How I got out of vine jail and kept my Gold status

Let me begin by saying that I know this isnt interesting and am only writing it for the few people in the future who might be in the my same predicament and try to search for an answer.

I spent about a month and a half in jail, after becoming Gold and always having consistently Excellent reviews (half of which had images attached, never submitted a video). It was a bummer, but I kind of needed it given I had gone overboard and was ordering faster than I could review stuff because its a fucking gauntlet out there once items start dropping and I also wait til I genuinely use something before reviewing. That being said, I had 12 pages of items needing review going back a few months, so I probably deserved it. My percentage was above 60%, but not by much.

What I did: I wrote to support about what the issue was and how I could resolve it and they sent a very cheerful, empathetic message about how scary it must be, how grateful they are for me, and to just keep doing what Im doing. Essentially, I got nothing. I had about a month until my review date, so I figured I could write five reviews a day until then and be finished before the deadline. Then I remembered I actually had to be at 90% by two weeks before the review date, as that is the "review period".

So I grinded the fuck out and got my numbers to 95% in the course of a few days. Each review was genuine, I didn't chatGPT it, I messed with each product, took pictures where it felt necessary. I treated the reviews regularly like ones I had done in the past, I just turned them out like I had a paper due in college.

What I learned: You don't need to wait until your review period to get out of jail, I regained access to RFY and the pit (Additional Items) within a week of reaching 90%.

I would suspect that if you are in jail, you should raise your percent reviewed to what your level requirements are, forget about 60%. If I am wrong on that, it certainly won't hurt to follow it anyway.

Then came the review period, I was nervous that even if I stayed above 90%, having been in jail would tarnish my record or my maniacal method of catching up would have played a factor, but it worked! The review period proceeded like normal where my stats were greyed out but I still had access and about 16 hours later I was still at Gold with my stats reset to zero.

Hope this is helpful to someone. You can get yourself out of jail! If you have any questions I'm happy to answer now or in the future, but that just about covers it.

Chromashading fountain pen ink sample swatches from Kitty Ink Pot

They are so pretty to swatch but difficult to find a pen that lets them shine (or even read legibly sometimes)- in most pens there's little shading or they flatten out to a light grey. Many of the colors I had resigned to the art ink pile (as in, not usable for writing) but then I found this fine-tip glass dip pen from SeventyTwo on amazon and its revived my collection. Its fine enough where I can write journal entries in an A6 sized notebook, plus its gorgeous.

All swatches are done with a glass dip pen- either Komamono Lab's Fonte Pen w/ Glass Nib or the one I mentioned above. Bought through Australian shop Soe&Soe (ships to US but its not cheap). Paper is Wearingul A5 Swatch Paper, Midori MD (cream), & Kakimori B6 Twin notebook Don't dwell on how wonky my gramaphone is, I tried to draw it from memory, I know it sucks

Is this a riddle? I am stuck in driver version purgatory

The current driver for Cintig27QHD is 6.4.10-3

Advice is to get an older version of the driver

For Mac OS 26 Tahoe device must be supported by the 6.4.11 driver

My perfectly functioning Cintiq27QHD, which worked just fine last week before I had to upgrade to an M4Mini because my M1Mini died, is just a second monitor now?

Are there open source tablet drivers anyone has gotten to recognize their device? I wish I could roll back my operating system to pre-Tahoe (weeping)

Mini research project on most successful VTuber hair color

Found this video with less than 250 views that uses statistics to determine the average hair color of the most successful vtubers while looking for a video on designing hair for a model. Its fun and snappy- the info isn't really helpful but I found it charming. I think it deserves more love than it got when it was released two years ago.

BTW- I havent found one that helps with how to actually draw the hair, just cutting and rigging. I need help with drawing and coloring, I can see that the roots are generally darker but if you know of a video that spells all this stuff out I would appreciate it! I think my problem is Im not a digital artist to begin so Im not used to creating hair.

What does real justice look like?

I'm sure all of us have thought that LO's victims should band together and file a class action against her, but as Clayton and others have said this would require lots of time and money, keeping the wound open and in all reality they probably couldn't squeeze anything out of her, even if she was found to be at fault. But I wonder though if they could pursue better legal protections against people like them going forward?

Something like Laura's Law that puts something into place where men can request proof of pregnancy beyond an HCG test or provides an avenue of recourse when someone submits tampered/fraudulent medical records.

This is a tough one because we want to consider legitimate causes, but I feel like there is something here we can pinpoint. The larger macro-level harm a person that Laura Owens does is causing people to loose faith in the court system and providing people like her with a roadmap for legal abuse.

If there was something like Laura's Law what should it cover? What should we absolutely exclude while being considerate of real cases? For legal folks what would something like this take? I think positive campaigning for future protections is a better path than further entanglement with Laura, it reshapes what success is and would go towards reaffirming faith in the legal system.

The technical feasibility and psychic requirements to perform the GG hacks (not written by AI)

There's so much with this case it's hard to focus on any single element, and I really think Greg's hacking abilities haven't gotten the attention and respect Laura implies they deserve. So today I thought I would highlight just how diabolical and talented of a hacker Greg would have to be to execute what he is accused of:

  1. Sending Ultrasound Video to Clayton Echard

Requires access to LO's email account at the time, knowledge of their relationship and that they were experiencing a pregnancy scare, writing an email adopting her exact syntax and tone, going back in and deleting all trace of the email after it was written, and sourcing the video and altering it.

  1. Creating the 2021 FPA and HonorHealth Ultrasounds

Requires access to LO's email at the time, her DOB, photoshop ability, but also the foresight to add a fiverr logo watermark trace, send the attachments to himself as her, writing as her in the email body for no apparent reason all to incriminate LO at some future time during his own pregnancy scare despite apparently believing it at the time (or maybe not yet? was he trying to convince himself?)

  1. Forging OneMedical Doctor's Note

Depending on how this went down he would have to have access the real OneMedical patient portal, create a fake user interface, or email addresses, must have known this was the medical provider LO was using at the time, adopted fake medical personas, all to make mention of the pregnancy narrative as it was ongoing. some graphic design skills. requires foresight that this would become an issue further down the road, otherwise it is just supporting the in situ pregnancy narrative.

  1. Fake Emails to/with Joe Cotchett

"Ms. Black Owens told us that Gillespie had doctored letters to Laura's prior family attorney early on in the abortion coercion case." Not sure if this is referring to 2 and 3 above or an allegation that Greg fabricated the Uncle Joe letters in order to make it appear LO was lying about consulting with Cotchett. Same skill set and preternatural foresight as above, except in the case of the latter, he also has to potentially know enough about Cotchett to replicate his manner of writing and reference personal interactions with family.

  1. Sending Ovarian cancer and oophorectomy paperwork to Mike Marraccini

In addition to aforementioned forgery skills, requires enough medical knowledge about gynecological exams and procedures to fabricate medical records (such as ability to spell oophorectomy). either a) has enough familiarity with Mike's case to know that he would make the claim in the future and fabricated evidence to support it to sabotage a woman he had not met yet, or b) the ability to make emails appear as if they were sent in the past

Making emails appear as if they were sent from the past

This isn't like backdating a check, Greg would need specific knowledge about LO/Mike's email client, expertise in database management tools and email MIME syntax, know how to rewrite encrypted or local application files without corrupting them, recreate the logs and message IDs to match those used at the time of the fake email's target era, and then get the email client to repopulate all of the emails with the fake emails sandwiched in (you can't just drop it in a folder and have it show up). This does not include gaining access to the target's device, physically or remotely, and does not include breaking into the email client's own servers if email is accessed via a web browser.

Wider implications

This also means that by 2023, after being hacked by Greg in 2021, LO had not changed her email passwords or Greg maintained silent, unnoticed access to an iCloud account. There are also accusations that Greg "got into her computer" and either made it seem like things were being sent from her device or was actually sending things from it. The former could be accomplished through email login and would not require getting into her computer. The latter requires more than a wifi password. He would have had to install some kind of program that gives him undetected backdoor access that bypasses the computer's firewall, know when LO is NOT using her laptop to create a silent remote session (otherwise she would see the cursor moving around doing things), upload the files to a hidden folder, send the stuff and cover his tracks.

In the simplest case, LO would have to maintain the same password and not use any form of authentication despite gmail not letting me sign in to a device I already own without freaking the fuck out on me and alerting every device in the room.

This also means that despite having the technical ability to do all this he has only used this expertise to concoct a few relatively trivial discrepancies and nothing else, while keeping this ability so well under wraps that people close to him describe him as "not a computer guy".

▲ 19 r/urushi

I have been a fountain pen fiend for some time but my budget keeps me down at entry level. I follow this sub because I love seeing people post their urushi projects, but I don't know very much. I feel like this has to be urushi, given the other pens it was displayed with but I am curious what this finish/technique would be called? The only decorative style I am familiar with is maki-e but I think that is inlay? This looks like the Kaweko Steel Fire Blue finish, but I doubt it is scorched the same way. Powders? I'd love to know more if anyone has insight, thanks
