Does anybody know what software i would need for custom programming on GM vehicles? Does one exist for GM?

I want to do things like programming an instrument cluster and syncing miles.

I also want to change the tire size in the speedometer calibration so I can run larger tires.

Other brands have engineering software for this. Not sure if GM has this or if there's an open source software?

My OEM headlights are fogged internally and can't be fixed with polishing. I want to replace them since it really can't be fixed.

Has anyone tried aftermarket headlight housings on the tahoe? Are they just as good as OEM? Any concerns with beam pattern and distance?

I have a 2015 ppv. It comes with a disgusting rubber steering wheel with no buttons and a super small head unit with no Bluetooth or features other than basic radio.

Can I swap the steering wheel and head unit out of a civilian tahoe into the ppv?

Do i need to reuse my original airbag or will one from a different wheel work?

On most cars the head unit is VIN locked and can't be put into another car. Is this how the tahoe one is? Should I get an aftermarket android one instead?

Im thinking about buying a 2015 tahoe ppv. The center console is completely gone.

How hard would it be to find a replacement? It has no armrests or cup holders. It is literally just an open gap between the 2 front seats.

Is there anything cheap you can put there? I feel like having no armrests would be really bad.

Does anybody know how to enable the AMG instrument cluster using Vediamo and DTS? Is it possible?

MBtools can do it for $60. I would like to do it myself but I'm not sure if its possible. I've seen tutorials for other cars but not this specific instrument cluster.

Anyone done it before?

Does anybody else get lots of rattle after letting off the throttle on their m276?

Im pretty sure it's wastegate rattle from the turbos but I am not sure. The car sounds like a bicycle when you're coasting.

Mercedes released a TSB about wastegate rattle saying it's normal and doesn't cause any issues but I'm really not sure if this is what it is.

Has anyone figured out how to fix it?

I was an assistant store manager at a Target store. I had been very successful in my career and all 60 of my employees and coworkers loved me. I have been with the company for over 2 years with no write ups or performance issues. I worked extremely hard and made my store number 1 in the district for multiple different things.

One day I found a wallet someone left in a shopping cart. I picked it up and put it in the lost and found behind the service desk. It is a normal occurrence at a store like this. I just went about my day.

1 month after finding the wallet I'm pulled into a meeting with my boss. Supposedly the person came back for the wallet and we didn't have it. Asset protection pulled the camera footage and saw me picking the wallet up and putting it into the lost and found.

My boss accused me of stealing the wallet. He questioned me for 30 minutes while recording me on his phone. I just kept telling him I put it into the lost and found and he kept saying i was lying and was getting angrier every time I denied it.

I asked him some questions. Are you accusing me of stealing? No. Is there any proof I stole it? No. Do I need to find a new job? No.

The next day I come in and he tells me I'm fired. No reason or anything. Just that it's "involuntary termination".

I immediately go to asset protection and ask them why they did that to me. They tell me they didn't want to do it, I shouldn't have been fired, and everyone except for my boss said it was not grounds for termination. They showed me the camera footage from the incident. All it shows is me picking up the wallet, putting it in the lost and found that's slightly off camera, then walking away.

The shady part is that in order to terminate an employee, it has to be approved by a 3rd party HR person that doesn't work at the store. This is where proof is verified and they determine whether it's justified. This would not have been approved if my boss was being honest about not having proof. I'm 99% sure he lied to HR about what the cameras saw.

My team and coworkers are all very upset about it. Everyone is telling me to sue for wrongful termination and defamation. I legitimately believe he fired me because his ego was hurt. The entire asset protection team was saying that it didn't look like I stole it, and they're professionals at catching theft.

Is there anything I can really do about this? Virginia is an at-will state so I know they don't need a reason to fire me. Everyone is telling me to contact an employment attorney but I don't see the point. Should I do it anyway?

I'm trying to change the region on my W212 from USA to ECE. When I change the central gateway to ECE, it sets off the antitheft protection on command. Everything else works fine.

It is running command 4.5, module HU45. Im using Vediamo to do the coding.

Does anybody know a way around this? It says the security pin is invalid. Everything else works fine it's just command that doesn't want to work.

2015 Mercedes e400 3.0 turbo m276.

I have a jb4 boost tuner. Map 2 is perfect but I want to increase the low end boost so the car feels more powerful at light throttle.

Is there any way to get the values for map 2 so I can copy it in a custom map and then tweak it?

It just says +5.5 psi for map 2. Should I just build a curve with a peak of 5.5?

I had the same person buy from 2 seperate listings. I shipped them together in the same box. I purchased the shipping label on one listing and then manually added the tracking to the 2nd listing.

The problem is the 2nd listing isn't showing any tracking updates. It just says label created as if the carrier hasn't picked it up yet.

Im worried that the buyer will be able to claim that the item didn't arrive because the tracking isn't showing updates and won't show delivered when it is.

Is there a proper way to combine the orders in the system?

I want to tune my 2015 e400. It has twin turbo m276 v6. I just want a stage 1 tune that gets it to 400hp.

It seems you have 3 options for a tune on this car. OE, Weistec, and Eurocharged. All of which start at $1500.

The car is over 10 years old, super common engine, and all of the tunes are essentially the same. Is there any sort of cheaper route to get a tune file for this car? I feel like by now someone would've had to of copied these expensive tunes. Is this not how it works?

I know that there's forums where you can buy other types of softwares and programming from the community. Does anything like this exist for tunes?

I want to get some high flow downpipes for my 2015 e400. Are there any downpipe upgrades that don't set a catalyst efficency CEL for the m276?

I want downpipes but I don't want to spend $3k on a custom tune so it doesn't set a CEL. I want to pair it with a cheaper stage 1 tune or a JB4.

Are there any downpipes that don't cause issues on a stock ECU?

I hit a deer with my car and the repair bill was high enough to total it. They value the car at around $10.2k. That means its totalled at around $7600 if you go by 75%.

I haven't accepted the total loss claim yet but I've ordered all of the parts to fix it for around $6k. $1500 less than a total loss.

There's nothing really wrong with the car it's just cosmetic damage from the deer. I dont want to go through the headache of DMV inspections and title branding.

I wonder if there's any possibility of changing it to repair reimbursement instead of a total loss? I'm going to ask my insurance agent if they ever answer the phone, but does this sound realistic? I'm in the US.

I work full time as an assistant store manager for a big retailer. I understand the entire process in running a store, being profitable and efficient, and providing customer service to secure sales and prevent loss. I make this company millions of dollars every year and take home scraps.

I had the idea to use my skills to become my own retailer and actually take home what I earn. I started my own ebay store selling automotive products and electronics. So far I've exceeded $5k in gross sales and my profit ratio is about 50%.

There's just one thing I'm stuck on. Sourcing enough merchandise to make this a full time job. What i do is i buy broken electronics on marketplace, fix, and sell. I calculated that my product cost has to be 50% of resale value in order to profit 30% after fees and shipping. Problem is I run out of marketplace items and I don't have enough products to sell to exceed my jobs paycheck.

How the hell do you guys source the merchandise cheap enough to sell? I've found some interesting suppliers on websites like alibaba but I'm not entirely sure the products are genuine. Can anyone give me some insight on this?

I'm selling 2 pairs of factory sealed airpods. My listing got no attention for a couple days and all of the sudden I got 10 messages asking for the serial number from various long term accounts and both pairs sold within 30 minutes.

I'm thinking about buying a high mileage 2010 ml350 bluetec for a winter beater. It seems the most trouble people have with these is the emissions system. Supposedly the vehicle doesn't start if theres faults.

What all is involved in disabling it? Is it just a tune?

Has anyone done it and can comment on how difficult and expensive it was to delete it?
