SCOTUS Just Struck Down Campaign Finance Restrictions , but will this influence YOUR vote?
So political campaigns can spend unlimited amounts of money to (try to) get their candidates elected. But, do 24/7 TV ads, etc. REALLY change anybody's mind one way or the other? A Republican could saturate my media market and I'd STILL choose to vote for a Democrat. Unless outright cheating is involved (e.g. Musk infiltrating voting processes somehow), are people really that gullible as to see a bunch of ads and go "Huh. That guy must be really good since he has so many ads."
