Looking for a Game to Grind

Looking for a new game to grind that scratches the same itch as Warframe and Once Human.

I’m looking for a new game to really sink my time into, but I’m not entirely sure what genre I’m looking for.

What keeps me coming back to Warframe is the satisfying loot, slashing through hordes of enemies, and the amazing graphics and cinematics. With Once Human, I loved how beautiful the world was, exploring different areas, looting buildings like hospitals, and constantly finding stuff along the way. I guess I just love games that make exploration and looting feel rewarding while also being visually immersive, if that makes sense.

I’ve been considering ESO since it looks like a lot of fun, but I’m open to anything. Bonus points if the game has seasonal holiday events or regular events to keep things fresh!

I’ve also been playing Marathon and ARC Raiders lately, and I do enjoy the looting, exploring buildings, and fighting enemies, but neither has really given me that urge to log in and grind every day. I love the feeling of searching an area, finding good loot, and getting into fights with the PVE Enemies, but maybe extraction shooters just aren’t quite my thing? I think I’m looking for something that offers those same satisfying moments but with more progression, exploration, and reasons to keep coming back.

Some games I’ve played are Warframe, Once Human, Borderlands, Destiny 2, and Guild Wars 2.

What games would you recommend? I’m looking for something with satisfying combat, rewarding loot, exploration, and a world that makes you want to keep coming back because it’s just so damn good!

Outer Worlds 1 Worth it?

Okay so i've never really played many story games in general, i've always been a Shooter Looter/FPS Genre type of guy and have never really expanded my variety aside from a few MMO's. With the current Autumn Sale on Steam i'm looking to pick up a few games that catch my attention and this is one of them along with Grounded 2. Is the game hard to get into? Or will it grab your attention right off the bat?

is Slime Rancher worth it?

I’ve always loved the visuals of Slime Rancher and even more of Slime Rancher 2 and I’ve heard really good things about both games, so I’m tempted to finally give them a shot while they’re on sale.

The thing is, I pretty much never play games in this genre. I mainly play FPS/looter shooters like Destiny, Warframe, Marathon, etc., so I’m wondering if Slime Rancher is something I could still get really into or if I’d end up dropping it pretty quickly.

For anyone who’s played them, would you recommend getting both, or should I start with the first one and see how I like it? (it’s currently like $20 for both games)

Looking for Games with Holiday Events

I love games that do special events but especially when they do Holiday Events like Halloween, Christmas, etc. What games have cool events like that with a fun grind? I know Warframe is one of them and also Fallout 76.

All seriousness i’ve been loving this game, got it about 2 weeks ago or so! Bummed about the Update Delay but excited to try out Vault Breakers next month

What Extraction Shooter is Really good?

So my main game has been Marathon and still is but with the delay in the update until December i obviously want to have something else to play during that time so i don’t just get burnt out of playing the same content even longer since there really won’t be anything new until the Huge Update in December. What is another Extraction Shooter i would LOVE? The thing i love about Marathon is the visuals, guns, gameplay, honestly just the entire environment/theme of the game. And also how satisfying the progression is, i never played any Extraction Shooter until Marathon and im in love with the genre or at least i think i am😂It scratches my itch of playing a Looter Shooter but also sort of better in a way? Anywho whats a second extraction shooter i can also play aside from Marathon? PvP or PVE doesn’t matter, i love both.

Is it difficult to learn Sticks?

I know people say Splatoon is so much better with Motion Controls but i genuinely cannot learn how to play like that no matter how hard i try. Will the game still be enjoyable even if i play regularly on a pro controller on sticks?

Tips for a New/Returning Player?

I bought this game a few years ago when it launched and i loved the visuals, gun gameplay, etc. but i never really got into it because i always got my Salmon handed to me😭and if i start playing now i know im definitely getting destroyed even more than back then, so what do you guys recommend for someone that’s barely hopping into Splatoon 3? because realistically im new to the game since i barely put an hour or two into it back then.

Future of Splatoon Raiders?

i’m definitely gonna buy the game soon because it looks so damn good, but I’m wondering what the endgame is like. Are there any plans for future updates/DLC/new content, or is the game as it is now basically what we’re getting?

I really wanna stick with this game for a while, so just curious to see if you guys think Nintendo has any plans to expand the game at some point? Also what have you guys been doing after essentially beating the entire game?

Docked or Handheld?

I’ve been planning to finally start using my Switch 2 again after having it collect dust ever since launch lol, mainly just because all of the games i play i’d rather just play on PC but i definitely want to start using my Switch 2 a lot more and giving it the love it deserves and the first game i think will make me fall in love with my Switch is Splatoon Raiders, but should i play it docked or handheld? and with a Pro Controller?

Best Games on Switch 2?

I mainly play on PC, so I honestly haven’t put much time into my Switch 2 since I can play most games on my PC. I’ve heard Splatoon Raiders is really good though, and I LOVE games with a grind/farming for loot, working toward goals, unlocking stuff, etc.

So what are the best Switch 2 games that I can’t really get on PC, or are just insanely good on Switch 2? Looking for a game (or a few) that’ll finally make me actually use the damn thing 😂 Don’t get me wrong, i LOVE my Switch 2 but i just have nothing to play on it.

Is Splatoon Raiders worth getting?

Is Splatoon Raiders worth getting?
I have a Switch 2 and have always been a huge Nintendo fan, but I’ve mainly been gaming on PC the past few years. I still use my Switch here and there, but I haven’t found a game that really makes me want to turn it on and keep coming back.

I’ve heard Splatoon Raiders is really good, and I’m wondering if it could be that game for me. I only played Splatoon 3 for a few hours, so I’m pretty new to the series.

I love games with a good grind, farming items, unlocking stuff, upgrading things, having goals to work toward, etc.

For those who’ve played it, does Raiders have that kind of addictive progression loop? Is it worth picking up if I’m looking for something to get me hooked on my Switch again?

Is the game still worth it?

Hey all, so the last time i played Splatoon 3 was probably during launch and that was only for maybe 2 hours or less and then i just never touched it again. I’ve been thinking about playing it again just so i can have something to play on my Switch 2, i mainly play PC but i miss sitting back and playing my Switch 2. Is the game chill at all? Or should i get Splatoon Raiders?

My First Exfill!

This is my 2nd game so far and the Gameplay is insanely good, i can’t believe how underrated this game is! The visuals are just incredible, i love everything about it so far and had some people carry me and get me my first exfill literally my 2nd game of Marathon!

Marathon or Arc Raiders?

As the title says i’m debating between getting either Arc Raiders or Marathon, i’ve never played an Extraction Shooter but they look pretty fun tbh. I just don’t know which one to go with, i love the maps, guns, and overall gameplay of Marathon but Arc Raiders looks slightly more casual/friendly. Throughout the week i usually play for 3-5+ Hours, sometimes less, sometimes more and during the weekend it’s longer if that matters at all. Which game would i enjoy more? I’ve heard Marathon is very sweaty at the moment.

Finally bought this game!

I literally just bought ARC Raiders last night and I’m finally gonna play it for the first time after work today. I’ve been eyeing this game for a long while now and despite all the things i’ve seen about how Embark Studios stopped caring about the game i still wanted to try the game out. I think the playerbase is still very healthy compared to Marathon which is unfortunately at an all time low.

The maps, guns, cosmetics, visuals and pretty much everything about the game has caught my attention.

Anyway, for those of you who have been playing, what should I focus on learning/grinding early on? Anything I should prioritize? I’ve also never played an extraction shooter before, so what’s something you wish you knew when you first started Arc Raiders? And did i buy Arc Raiders at a good time or is now not the best time to get into it?
