Ahem, just out of curiosity, what do you think it would take for SQH to finally snap and raw MBJ into the floorboards? No reason, just asking...

I work in a lab, and we each have our own department to work in, so we can go days without speaking to a specific person.

There's some communication necessary, of course, but you're not forced to chit chat or spend time with them. I love love it. I can ask about their weekend or vacation, and get human interaction for 5 min at a time, without having them in my space for the whole 8 hours.

I've noticed that my works keep getting shorter and shorter. My latest work barely clears 2k. I myself usually read 5-10k, because I feel shorter works don't have enough room for a story I'd want to read.

And I don't really see where I can add stuff without it being obviously padding. How do you feel about word count?

Whether it's bread or a roast chicken, rubbing mayo on it before baking will give it a nice golden brown color without having to do the whole egg wash thing
