Bringing a boat?

forgive the noob question, but on the Ranger lll ferry website, it mentions bringing boats up to 20ft in length. How does that work? How do you then move the boat once the ferry arrives on the island? Thanks!

macbook pro problems

Hi all, been using LRC for years without issue, now I can't do much of anything before it freezes and/or crashes. Sometimes when I leave it for a couple of days then come back, it will work great...for a short while, then it's back to freezing and crashing. I read a couple of weeks ago that some people had luck by reverting back to a previous version so I decided to try that...not realizing I needed to save my current catalogue before doing so, so long story short, it didn't solve the issues and now I am re-importing all my photos from my external HD. I am a dumbass. It's the process of re-importing that is now taking forever as I can only do a handful of folders, with 1 to 20 photos each, before the freeze/crash. Any advice? I am not super computer literate, so EILI5. Thanks

late 2024 Macbook Pro

Apple M4

48 GB memory

1 TB internal, less than a quarter full

LRC 15.4.1

photos stored on WD My Passport, only half full

what was I seeing?

Hi all, on a recent road trip through northern Montana, I observed miles and miles of poles with huge, clear, two-level insulators. They looked to be dinner plate sized There were 3 on each pole. After noticing them I started watching for any missing ones and figured it would be worth a stop to search the ground under, but no luck. On some poles, the clear one was replaced with what looked like a ceramic one

What if a worldwide flood covered Earths highest peaks? Would the atmosphere just expand outward making water level the new sea level? And would that make it so some random people in a large zoo boat, plus all the animals, be able to survive at 30,000+? I'll hang up and listen

I had thought of this angle before, thinking it just another proof that this whole story never happened, but then I began thinking about the atmosphere and how it would behave, and I'm honestly curious...not that i would ever believe the story...and of course, sorry if this offends anyone

Break in?

Do the 5’s have a break in period like conventional speakers? Just picked one up on sale, and I feel like the highs don’t sound as good as the display model in Best Buy. Of course I am still playing around with placement. Also do you think the app will ever feature a true eq?

Chainsaw Bar Oil Removal

Self explanatory, I grabbed my chainsaw out of the garage last night, didn’t realize I was leaving a trail. The concrete is about 6 months old. I already scrubbed it with dish soap. Will anything get the stain out? Thanks for any suggestions

OK, so everyone has seen the bowling ball on a trampoline example of an object of mass curving space. What is the simplest way to describe what it would actually look like? Can our minds comprehend it? My problem with this demonstration of the fabric of space is that space is just seen as a flat plain, when in fact it would be space above and below the trampoline, right?, so how would an object curve that? I know I recently heard a description that a black hole is not a 2 dimensional object like what is depicted on screen, but appears as a hole from any direction, which is hard to fathom, so is that kinda how the bowling ball on a trampoline would be, existing beyond our understanding? Sorry for the rambling question...thanks to anyone who can maybe help me visualize it
