I’m a regular degular customer. Recently ordered an item and left a review pretty much immediately because there was something wrong with it. Other than that most of my reviews have been on clothes.

Perhaps something about the timing spurred it but I got the invite to Amazon Vine. Read over the page, but I’m still unclear on some things. Do they just send you items at random, or can you choose? Since I didn’t respond this time (I just closed out of the app) is that it forever or is there a chance I’ll get the invite again the next time I leave a review? I’m considering it but I’m getting ready to move, so I’d rather wait until I’m in my new address.

And lastly, is it worth it? If you were in my shoes would you do it again?

And yet everytime someone likes my comment, I get a notification. My notification page in fact, is all comment likes. I have comments that get thousands of likes—my most liked I think is around 68k. And I get a notification for every. Single. One.

I’ve uninstalled, logged out, done all I can think of. Right swiped and chosen “turn off notifications like this”. My push notifications are also off, but when someone mentions me or comments on my actual posts I always miss it because it’s all likes. Is there something I’m doing wrong? Or is this just never going to be fixed?

Oh, and while I’m at it—how tf do you get rid of the random “such and such is on Meta app” or “such and such invited you to join their page/channel.”?

Spoilers if you haven’t finished Season 2!!

Here’s my unedited confusions. I finished the season more than a month ago, this is a note I wrote at like 2 am immediately after lol so don’t judge me too harshly!

I was following up until like the last three ish episodes. All the stuff with the Shi clan has me a bit lost. I’m not necessarily looking for spoilers but just clarification. I’m also open to theories from other anime onlies or “this is explained later!” From readers who are ahead. I feel like I have to rewatch the season to understand it all. Not that I mind—I rewatched season 1 as well but it was just less convoluted, and I get the vibe this show will only get more complex.

I get that Shishou was adopted into a more important/wealthy clan (via marriage with Shenmei right?) and that she became a concubine not long after they got engaged. But it sounds like her dad/Shishou plotted together for her to become a concubine? If so why was he so shocked when she left and determined to get her back? And what does the slave trade have to do with it?

Why did Shenmei hate the country so much? Yet she freaked out when Shishou tried to rescue her, she seems…off. Is she mentally well?! I know the answer to that one.

Why did Shishou seem so weak at the end? At times he was conniving like the original feifa plot, but towards the end he acted like he had no clue what was going on or couldn’t stop it. Isn’t he the one who planned the rebellion of the Shi clan after he took over and put all this in motion? So why is he shocked?! I’ve read a few threads and comments on this and I still don’t really get it.

Did everyone in the village MaoMao was originally brought to die except the kids?

Wtf was the point of the moon fairy plot and the blonde ladies? Were they just there to sneak in guns? But then there was the abortion medicine stuff? Was that all them or more coincidental? Or they were being led by Shenmei?

Why was Anshi good enough but not Taihou? Both were ladies in waiting of concubines pursued by the emperor from a young age, but one got to become empress and the other had her child denied and casted out. The current emperor has more than one kid with different ladies so I can’t imagine why more heirs would be a problem, especially since his mom was so desperate for him to be with somebody.

Why did Shisui have to get shot?

From the mess of things I’m surprised she wasn’t taken in for questioning or as some kind of POW? And how the flying fuck did she survive that?! She doesn’t appear to have taken the same medicine as the kids.

Did something happen to Xiaolan or is MaoMao just reminiscing and missing their time together and that’s why she shed a tear? Why couldn’t she stay on as Gyoukyou’s taster? Was she considered a traitor to the kingdom because she was kidnapped?

Why the flying FUCK did Jinshi BITE her?!

I was so lost there and the translation seemed off. People say he can’t confess directly because he doesn’t want to take away her freedoms or ability to say no, but after the battle when they were waiting for the kids to wake up he was super touchy and frank with her. “I’ve been trying to hold back but I can’t” “I just need 30 minutes” in a room with children’s corpses?! (I know they aren’t but he didn’t know that.) I don’t get him not being able to say he likes her yet can jump straight to being so physical, that seems like it robs her even more of the chance to say no? Especially since she just seems vaguely annoyed by everything.

Like they seemed to be at a better more intimate/romantic place at the end of season 1 compared to now. I’ve read so my threads on the cave scene but I just feel like it’s missing..explicit consent. Like she seems to have been tolerating him all season, which is fine for silly antics but not for him climbing on top of her, holding her, hugging her, trying to kiss her etc. Her closing her eyes and accepting the potential kiss isn’t quite enough when she could be in danger for rejecting him. Knowing her stance of, I just have put up with everything because he ranks higher makes things feel icky.

Also this is not my first anime! True to this not new to this. I’ve seen some pretty shy, awkward and tsundere characters, but even those you can still tell. A lil blush, a little something. Maomao is like the tsundere boss level. It’s hard to root for them when she seems so put off.

And I know yall will say read the novels or manga but there’s like a bajillion versions of each and I got a headache trying to understand all the differences and figure out which one I should be reading, much less where to find it…and I saw another post yesterday saying the English translation is bad anyways and still missing context/nuance and the only real way to fully understand series is to read it in Japanese. Thus I’m sticking with the anime.

Had a stylist tell me that having lint is just part of having locs, there’s no way to get rid of all of it and that all you can do is dye it and keep it pushing.

Is this true? I’ve spotted some before and only got it out by destroying the loc, but I’ve never tried a detox. Can’t shake the feeling that my hair isn’t truly clean..
