The poor SRs got war crimed by both sides of the civil war

For context, the Social Revolutionaries, a democratic socialist party in Russia, won the 1917 Constituent Assembly election before it was dissolved by Lenin's Bolsheviks. They were then persecuted as part of the Red Terror, which led to many joining the Whites. But as the war progressed, the anti-socialist Whites began to marginalize then purge the SRs.

Being in a great power's market is too cozy

I played some Vic 2 recently and one thing that immediately stuck out was how getting sphered by a great power immediately tanked my economy. I didn't suddenly get a massive influx of tools and steel and a new massive market to run up profits of my plantations on. Now how Vic 2 does that is wonky and convoluted cuz it's Vic 2 (basically your producers don't get any profit for goods sold to other countries in the market) but the result was a system that benefited the great power's economy at your expense.

Being in the sphere of influence of a Victorian great power was not a nice thing. I realize it would take a lot of rebalancing since great powers already have it easy but it's wild seeing the SOL of a small country outside Europe skyrocket upon joining a sphere.

Is playing singleplayer any fun?

I suck at PvP in any game and PvE doesn't sound that fun. Saw someone suggest a private solo server but wanted to see if theres anything to actually do.

What are the best zombie survival games not named Project Zomboid or 7 Days To Die?

Those two seem to be basically the only ones that get recommended. What are some of your favorites other than them?

Favorite paradox YouTubers?

Sorry for the 'chud' question or whatever the kids are saying but who do you watch when you're obsessing over these games?

Smithy is def my favorite. He does such a good job crafting a coherent story out of these big MP games and the players are so entertaining. He makes MP actually look fun.

The Earth's surface and everything on it is accelerating outwards at ~9.8 m/s^2. Gravity isn't a force and doesn't "pull" us down at the same time though, rather the curvature (or 'flow'?) of spacetime is what keeps us stationary while we accelerate. My question is: how the hell?

Ran out of space in the title but (assuming my understanding in the first two sentences was right) how does the curvature of spacetime actually work that it can 'cancel out' that acceleration to keep us relatively stationary? And how does that differ from there just being a downwards acceleration of 9.8 m/s^2? And do these questions even make sense or am I completely lost?

[E2Eu] I have 75 pumps with max speed upgrades and filters but heavy water is still my limiting factor in making D-T fuel. My fusion reactor has already shut down due to lack of fuel, anyone know how to keep up supply?

Skipped nuclearcraft and jumped straight into a mekanism fusion reactor but I don't know what I'm doing wrong here. My reactor shut down due to insufficient fuel supply so I added 25 more pumps but heavy water is still my issue (haven't shut down yet but my tank is draining). I've tried an injection rate of both 6 and 98.

[E2Eu] Why won't gases go into my mekanism dynamic tank?

I'm following the wiki and trying to store tritium in this dynamic tank but the gas tube won't connect. Can gases not be stored in dynamic tanks in this version?

[E2E] Does anyone know what this mechanical sound is? It plays at random volumes wherever I am

I installed extreme sound muffler but this sound doesn't show up

Certified deathcore haters, what are some deathcore bands/albums/songs you actually like?

Most deathcore has pretty mediocre riffs to me but Job For A Cowboy's first EP, Doom is actually so good

So what actually is a magic mod?

Are there any true magic mods? Is magic a category of mods itself or just an aesthetic? Does automation make something a tech mod? Is all mana just another name for energy?

[Environmental Tech] My void ore miner won't assemble despite having all the blocks

I used the assembler thing and it placed all the blocks correctly. All 24 structure frames were placed but it's still showing them in red. I've dug up and replaced all of them too.

Playing on E2Eu.

What are your favorite pipes (or other methods of item/fluid/energy transportation)? Excluding AE2 for variety's sake

I love Modern Industrialization's. Fast, powerful, and you can weave several through the same block.

Good progression packs for teaching me AE2?

I ran into a wall in E2E when I got to AE2 automation and realized it's way too hard to make enough components to really experiment since the recipes are way harder. Are there any good, less difficult progression packs that really make you use AE2?

I tried ATM 10 but got bored by the lack of any point to doing things. I've also played Cuboid Outpost but the infinite resources felt like it discouraged full automation.

TIL the famous "We can do it!" poster from WW2 was only displayed in one factory for 2 weeks during the war. It wasn't until the 80s that it was rediscovered and gained fame.

What are your favorite young metal bands?

If you need a definition for "young," how about their first album came out 2020 or later. But feel free to push that a bit.

Metal vocalists who you can actually understand?

Screaming/growling vocals only ofc.

My pick is Joe Duplantier of Gojira. He has really clear vocals, which is really important for the environmentalist lyrics he writes.

Apparently some people think the whole "Botania is a tech mod" thing is just a meme

The mod itself calls it a tech mod. And there's nothing wrong with that.

Meatballcraft tips/things I should know?

I'm early into chapter 2 (got an ME storage system in the void world and on T2 mystical crops) but it feels like things are about to ramp up. What are some things you wish you'd known earlier on?
