Any advice? Does this happen to anyone else?

Does anyone else become problematic and start causing trouble when they get really drunk? I mean, back when I used to drink (usually on weekends or sometimes during the week), I wasn’t an aggressive drunk at all, but over time it gradually got worse to the point where it’s caused me several problems. It’s really strange because I’m actually quite a calm person.

Another thing is that I mainly drink to make the day go by faster or to kill boredom. I don’t consider myself an alcoholic because, honestly, I don’t feel dependent on it or anything — it’s more just something to pass the time. But at the same time, I don’t like drinking “a little”; if I drink, I usually want to keep going until I completely black out. I’ve tried drinking moderately, but I just didn’t see the point.

Has this happened to anyone else? And if so, how did you get out of that cycle?
