Need help remember something I read about regarding turtles.

My aunt has 3 res turtles that are being neglected though I thought about keeping one to give it a better life but I have a tiny room and have very limited space. Reddit users have told me that 50 gallons is too small for res but the rule of thumb is 10 gallons per inch of shell and they’re all 5 inches long even tho we had them for years. One of them is an older female we had for over 13 years and shes also like only barely 6 inches long in shell size.

I find that they’re small for their age and I think due to neglect, they are being affected by some condition I remember reading about it here yesterday but cant recall the name of the condition. It has something to do with improper lighting. I would like to do more research on this condition but in order for me to even adopt, ill have to understand rather or not they’re size are being affected or is 5 inches normal size for an adult female res turtle? Will they continue to grow in proper living conditions? Im doing research on places to help rehome them but my aunts son wants to keep one and would still like to share the info with him.

TLDR; Need help remembering the name of a condition that affects turtles growth due to improper lighting.

can I add any job on my resume as "experience" no matter how short they were?

Might be a dumb question but Ill ask anyways. If I worked retail for only 2 weeks and did two day training for this other job, can these 2 still be worth to add onto my resume?
Also, do I have to ask the bosses for permission to do so?

Some backstory for the sake of curiosity:

The "2 day training" part is a job that have yet to call me back to start. According to the workers there, that place has not hired people in a while and I was originally doing training there to start working at a different location so I doubt Ill actually work there but I still want to go down that field (cleaning job). The two weeks job was a retail job at a technology store. Lots of brain power with annoying customers. Still, these two are the only "real" jobs I had so far.

Did a 2 inch trim. Do I need to cut more?

feel like I cut so much off yet still looks dry. I did a 5 inch trim in the beginning of this year. Dont understand why its breaking so much. Heard rumors of the revalon blow dryer brush causing breakage. Can this be the reason?

Need help choosing what plants and aquarium setup looks best.

I cannot decide what looks better. Was going for a large heavy duty garage shelf but am worried it will look too bulky in my small room. Im attempting to make space for a study desk. So far, 2 people have told me B looks better. (B looks similar to my current set up, ill just be replacing the ugly table)

Is there anything els I can use besides a fish tank?

My aunt is giving away my grandmothers RES turtle. My grandmother is sad because she cant keep it due to lackbof space. I was thinking maybe I can take in my grandmothers bigass female RES turtle but I also have a small room. I was looking through 50 gallon fish tanks but I need one that is specifically 36 inches wide and preferred 15 inches in depth however that seems hard to find and expensive to custome. Is there anything els I can use besides a fish tank? Is there any 50 gallon anything under 36 inches wide? If not then ill have to pass on taking in the turtle.

Vitamin E oil or Jojoba oil?

I use vitamin e oil but It had took me 5 months to go from 16g to 14g lobes. Is jojoba oil more preferred when stretching or is this just my ears being stubborn?

would it be a good idea to put a 10 gallon on this table or should I just aim for plan b? (last photo)

I want some kind of gaming/study desk next to my fish tank to be able to interact with my fish but I have a tiny room. Would It be a good idea to place my fish tank on this table or should I just go with the last photo illustrated idea?

For plan A, I would be placing the fish tank on a back side of the table with a monitor on the other side (no pc, just console). However, reviews are saying only the metal structure is heavy duty and the top is like a regular table.
Buuut the metal structure does go around underneath the table top.

Plan B, would be getting a fish tank stand next to my desk however the tank will need to be placed sideways due to lack of room space.

I currently have the tank on a homemade wooden table. My grandpa had originally made it for the garage so it is not water proof and the legs are already slowly catching black rot due to mess I have made before 😅as well as heavy rain can sometimes cause water to leak through the floor.

is 1/2 inch of substrate enough for 3 amazon swords in a 10 gallon standard rectangular tank?

I would also like to add temple plant. If I need more substrate, should I get another bag of the same substrate or just aim for aquarium soil?

Out of curiosity, does anyone match their finch widget to their phone theme?

Thought it would be fun to see

Cat feeding schedule change advice~ Thinking of feeding my cat wet food 2x a day instead of 3x due to money.

Need some advice. I feed my cat a can of friskies a day and split the can into 3(breakfast,lunch,dinner) also free feed kibble (she prefers wet food and doesn't over eat kibble). Buuuuut we tend to be low on money. Will feeding my cat wet food only twice and replace lunch with kibble instead of free feeding a good idea?

Plant Reccomendation to crowd up the right side of my tank?

I have a 10 gallon with 3 amazon swords but still feel like the right is too bare. My whole tank only has amazon swords, java fern, anubias barteri and 2 lucky bamboos. Though, I will be doing a full rescape because I want to add fluval stratum so maybe it is not scaped well?

(There is no fish in there, the lid is just there)

escape babysitting sibling loop, how can I show up for myself?

To start off, I am 22 and am aware that I rely on my mother a lot. I was raised like this and it is something that I am currently working on. I have a sibling who is a decade younger and I am in charge of picking them up from school and looking after them while my mother is at work. Even in high school, I had to immediately pick up my sibling after school. I could not get a job after school but was also told that I couldn’t get a job during summer break because “who’s going to look after my sibling?”. After graduating high school is when I began to job search. I noticed it is really hard to find an early morning part time job that aligns with skills, experience, available public transportation routes and of course, close enough to be able to pick up my sibling on time. Im down to work any time for any amount of hours, no matter if it’s overnight or whatever, but I can’t due to my sibling. Some more info, I am a woman and my mother fears for my safety a-lot so I felt like in these years, she preferred me to stay home, she doesn’t pressure me into getting a job either so I feel as if I’m privileged. I have thought about just applying anywhere regardless of availability but idk if I’m being selfish to do so. I can also get into legal trouble by leaving a child alone if I decided to do whatever. Part of me also thinks “you are in your 20s and don’t do anything, the least you can do is continue babysitting and quit complaining”. I always hated babysitting and lack of employment is costing me mentally. I only get paid about $20 a week so I don’t consider that a job and obviously not enough to move out. I know this is common thing that happens when the older sibling becomes a babysitter, how did you get out of the loop? What do you think I should do? I am working on self improvement and feel as If I’m not doing enough for myself so advice about absolutely anything can help! Thank you
