Me and my partner both love Steven Universe, so we wanted to make some gem OCs. I would proceed with caution when doing research if you want to if you haven't watched the show since spoilers run rampant where new content hasn't been released since 2020. I originally wanted a picture of these OCs together, but I'm open to another option that I'll get into later.

My OC is going to based off a type of Sapphire called Color-Change Sapphire. In real life, CC Sapphires change depending on whether natural or artificial light passes through them. However, I imagine that would look rather boring on a character since it would just be a pallete swap, so instead, I wanted to have some parts made up of pinks and reds and other parts made up of blues and greens with purple in the leftover space. As for "clothing" (gems don't wear clothes in the human sense, every part of their appearance is a projection of light from the physical gemstone on their body), I was thinking just the male equivalent of what Sapphires wear in the show. I am an empathetic person, and empathy is represented in the show by placing the gem on the naval (aka the belly button) so that's where I want his gem to be. Sapphires don't use weapons in the show like gems such as Rubies and Quartzes, but they do have an ability called Future Vision, which is a very original and creative name for precognition. A "defective" Sapphire character called Padparadscha has retrorecognition, so I figured different Sapphire colors would result in different clairvoyant abilities. My OC, as such, is going to have Psychometry, which is the ability to read the history (and future, in his case) of an object or person by coming into contact with them.

My partner's OC is going to be based on Medusa Quartz, which is a variety of quartz that has jellyfish-like shapes inside its crystals and was named after the Medusa Jellyfish as a result. I wanted to put him (me and my partner are both boys, that's why these OCs are male) in some run of the mill gladiator armor, since Medusa - Greek Mythology - Greeks, you know what I mean, hopefully. A neat little thing I also would want him to have is small fangs and slit pupils, not snake hair though, I never really liked that, but I will be making up for it. I figured I'd give him a trident since Greek and he can shoot a paralyzing beam from his gem, which is placed on his right eye and I would imagine has a titlted square cut (ie the shape in the middle of the gem, for example, Amethyst's gem is a hexagonal cut).

I did also give their fusion a name (Blue Lace Agate) if anyone is interested in doing that in addition to or instead of the picture of them together.

I have to deal with my little brothers doing all of the following things all day, every day:

-Messing with/taking my stuff

-Chasing me around the house (they do sports and I'm on Reddit so you can guess who is more athletic).

-Throwing middle fingers and (more recently) swear words when my parents aren't around.

-One of them is also a racist, apparently, because he calls me a "black chinese boy" like it's an insult. It's the younger one. He also uses autistic as an insult knowing that I am indeed on the autistic spectrum.

-Also more recently, snooping around on my computer.

-Finally, more recentl

Parents are utterly and completely useless, because at best they get grounded but get ungrounded the same day. I have nowhere to hide my stuff. Under the bed is too obvious. No storage of any kind (oh yeah, we moved to a new house yesterday and some stuff is still at the old place).

My grandpa (who we moved in with) would probably get them to stop but I've heard he gets really scary when he's mad so that seems like a last resort. I don't really have anywhere to go since anywhere I can walk to, my little brothers can follow.

I have no door to my room, and it's barely even a room! it's just a section of a room with a curtain separating it.

I'm legitimately miserable because I have to mentally prepare myself to face them when I wake up. I really, really wish this is one of those engagement bait posts.

I plan to join the drama club this year since I was sick for both audition periods of my freshman year. I don't know my vocal range, but I can sing Waving Through a Window from Dear Evan Hansen without many issues.

I should also mention that I am male and (almost) 16 years old.

I just got Re1R, Re0, Re4, Re5, and Re6 for a total of $25 the other day and was wondering if there are some others I should ask for my upcoming birthday.

Right now, my wishlist is Code: Veronica, both Revelations games, and a game that isn't related to Resident Evil called Reanimal. These games total $130 dollars, so ideally I don't want to exceed $150.

Edit: I do also have Requiem on my wishlist, but I wanted to get it with a Switch 2 for extra Amiibo cosmetics. I also have the other RE Engine titles.

I was originally an Ana main, but I've grown closer to Reaper now. I didn't really like him at first because his teleport takes so long, but I like him more now.

Anyways, what other heroes would you recommend I try? I feel like flanking is the playstyle that suits me so ideally more flankers, but I am open to other DPS sub-roles.

I doubt they would go this far, but I think it would be really funny.

I also think it would be cool if they got professional VAs for characters like the Old Faith priests, The One Who Waits, characters that you will always encounter every playthrough.

This isn't me saying using a pre-existing trope is bad. As long as humanity remains creative, there's always gonna be a new way to do these kinds of things, and what I don't like is when movies use the most white bread version of those tropes.

Also, I am a minor with minimal writing experience. The only other rewrite I've done is for Stranger Things: Season 5, so if this ends up being not great, I won't be surprised.

The Rewrite

• For one, Billie is gonna be a boy. The original concept was a mother-son pair, and we really don't see much of those. We also don't see many male leads in these kinds of movies. I'm not gonna bother with a name change since I personally associate Billie with men.
• Billie, rather than being alt, is gonna essentially be the 'golden boy' of the high school. Perfect grades, on a sports team, really popular, etc. He works really hard to uphold his 'perfect' image, which leaves him exhausted day in, day out.
• At this point, Billie starts showing signs of magical abilities, but they end up being more chaotic than what was shown in the teaser trailer and almost seems to have a mind of its own. Not from lack of control, that's just how his magic is. We'll stick to the original plot for a little bit - magical chaos, resulting in a slightly more reluctant expulsion. Maybe throw in a scene where the principal says they "expected better" from Billie, and then we go home.
• Unlike canon Billie, who wanted to harness her magic, my Billie wants to suppress it. Instead of a Toby McGuire esque montage of him trying to get his magic to work, he instead starts trying to make his magic stop doing stuff he doesn't want it to do. In the process, he opens a portal to the magic world (Hexe is a terrible name but I can't think of a better one atm).
• Unlike the Halloween Town knockoff shown in the teaser, this world is orderly and neat. Magic is only being used for specific purposes and the government closely monitors every individual to ensure that it's only being used for those purposes. It's at this point that Billie's magic is revealed to be the kind of magic that they don't like (due the chaos it creates), wanting to kill him since they don't know how to remove it safely and couldn't be bothered to try. Naturally, Billie flees and is for once grateful that he has magic.
• Over the course of the movie, Billie comes to terms with his magic, which allows them to cooperate, shedding his perfect image to let himself be more authentically him. The magic world is free to use magic how its residents want and Billie is reinstated into the school, typical happy ending stuff, except he still struggles with his magic sometimes but it's far less wild than it used to be.

Couldn't Steven just say he was home schooled at the skating rink?

Edit: Two things now, but it is more of a nitpick. Sapphire calls her ability clairvoyance, but future vision is a form of precognition. Feel free to leave the nerd emojis here, by the way.

I recently joined a new group as someone who has been playing 2014 since 2022. We'll be using the starter set and I hope to play as either the Barbarian or the Fighter since I want to get into melee classes, as much as I like being a spellcaster.

I am aware of things like backgrounds giving ASI and everyone getting a subclass at Level 3, but I'm mainly focused on general changes since I'm willing to play any class.

I stopped playing around November-December and I want to start again. I don't know how much the meta has changed (not like Ana or Moira were really the meta, I don't think), but I still don't like tanking, no matter how nice extra health is.

I mainly played Ana and Moira, but I'm open to play DPS. I actually started out with Sombra and she was fun.

Edit: I do want some general advice, I should've made that clear.

I have no idea what it is about her, but she just provokes utter fear in me.

I wanted to get something for my boyfriend's birthday, and we both like Steven Universe, so I figured a picture of our self-sonas together and/or as a fusion would be a good gift. This is especially important to me because he might have cancer and left tonight to go get tested. He chose Onyx for himself, but he wanted me to decide what the character looks like and what abilities they have.

My OC is based on Labradorite. They have photokinesis (manipulation of light), illusions, the ability to turn into a labrador (as in, that's a form they have a particularly easy time getting into), and can summon a rapier. My partner once told me that I would be a bard so I wanted to include that general vibe in my character's design. I did add a flute image to the pinterest board I made for them, so you can include that if you want. I used to (and still kinda do) want to play flute, so that's where I'm getting it from. Their gemstone is on their chest and is a smooth oval, like Pearl's. Their build is also similar to Pearl's, being slim and dexterous.

My boyfriend's OC is based on Onyx. He has geokinesis (earth bending, basically), energy absorption/redirection (ie redirecting the force of a punch back at the attacker), invisibility, and can summon a bo staff. I would say that my boyfriend is a particularly spiritual person, being christian, so I wanted to include that in the design by giving him some monk clothing. My boyfriend also has long hair (for now, if the cancer test is positive and he gets chemo) so I also wanted to include that. His gemstone is on his forehead and is a kite shape, like Jasper's. He also has a similar build to Jasper.

As for a fusion, I don't mind if you make one alongside/instead of the one with our sonas together. You can decide basically everything about the fusion if you do make it.
