An idea for a USA themed song I’ve been working on.

How I want to sing it is a little out of range. This is me trying it in a lower register. Not great, but I love the intro. What do you think? Scrap it?

Original song, Meet Me In West Virginia

Fun fact, I’ve never been to West Virginia. I had a roommate from there once. Do you like the song?

I’m working on figuring out all of the parts to the How The West Was Won version of Over the Hills and Far Away

It’s not smooth yet, but I’ve made it up to the solo. This jam is such a creative way to play basically 3 chords. Jimmy Page is a genius.

Cali Raised LED step edition rock sliders.

I installed these yesterday. It should’ve been an easy install, and it was on the passenger side, but not matter what I did I could not get all of the bolts in the driver’s side. A single bolt is missing from the front wheel portion of that slider.

They look nice and I love having functional for off-roading side steps, but I would not recommend the Cali Raised LED version. The final bolt is only off by a few millimeters, but the bolt has to be perfectly straight to be threaded. I could drill it out and get it in, and probably will, but I shouldn’t have to. I bought them during a sale. Afterwards, I read through reviews and the driver side alignment is a somewhat of a common issue. The tolerances with either the cut of the tubing or the weld positioning is off.

I made this video for my friend that is learning guitar and thought it might be useful to share here. It’s a guide to what I think is important to learn how to improvise.

Deleted the stock tail pipe on my 25 TRD-OR and put on the SXTH off-road trail pipe.

Looks great and will be great for off-roading. Easy install, had to lower spare to get out the old pipe. It sounds pretty much the same. I tried to get video, but my phone connected to CarPlay and stopped recording. Not really worth posting anyway.

I’m a pretty crap singer, but Loser is such a good song and chord progression.

It’s a great song, just goes to show how much incredible music by the Dead never made the radio.
