Just wondering if anyone knows if there's a known link between blood clots and EOE?

Anyone else with EOE have a history of blood clots that didn't have an identifiable cause?

About two years ago, I went to the ER for tachycardia that wouldn't stop, and found out I was pretty riddled with blood clots (multiple bilateral pulmonary embolisms and a bunch of DVTs in one leg).

Despite testing, no cause was identified.

Fast forward to now, when I've just been diagnosed with fairly clinically advanced EOE with very high eosinophils, after worsening impaction and reflux.

I have read that Hypereosinophilia can cause blood clotting. EOE is not Hypereosinophilia (and tmk blood draw WBC levels will usually be normal with EOE) but there are obviously excessive localized eosinophils in the esophagus.

I guess I'm just wondering if I have found the cause of my clotting event, and am asking myself if I am now higher risk for reoccurrence 🤔

I have just found that the vantage points have an entire journal page connected to each one in addition to the short audio!! Oh my goodness, this is like my fifth or sixth play-through!

Thought I'd share in case anyone else thought they were only the audio recordings, as there's a lot more to Bashar Mati's story.

Does anyone know why the vantage points are out of order in the collectibles sets?

(As in why isn't Set 1=Days 1-4, Set 2=Days 5-8, and Set 3=Days 9-12, and instead the days are all jumbled in the sets in the Collectibles even though you can collect them in any order?)

It's kinda annoying, since it seems to me to detract from his story since the continuity is broken- unless there's a reason I haven't read yet?

I was thinking about 7d2d today and how unique the 7d2d zombie virus is.

(Just thinking of the basic zombies. not even considering the weirder variants)

It only reanimated people who were identical nonuplets (or more) who had the same occupation as their identical siblings.

It.triggered immediate and severe agoraphobia, in most of those infected, making them hide in ridiculous tiny spaces that a normal person wouldn't be in,

AND it vastly increased structural analytic skills allowing the infected to easily pinpoint the weakest points of a building.

Very unique!

Makes one wonder what they were actually trying to achieve when they [?accidentally] created the virus/zombies!

I live in WA, which has trans supportive laws. Which is ofc in the USA, which aymk federally is not at all trans tolerant.

My teen trans daughter would like to change her name and would like to legally change her gender, as well.

She will be graduating high school in the nearish future and I love for her to be able to start her adult life with her real identity.

I'm fully supportive of her being who she is, just concerned about *gestures around vaguely and sadly*

What's your opinion on the safety of that atm?

Would it be better to just legally change her name for now, and change gender once we have our country back and it's safer again?

Or would be harder to do separately later on, without changing her name at the same time?

If we change both, can we change the sex on her passport? (...current govt)

Or would she be stuck with her state ID and passport not matching? And if so, would that be problematic?

I have a chosen name (for non-gender reasons), and absolutely hate when I'm called my legal name or I have to use it used (cos I haven't been able to afford to change mine yet). But I'm cis, and I can only imagine how much worse it would be to have gender dysphoria and discrimination amplifying that, so I really want to help her lose her dead name as soon as possible.

Does a teen trans girl need to keep getting puberty blockers injections (Lupron) after she starts on E?

And if so, does she need to also keep getting the injections forever, or until what age?

Or are the Lupron injections no longer needed because taking Estrogen will adequately decrease testosterone amounts by itself?

I'm watching Love on the Spectrum for the first time (I'm at the start of season 3 now), and while I am really enjoying the positive, sweetness of the show, I'm blown away and rather frustrated with the absolutely terrible matches!

Do they not vet anyone and just pick the first person they find?

There seems to be no effort at all to actually find even slightly compatible matches.

They set up Dani ,who is extremely eager for a sexual relationship, with someone who is completely uncomfortable with any physical intimacy

They set Tanner, who is clear about wanting a talkative upbeat partner, with someone who only gives one word answers.

They set up young, innocent 18yo Journey with mature, experienced women in their twenties (this seriously felt creepy and made me uncomfortable...)

They set sweet, old-fashioned Steve up with an extremely forward woman making constant sexual advances and innuendos.

They set Madison, who converses and socialises very typically and is outgoing and adventurous, up with someone who isn't at all comfortable existing in public spaces or around people.

(EDIT: I have been corrected that Dani and Arad met through speed dating and were not set up by the show directly. Also that Journey's matches were only 1 and 2 years older than her. Apologies for my errors there)

I'm not casting any shade on any of those matches, they were all lovely people.

They were just completely and utterly wrong for the people on the show, even on the most basic of basic levels.

There is absolutely no way anyone could have thought they'd be suitable!

I can't help but think they must be deliberately sabotaging the dates with bad choices to drag things and keep the contestants single and to keep them dating me people on screen. Which seems particularly cruel to do to people with extra dating challenges, if that's the case :-(

Can anyone think of any gender-neutral existing terms for gf/bf that suit the young, innocent, not-living-together, teen relationship stage?

The non-binary trends I know tend to only suit more mature, committed relationships (imo) eg. partner, lover, life partner, other half.

I have heard more recently developed terms like goyfriend, datemate, and joyfriend, but those feel a bit awkward (to me) that aren't commonly understood in society at this time.

I know everyone is different and this is a personal choice, so there isn't one correct answer, I'm just looking for suggestions I may not have thought of yet.
