about an hour, and things got even worse when I tried repairing them myself. Until then, I’m using the AirPods Pro 1 and honestly I really like them.

Sound quality: It’s definitely a downgrade coming from a much newer generation but they’re still enjoyable to listen to. Surprisingly, they sound kind of nostalgic with songs from around 2019 which I actually really like.

Noise cancellation: WOW. It’s genuinely impressive. It gets surprisingly close to my 2024 Samsung earbuds which is crazy considering these came out in 2019. I can’t even imagine how good the Pro 2 and Pro 3 must be.

The only annoying issue is some static noise in the right earbud when ANC is on. It disappears completely with ANC turned off, but unfortunately there’s not much I can do about it.

They’re old but honestly they’re still great earbuds.

It's not a nostalgia thing or felling,just for me ps4 looks better than ps5 when it comes to the UI,also the themes are 👌🏽.

Just don't understand why ps5 doesn't have themes

TL;DR: My Buds3 Pro spent an hour in salt water. The earbuds mostly survived, but the case’s battery/BMS was damaged. We managed to get it working again, but after bypassing the protection, I wouldn’t consider the battery safe to use.

First of all, I want to make it clear that everything we did was at our own risk. I’m not trying to blame or criticize Samsung in any way. Honestly, I’m actually impressed that the earbuds survived what happened to them at all.

I was at the beach and completely forgot that I had my Buds3 Pro in my pocket. They’re so light that I genuinely didn’t notice them. I only realized about an hour later that they had been sitting in very salty seawater the entire time.

I obviously take full responsibility for this.

If something similar ever happens to you, there are several things you should NOT do — and unfortunately, I didn’t know any of this at the time.

1.Don’t leave salt-water-damaged electronics in direct sunlight.

The salt can dry/crystallize and cause even more corrosion and electrical problems.

2. If they were submerged in salt water, rinse them with fresh water as soon as possible.

The idea is to remove the salt before it dries and starts causing more damage.

3. Don’t power them on or charge them while they may still contain water.

4. Don’t try to speed up the drying process with things like a hair dryer.

I basically did none of these things, so I probably made the situation much worse. 💀

What happened to the earbuds?

Surprisingly, the earbuds themselves survived pretty well.

The left earbud works almost perfectly, like nothing ever happened.

The right earbud survived partially. It still works, but there seems to be salt or some kind of contamination inside/around the speaker. At low frequencies, especially bass, it sounds absolutely horrible — almost like the driver is physically vibrating/pulsing in a really aggressive way.

We wanted to open the right earbud to clean it properly, but we didn't have the proper B-7000 adhesive, and opening the earbuds is much more difficult than opening the charging case.

The charging case was a completely different story.

At first, the case seemed basically dead.

It could provide enough power to charge the earbuds, but the case itself wouldn't behave normally. The LED wouldn't turn on while charging and would only show the red light when opening the case.

There was also a weird issue where, for example, the case could show around 30% battery, but if we unplugged and plugged it back in, it would suddenly show 0%.

So we decided to open it.

And holy shit.

There was a LOT of salt inside. Some of it had apparently dissolved/crystallized around the contacts and pins, and several areas were heavily affected.

We carefully cleaned as much of it as possible and tried charging it again.

And suddenly... it worked.

The LED came back on, and the case started behaving normally.

The only problem was that initially it would only charge the right earbud.

We also wondered if this could somehow be related to the infamous Buds3 Pro charging/contact issues that some users have reported, because the pins appeared to make contact and had the correct voltage, yet the left earbud wouldn't charge.

We checked the voltage, cleaned the contacts, and everything looked almost identical to the working side.

Then, completely randomly, the left earbud suddenly turned on.

We put it in the case...

It started charging.

We were literally staring at each other like WTF. 😭

So apparently, at least in our case, it was some kind of intermittent contact/connection problem.

Then we investigated the battery.

This was the really interesting part.

The battery itself didn't look corroded or swollen at first, and the battery protection fuse appeared to be intact.

So we couldn't understand why the case would still behave as if the battery was completely dead.

According to my friend, the problem was likely somewhere around the battery contacts/protection circuitry. Apparently, the short caused enough damage to the connections/BMS that the battery was no longer properly connected to the rest of the system.

He eventually managed to bypass the damaged protection circuitry and connect the battery cell directly to the system.

After a LOT of attempts, we managed to get it working.

The battery was showing the correct voltage, the case charged, and — most importantly — the battery actually held a charge when disconnected from the charger.

However, this is NOT something I recommend anyone doing.

By bypassing the battery protection circuitry, the battery is no longer protected the way Samsung designed it to be.

And that's where this experiment stops being funny.

The battery was also slightly swollen after all the heat/experimentation, so I personally wouldn't consider it safe anymore.

If money wasn't an issue, I would have sent the case to Samsung or a qualified repair center instead of letting my friend experiment with it.

Please don't try to reproduce what we did.

A damaged lithium-ion cell without its proper protection circuitry can become a serious risk explosion. I wouldn't trust this battery enough to keep using it normally.

Honestly, considering what they went through, I'm impressed that the earbuds themselves survived at all.

Samsung definitely did a pretty damn good job with the water resistance — I just wish I hadn't tested it in the dumbest possible way. 💀

EDIT: Just to be clear, I'm not claiming the battery has a specific percentage chance of failing/exploding. The exact risk is impossible for us to determine after modifying the protection circuitry. I'm only saying that it's significantly less safe than a normal, properly protected battery

I mean how to do to look like these when you wanna play for people with camera on.

I think i have an idea but maybe you guys have a better idea,you need obs for obs virtual camera and when you add your camera on obs,you also add over the piano app that shows the notes(but you need to connect the piano to pc).

I have all of this but it is hard cause i don't know which app should i use for these fallen notes and you need to allign these notes perfectly to piano,which is something I'm still unsure about.

And possibly Max(Sadie Sink) cause she was already in new Spider man movie,but not confirmed yet for the Avengers movie.

Song name:The First I Love You from the Stranger Things Season 3 soundtrack.

I tried to recreate this piece on piano, but the hardest part wasn't learning it by ear,it was finding a sound that matched the original. The composers used very complex layered synths, which made it really difficult to recreate it as accurately as possible. And also,it would cost me so much money cause Fl studio isn't free.

So instead, I used an app called Piano Glow and combined two different piano sounds that I think come surprisingly close to the original and work really well together.

I can't tell whether my edit is actually on beat because DaVinci Resolve is lagging so badly that it's almost impossible to work on the project.

I'm also a beginner, and I made all the transitions and cuts by ear without knowing the BPM of the song, so maybe that's why some parts end up being slightly off beat.

This is my performance,made by ear and of course it is not perfect.

First of all, before anyone asks why the soundbar is sitting on the radiator: it's summer, the heating is turned off, so there was no risk of damaging it.

Second, I don't normally keep it there. I only moved it for a few hours to test it.

Now to the actual question: why does my sounbar sound louder in a much bigger room?

I moved it from my 13 m² bedroom to my kitchen area, which is around 30 m². I expected it to sound more spacious because of the extra space, but what surprised me is that it actually sounded louder too.

I only moved the soundbar and the subwoofer. I didn't move the rear speakers, and I know they normally make a noticeable difference.

Why would it sound louder in a room that's more than twice the size? I always thought a larger room would make it seem quieter.

I wanted to do an edit with the beauty of movies and games,let me know if i should change anything.
