I have a Yeti Ranchero 27L backpack. It's not particularly soft so it won't smoosh into the shape of a bag cage if I leave some space and it technically exceeds the size limits of the airline im flying on. For those who play fast and loose in this space, how often are you caught and made to stow it?
I saw a man today walking his… uhh… poodles? they looked amazing! perfect shape and proportions, but they were HUGE! honestly they could have made friends with Danes or wolfhounds. They were actually not super well leash trained and they were very much pulling him about they were so big. I’ve never seen anything like it! Have you ever seen a giant pood before? I asked him about them and he said they were “standard” but there was nothing standard about these poods! He had two of them, both jet black. I was so taken aback I didn’t even think to take a photo. If I tell you these dogs were 1m (40 inches) at the snoot I’m conservatively underselling it. They were massive! (And 300% adorable)
I am wanting to go to the DMZ. My cruise ship docks at 8 so I'm reluctant to book a tour that leaves before 9:30 at the risk of any delays. Everyone says "go early" which I would if it was an option. I wanted to know if anyone had experiences with going later and what the consequence of that was. If it's just busy I can totally deal with that but if there's a chance the bus gets turned around then I'm worried im paying a few hundred bucks for a long coach ride.
My toy pood got his first Cytopoint shot yesterday, turns out he’s an allergy boye… he has been pretty zonked since. I had a few concerns when I went in including him being “off”, I’d argue his exam was pretty thorough, temp, heart, lungs, plenty of squeezing, no ear infections, nothing obviously presenting externally, in the end he got his shot and we were on our way. He has previously been taking apoquel.
Since he has come home he’s been a total sleepy nugget. Dude usually goes ballistic when we get home but not yesterday afternoon, lots of sleep, he hasnt had a drink since 2:30 yesterday (currently 5:00 am) but did eat wet food and half a raw egg with his dinner, did a wee before bed. Did not move from where we plonked him to sleep on the bed.
I have seen that low energy can be a side effect of this medication, if I woke up and he was like this sans shot I would absolutely be taking him to the vet. I’ll be calling them when they open in a few hours, just wondering if anyone can tell me if this is par for the course with this medication

I’m about to head to Tokyo for a few weeks and i want to take a backpack that can carry a handful of impulse purchases and maybe act as a bit of a weekender in a pinch.
The alpaka is amazing because it honestly is designed for EDC so it’s discrete, has a passport pocket against my back and it’s. Well thought out for daily needs it’s 26L but it feels like it is overselling that volume a little. 23 might be a better description.
The ranchero is also amazing but because it has a “who gives a fuck how much you have to bring” approach. It’s a physically bigger bag and Also it has structure to it (I’d call it semi structured) but if i need to one bag for a day or two and also fit a bottle of wine or i find something i want to buy or whatever - it feels like i could fit 32L into it with no problem. Also - being a mystery ranch product (kinda) it’s the best built bag i own…
Yeti is sliiiiightly over the airline bag size limit but if i have to stow it i could deal with that knowing they probably won’t scrutinise it. The alpaka fits easily within the limits.
What should i pick?
Feels like it’s everywhere. I work in facilities management and we’re spending tens of thousands literally every week to fix the damage caused by people stealing like 20 - 50 bucks of copper… is someone building a big statue on the cheap or something? Is there a new underground trade in this? I hate to think what this costs energy companies, local and state govt, vicroads.
Newish house (2022 build) toilets do not appear to have any leaks, the bowl doesn’t appear to have any internal running water going down it as it can with older worn out systems. But the en-suite toilet will make a sound like it’s filling up randomly. Typically happens late at night, have never heard it during the day or in the evening, seems to run for 3-5 seconds then turns off again. Mostly care because it wakes me up

Picked up the new orbitkey keyboard case and it’s actually pretty bloody cool! The materials are much nicer than I expected and it fits my gear pretty well! I used to carry a bit of a tech football around with me (peak design tech pouch) but this is a much more efficient design for carrying on the go. The materials feel super premium and hard wearing

Will it hold an MX master? Surprisingly yes but it’s not ideal
Will the mini hold a 75%? It is about 1.5 cm short of holding my wife’s K855
Are the zippers waterproof? I’m not about to test it but if I got caught in the rain i wouldn’t be worried, the fabric broadly feels pretty water repellent.
Is it well padded? If I dropped it I wouldn’t be worried about the contents breaking, similarly the inner divider feels like it’s keeping all my

Does it fit an Apple touchpad? Oof JUST, unless you like it rattling around… it does fit in the larger size one better
Space for pens or a stylus? No
Expensive? Surprisingly not really for what you get, $55 -60 AUD depending on the size you get, if you are the type who keeps 2 or more office setups (maybe one for on the road, one for the office bag, one for overseas travel) I’d probably buy one for each use case
What did you use before? Before this I had the Protoarc folding keyboard which is about 10 cm shorter, similar width and 2 cm thinner… but also I couldn’t fit all my other stuff in that so I also had “the football”

When I was younger, a cute lady friend flew into town to stay with me. She was a raver girl and we wanted to go out and party. When I met up with her I’d been super disorganized and not set up any events or clubs or parties or anything, partly because I’m not that popular and partly because I’m a bit lazy.
I felt bad, I was messaging a group chat about it and said all I had organised was a big bag of weed. Turns out when you have a big bag of weed everyone all of a sudden wants to be your friend.
The group chat came alive and I got offers from mates to go to a couple of raging house parties. As I’m rocking up everyone knows I’m the dude with a pocket full of joints so all of a sudden people are high fiving me, offering me and this girl drinks, asking what we’re doing later, telling stories reminding me of why I’m supposedly besties with everyone.
We got an invite with a group of these guys to a nightclub later that evening. They knew the owner so now we’re getting free drinks and a private table, the owner had a sweet apartment in the city and at the end of the night we all retired to his place and crashed. Next day the group was meeting up to go to a day festival and once again everyone wants to hang out and do favors for the guy with the joints. I could go on but for 4 days we barely got a chance to shower and change we crammed so much partying in. The whole weekend seemed to be a nonstop rollercoaster of me being the dude with the hookup to all the best party spots who was seemingly best friends with everyone we came across and the guy everyone wanted at their event.
At the end of her stay me, following a long weekend of a lot of hooking up and parties and living life like they do in the movies, this lady left and I had never been so grateful to my network for presenting me in such a positive light that weekend. We kept in touch for a little while but it kinda died off. The other day we spoke for the first time in a long time and it occurred to me during our conversation and how she was speaking to me that because that was her only snapshot into my life that’s how she thinks I live. She thinks I’m like, bouncing party to party club to club, bottle service and VIP, handing out party favors, none of which could be further from the truth… but her perception was that I was “the man” that weekend

I have tried a few times to set up sites for crafting. i'm pretty far into the game, i have the last set of quests up and i've basically been flying around the galaxy just like picking up whatever and storing it on my ship which is now sittinig over 3K capacity ini mostly resources (probably 2K of rando resources) and i feel like whenever i land somewhere and try to build something, or try to upgrade a gun or whatever it is it'll be like "you have 2/3 copper" and i cant build it, it always seems like its something super common like i feel like i get copper fucking everywhere!
i dont play miner, i get my minerals from loot boxes and quests and stuff, maybe that's why im missing stuff?
Also theres SO many individual crafting things it's hard to know what you actually need, like I might have like 30 nuclear control rods... do i need that many? Probably not but I'll bet when I do need one they're not exactly just sitting around!
So for the crafters, where are you getting all these resources, i have some mission now where i have to build a powerplant 4 turrets and an X tech extractor and even just that seemingly basic thing feels like an absolute shit of a task

I have like 30 legendary weapons, a sweet space suit, more aid than I will ever need (over 100 med, trauma and emergency kits each) the other day it even said "max ships reached" so I had to get rid of some... I replaced them and modified the 3 or 4 I replaced and I still have like 800K credits... I'm not credit farming, no outposts, no cheats, I'm just a loot goblin... is there some super expensive thing i'm missing out on? space gambling? space hookers? not sure
I play RPG's like I live my life, I dont keep duplicates and triplicates of equipment, if i have a weapon I like I use it, if I find a better version i turf the old one and upgrade, I might occasionally keep specific special items like the mantis armour because it looks cool but its honestly worse than my suit so *shrugs*.
in Starfield though, I have found myself collecting ships, i have about 8 or 9 of them at this point. I have sold a bunch of crap ones I have been gifted along the way but im currently rocking modified versions of:
I have found that other than the ratrace maze that most of these ships offer (some better than others) most of them feel kind of the same. does anyone else get this? What other ships should I check out?
I’ve owned an ev for about 3 months now. Today my wife took me out and had to fill up with petrol as part of the trip… it never occurred to me how much I haven’t missed this place. It just cost her 50 bucks to fill up and she’s waiting behind about 4 people at the counter, we had to go out of our way to drive here, it’s loud, smelly, and I’m super glad I don’t have to do this any more…
Takes about 20 mins to clear out that place and about an hour to sell all the loot! Usually at least 120k of loot per run. Plus all the killing XP That’s insane
It's my first playthrough and i'm not cutting any corners (that I don't accidently lock myself out of at least) I'm doing all the side missions, all the different faction quests where I can, having a go at ship building, crafting, settlement building, but every decision I make I always do my best to be the morally worst person I can be. The last mission I did was >!convincing some space scavenger to hand over the artifact. I got everything done peacefully... then shot him in the face along with everyone in his crew, i looted SO much off that ship and spent like 20 minutes of real world time resetting the vendor at the den to sell every last styrofoam cup... Sam coe disliked that but screw that guy he died in the next scene! !<
If there is a way to be a morally bad person then my reaction is always to be like "oh I gotta see how they implemented that!" back in fallout 4 I would give mama murphy as much psycho as I could find as often as the game would let me. In cyberpunk I let the dude crying about his turtle meet his own demise while I was off doing better things...
As an added bonus - if you want the game to be a brand new game the next time you just do the opposite wherever you can, in games of this scale it basically changes the entire game!
