On Google Maps, business location details “located within” is incorrect.

The business has changed locations, and the new address was updated on Google Maps. However, there is a section on Google Maps that says it is “located in” the old building. Clients keep returning to the wrong building. I’ve submitted MULTIPLE edit suggestions from multiple other accounts to change this and there has been no update for months.

[Routine help] started a new simple routine, now struggling with closed comedones and texture.

Last year I was given winlevi, cabtreo, and vaniga (eflornithine hair reduction cream) by a dermatologist but stopped because I found the winlevi was extremely thick, the yaniga was drying like glue, and I wasn't very consistent anyway. I don't think my skin particularly looked better and it was still quite red. I asked about the redness and she said it's normal for acne but I think this redness is something else like rosacea. I want to keep my routine minimal and started focusing on just having a healthy barrier, but oh my gosh my skin texture has never looked rougher. It looks even bumpier in the bathroom mirror and the camera doesn't pick up the awful texture.

My routine right now:
AM just rinse with water and put Nivea luminous630 eye cream around my eyes for hyperpigmentation

PM
Round Lab Dokdo Cleansing water ONLY if wearing makeup
Anua 8 Hyaluronic Acid Gentle Gel cleanser. Will occasionally use ketoconazole shampoo instead because of concerns of seborrheic dermatitis around my nose and eyebrows.
Petersons Lab DS Calming Regulation for Oily Sensitive moisturizer
The same Nivea eye cream

I can post the ingredients for these if anyone wants.

My skin type is combination. My skin is also sensitive and so that's why I wanted to strip it back.
I have a history of eczema, some burning and itching on my face though I don't have an eczema flare up on my face right now. I do have PCOS/PMOS so it could contribute to the oil production. Should I add a barrier supporting product? A toner or serum? I have The Ordinary AHA BHA peel, should I implement that once a week? I have an azelaic acid 15% serum I haven't started using yet. I first wanted to get an idea if the cleanser and moisturizer were good for me, but I'm not sure. I've never had texture this pronounced before. Should I just continue with the cleanser and moisturizer? Could the pH of the cleanser not be right? I couldn’t find it posted anywhere. I thought since it’s summer and humid right now a higher pH isn’t a big deal. The cleanser doesn’t really feel stripping.

What should I do about my skin?

So I posted a while ago asking about how to introduce stuff slowly into a routine to avoid irritation. My products arrived and I’ve started my new skincare routine very slowly, implementing only a micellar water (when I wear makeup), a cleanser, and a moisturizer. I use an eye cream too but that’s been fine (I think). I think it’s been 1-2 weeks of this.

First two pictures are with front camera and the last is the back camera. My skin has this GODAWFUL texture that the camera isn’t picking up, but when I touch my face it actually feels decently smooth? I’m not sure if my barrier is truly impaired, but I do get the occasional itchiness and some burning in my upper lip and nasolabial folds.

Routine:
AM rinse face only with water

PM
Round Lab Dokdo Cleasning Water (only sometimes)
Anua 8 Hyaluronic Acid Moisturizing Gentle Gel Cleanser
Petersons Lab DS Calming Regulation for Oily Sensitive

I can post the ingredients list of any of these if anyone wants.

Also washed my face with ketoconazole shampoo yesterday, because of concerns of seborrheic dermatitis due to flaking eyebrows and redness and flaking in corners of nose. I add extra of my moisturizer around my eyebrows and nose corners because it has piroctone olamine in it which should be an antifungal.

My skin doesn’t feel tight or dry after washing, but I don’t know if the pH of the cleanser is too high? I couldn’t find it posted anywhere. It’s pretty hot and humid right now anyway so I didn’t think it’s an issue? I’m not sure if the moisturizer is too light? I have combination skin and it’s like a gel-cream maybe. The texture is not thick but not like a clear gel. I also bought an azelaic acid 15% serum but have not started using it yet. Do I need to wait this out? Add a barrier repair toner or serum? Do I need to introduce exfoliation? I have The Ordinary AHA BHA peel I can implement once a week. Or do I need a retinoid like adapalene? I was prescribed winlevi + cabtreo last year but stopped using it (wasn’t really consistent) as I felt the winlevi was really thick. So many possibilities and I don’t know what to do 🥲

Anyone else with low density wavy hair?

Does anyone else have very low density wavy hair? I struggle so much with my hair type. Everything you see in the photo is about 1/3-1/2 the amount of hair I have on my head. I have been losing hair for many years due to PCOS/PMOS. I just recently started finasteride and I am shedding even more right now.

I went to a curly hair stylist and right now my routine for styling it wavy per her advice is to use AG care re:coil curl activator on wet hair after I shampoo and condition, and then style it with a bounce curl brush dupe. I don’t use any mousse or gel because I find too many products weighs my hair down if I want to style it wavy. The hairstylist told me just the AG care re:coil is enough to hold for 2-3 days, which is what I am looking for anyway because I wash my hair roughly every 2-3 days. I wish my entire head could form nice clumps like that one clump you see hiding under my hair, but unfortunately most of it is stringy like you see in the picture. She did cut long layers in my hair which I am wondering if that is the problem? I do still like to straighten and blow out my hair so I asked for a “versatile” cut which is supposed to look good when styled either wavy or straight. The hairs at the top and front of my head barely form a wave at all. Does anyone have advice?

Frames for a -7 prescription?

I’m really struggling to find frames because what’s trendy right now is just HUGE wire frame glasses. I tried on a pair in store and stupidly decided on those a few years ago and it shrinks my eyes and everything around it ridiculously.

My prescription is -7.00 -1.75 x 160 for the right eye & -7.00 -2.00 x 015 for the left eye.

I dislike small round circular frames. Just looked awful on me, and honestly look awful in general. Right now I’m on the hunt for glasses with lens width under 50, bridge width around 16-17 (I have a narrow nose bridge and a wide nose tip), and temples 140-145. Tried on kids glasses and they fit me okay but the temples are too short. Right now I also have ray bans size 49-21-140 which i prefer to my huge wire frame ones, but they’re not great and still shrink too much of the space around my eye. I’m thinking oval is probably my best bet, and something with longer part that connects to the hinge/temple rather than the lens width reaching all the way to the temple. I don’t want the top of the glasses touching or covering my eyebrows but I still want the glasses to sit close enough to face. I couldn’t tell you my face shape or width as I have no idea. Opticians here also refuse to measure PD unless specifically buying frames with them. Might need to buy online but imagine that would be very difficult as I can’t see how the frames fit on my face. I found Jean Paul Gaultier 57-0008 online as they have a fit of 48-15-140 but of course all used. Any suggestions?

Eyelid asymmetry — told it’s not ptosis

Optometrist told me it’s not actually ptosis because the bottom of my upper eyelids are level. However, this is very noticeable for me, especially in back camera photos. I want the eyelid of the left eye to match the eyelid of the right eye, as in decrease the upper eyelid exposure and make it more hooded. If ptosis correction surgery isn’t the right move, then what is? Blepharoplasties reduce hooding to increase upper eyelid exposure, which I’m not looking for.

How can I start an entirely new skincare routine without irritation?

Basically the title. I bought new everything. I never really had a consistent skincare routine and never had tried and true products. Could literally never tell when a product worked for me or not, so I'd just use whenever. Was never really happy with my skin and never ever found products that were compatible w my skin.

I thought a new cleanser, micellar water, moisturizer, sunscreens, and facial serum. I don't even wash my face consistently right now and I certainly don't use a moisturizer. I KNOW I can only introduce one product at a time, BUT if I introduce just a cleanser and nothing more for a few weeks, wouldn't my skin be too stripped? If I introduce a cleanser and moisturizer at the same time, and one irritates me, how can I even trace which? My skin is combination, acne prone, and decently sensitive.

Started finasteride, having cramps?

I haven’t tracked how long I’ve been on finasteride now but I think it’s been 2-3 weeks that I’ve been taking 2.5mg (half a pill of 5mg). Usually 1-2 days before my period I’ll experience uterine cramping, but I’ve been having some uterine discomfort for a few days now? My period isn’t supposed to come for 3 days, so idk if I’ll experience a week of cramps before my period? Should I just keep taking the pills and see if it regulates itself? Anyone else experience this?

[Product question] Has anyone tried the Theramid Even In serum?

I’m looking at it to treat long standing body hyperpigmentation in my underarms, elbows, and inner elbows. Intriguing because it has tranexamic acid, kojic acid, alpha arbutin, two types of resorcinol, licorice root extract, acetyl glucosamine, and potassium azeloyl dicglycinate, so it attacks multiple pigment pathways. If not, does anyone have any other suggestions for hyperpigmentation on the body? Thanks

Any STRONG hyperpigmentation products?

I’m looking for something for my long standing body hyperpigmentation, specifically underarms, elbows, and inner elbows. I know to target hyperpigmentation you need to attack it with both exfoliation/increased cell turnover and tyrosinase inhibitors. Right now I already have stuff for the exfoliation and cell turnover part. Hydroquinone 4% isn’t accessible to me right now. I’m looking for products with multiple actives, like tranexamic acid, kojic acid, arbutin, resorcinol, licorice root extract all in one, and preferably fragrance free.

Cats don’t get along and one of them eliminates inappropriately.

Please read!!! I know it’s a lot

So my cats grew up together since kittens. One male cat (Teddy) one female cat (Yoshi). Now they're both five years old. They got along very well until I'm not sure how long ago. I've been dealing with inappropriate urination and defecation from the male cat for basically two years now. Taken to multiple vets and they say it's a behavioural issue.

I have caught the male cat urinating and defecating on several occasions. It is ONLY the male cat. There is only one time the female cat peed outside of the litter box (which is only because she aimed her rear too high up, she was sitting inside the litter box). We are not sure what happened to cause this chain of inappropriate elimination. It started with peeing on the couch. Then, he would aim for items placed on the floor to pee on, such as his old cat bed which we had to dispose of because of urine and feces on it, or a pillow on the floor, or a reusable grocery bag, or a towel. All urinated on. Recently he has also been defecating on a carpet. The most recent incident was he peed in a cardboard box that was next to his litter box, rather than in the litter box. The litter box was actually cleanly scooped with no urine or feces in it, so why did he choose a cardboard box next to it?

We have already tried moving litter boxes around, buying another litter box, moving his food bowl around, buying an extra water fountain, using feliway pheromone diffusers, and trialing gabapentin. We already use large, low sides, open top litter boxes with Dr Elseys cat attract clumping clay litter. There shouldn't be issues with the texture of the litter as it's already soft.

The male cat seems to have anxiety. He's quite skittish.
He tore a hole in the couch he urinates on and would hide in that most of the day, or he had a kids toy chair he would sleep on most of the day, not coming off of it. Both the couch and the toy chair are in the basement, where he spends almost all of his time. He would sometimes approach, and then as someone approached him, he would run away. He usually only approaches when hungry, and will guide me to the food bowl. He also hisses when hungry (not sure why. When I would put him food, he would then run away and I would have to pick him up and place him in front of his food.

I just recently realized that my female cat might display some anxiety related symptoms due to the male cat, however she does not urinate or defecate outside the litter box. She has two bald patches on her front arms, either from allergies or possible excessive over grooming due to discomfort with Teddy. She seems to be dominant over him.

My two cats CAN get along. I have videos of them sitting near each other calmly, or even play fighting with each other. However, sometimes Teddy approaches Yoshi wanting to play, or he corners her, which causes her to hiss, growl, and swat at him. Teddy does not understand that she does not want to be played with. I notice after these altercations is when he acts out and urinates outside of the box.

We currently have Teddy isolated in a room with his food, a litter box, and his toy chair. So far he only urinates in the box when confined in the room, BUT sometimes he will poop next to the litter box STILL.

We take him out to play daily, but away from Yoshi. I have noticed Yoshi is very content when he is confined in a room, as if she does not want to be around him. If we gave him to a shelter, he'd just be locked in a cage all day, but I am fed up with this.

When I take him to another room for play time and we close the door, the female cat paws at the door to be let in. I sometimes let her in so they can still have time together. They can decently tolerate being in the same room, but Teddy wants to play with her and will pounce at her. When he pounces, Yoshi immediately growls or hisses. She is completely uninterested in playing with him, even though she repeatedly meows at the door to come in. When they are in a room together, sometimes Yoshi actually growls, hisses, and swats at Teddy to take away a toy he is playing with, even when he didn't even approach her!! However, Teddy will also go and steal a bag that Yoshi was sitting on. Typically Yoshi is dominant and Teddy is anxious, but they bully each other back and forth. Also, Yoshi KNOWS he is in the room, as I crack the door open so they can sniff each other from between the crack of the door, so it's not like she walks in and there's an unexpected guest in there!

One more thing, when the male cat is out, he repeatedly goes to sniff spots he has urinated on previously. We have to monitor him when he is out to make sure he doesn't eliminate inappropriately.
I know this is a long read but I'm so desperate for help.

Any good sleep doctor in the GTA/Toronto?

I asked this in the new sub too but posting here in case anyone else sees. Any who are familiar with UARS, who measures RERAs, reports RDI and uses the 1A rule?

Any recommendations for a sleep doctor and good sleep clinic in the GTA/Toronto area?

One that measures RERAs and is knowledgeable not just in sleep apnea but in UARS too? All the sleep clinics I see have terrible reviews and don’t really see people on this sub mention anything positive about any doctor near Toronto…

Resources for the GTA/Ontario??

I’m tired of the gaslighting. They acknowledge I had compensation orthodontics and have a recessed lower jaw and still have an overbite, but refuse to do anything for me. Anyone know of someone who does adult palatal expansion (not de Souza I’ve read enough bad things about him)? Told by two surgeons even if I have sleep apnea don’t jump to surgery and don’t believe everything online. What the fuck?? My sleeping is terrible and I drool puddles. Told to use muscle relaxants for my facial pain but they make sleep apnea worse.

The first one is the arm of a couch we’ve had for around three years. Clearly we’re not at keeping things clean. I have no idea if it’s real or fake suede. I already blotted the big brown mystery spot with white vinegar but it didn’t work. Do I just use the bissell wet vacuum on this? I’m assuming it’s a mixture of food and body oil.

As for the second one, is it even salvageable? It’s ten years old and I’m sure that’s just built up body oil grime. No idea how I’d clean that.

I had a consultation with one maxillofacial surgeon so far. Honestly, I started this journey mostly concerned with my aesthetics. However, when speaking to dentists, orthodontists, and the maxillofacial surgeon, I was bringing up the health issues I was concerned with rather than focusing on the aesthetic aspect so they’d take me more seriously.

From the side, my nose is overprotected and my chin is slightly set back (I’ve definitely seen worse). My jaw appears to be very short and I can see my chin slopes upward. In the first photo (not sure why the x ray tech made me look up), the ramus appears long, yet tilted back, resulting in the a gonial angle, a pattern commonly found in babies, the elderly, and those with tooth loss. I have all my teeth, including all my wisdoms, but my teeth are short.

From the front, my midface is the longest third. I have a long philtrum, a flat jaw frontal angle, and my lips just look awkward, whether it’s the lower lip getting caught under the top, or my lips not closing when I smile resulting in an awkward smile.

With my dentist, I originally brought up my jaw canting and my right TMJ joint clicking as my main concern. He then suggested surgery. I was referred to an orthodontist (not the one who originally did my orthodontic work years ago), who then referred me to the one maxillofacial surgeon I saw.

Upon seeing this surgeon, I expressed all my concerns. Jaw cant, TMJ clicking, jaw pain, small and short jaw, poor sleep quality, and trouble breathing through my nose. He told me my jaw pain must mostly be due to stress and somehow hinted I’m mentally ill but whatever. I continued on, he took measurements of my face, felt around inside my mouth. He said my jaw cant was not a reason to perform surgery, as (I’m trying to remember correctly) my eyes and jaw are tilted in different ways, and if he lined it up, my whole head would look wonky. He told me my jaw pain was muscular and not due to the joints. One thing I’m confused about is that I always hear clicking in my right joint, but he told me he feels the click in my left joint. He said the only way we would continue with surgery would be if I have a sleep study that proves I have sleep apnea. He also tested my nose by dragging the cheeks next to my nose/under my eyes on each side of the nostril to see if my breathing improved, which it did particularly on one side. I do have an obviously crooked nose after all. I did say that I’ve been to two ENT’s, one who said I have a deviated septum and one who said I did not. He said the only way I would get surgery was if I had a sleep study done and was proven to have sleep apnea, so he referred me to a sleep doctor/ENT. I have not yet heard back from the sleep doctor. He also referred me to a physiotherapist specializing in facial pain. I also asked about a CBCT scan which he said was not necessary at the moment.

In the referral to the physiotherapist I noticed he wrote:
She has a compensated Class II skeletal
relationship and at this time we are not suggesting any orthodontic or surgical treatments, rather focusing on
improving her pain and assessing her potential sleep disordered breathing.

So it turns out, compensation orthodontics were performed on me years ago, and I feel that my jaw is suffering. As a second opinion I saw the original orthodontist and she just kept patting herself on the back for the work she did. I kept pestering and she reluctantly did give a referral to a maxillofacial surgeon as well, with an appointment in June.

Basically, with everything considered, I want to know what to expect, what I should be looking for, and how to go about this going forward. I don’t want to continue being told my bite is fine while my facial aesthetics and health suffer. How should I be speaking to orthodontists and surgeons? Should I just ask my family doctor for a surgeon referral instead? Is my case even worth going after or should I leave it alone? Edit: I forgot to mention the surgeon said I would need extractions before the surgery?? I was concerned when he said this. What could be the reason? Why can’t I do expansion?
