I realize that A1C is a measure of average blood glucose over the past 2-3 months, but I was wondering if it’s possible for being sick for two + weeks before a blood draw (still recovering from cough at time of blood draw) could cause A1C to go up 0.1, say from 6.3 to 6.4?

I have read that illness can cause blood sugar to spike and remain elevated due to fighting off infection, so to my thinking, that increase in blood glucose could translate into a slight (0.1) elevation in A1C.

I realize that 6.3 is still high and I need to make some major changes.

Has anyone else noticed this with their 2026 Odyssey?

I’ve noticed pretty much every time I drive now after about 10 minutes (warmed up?) there is a popping noise coming from underneath toward the middle/rear of the van like metal expanding (kinda like when you open a jar lid). It happens only once or twice and then again once the van has been turned off for 10 minutes or so (cooled down?). Is this normal? We have 2005 Odyssey that we bought new and I have never noticed it making this kind of noise.

I called the dealer service dept & they just said to bring it in to have it looked at, but I don’t really feel like wasting time sitting at the dealer if it’s just a “normal” sound.

Anyone else noticed this?

Have had the van less than 6 months

Garage kept

99% of the time it’s only used for short 10-15 minutes or so drives, although we have driven it about 250 miles a couple of times.

I already have AP credit for Physics but kind of want to take it again anyway. Let’s say I don’t get the grade I was hoping for—can I just opt to take the AP credit instead of the grade so it doesn’t affect my gpa, or am I stuck with the grade even though I could have just taken the credit had I not taken the class?

I got credit for Phys 141 through my AP exam but am thinking of taking it again just to get a strong foundation in preparing to become a mechanical engineer. Is this a good or bad idea? Would I be wise just to take the AP credit and just start with Phys 142 next semester? Or will I be unprepared with just the AP credit?

Is it feasible for a freshman to take both Physics 141 and Chemistry 122/123 their first semester? Already have AP credit for 141 but wanted to maybe take it again for the labs. Is that a mistake? Will I be able to handle both or should I just focus on Chemistry? Also, will be commuting.

I’m aware each season has its own best whites, but in general, does white (true white) look better on springs or autumns?

My guess is springs do since I believe spring colors are white based whereas autumn colors are gray based(?)

Again, not claiming true white to be ideal for either, just trying to figure out if one can handle it better.

If a person looks warm in overcast (cloudy) natural light does that point to having a warm undertone?

The sample course schedule for ME major shows Chemistry first year and Physics second, but my advisor told me to register for Physics 141 first semester.

I just found out today that I got AP credit for Phys 141, so I don’t need to take it. I’m considering taking it anyway just to build a strong foundation, but my schedule works a lot better with Chemistry this fall. Am I ok taking Chemistry first?

I also got AP credit for both Calc 1 & Calc 2, so I will start in Calc 3 (planning to take it in the spring).

My husband bought several different kinds of beer for a party, and this one ended up being his favorite. Naturally, there were none left after the party. He said he got the last one on the shelf. I made a big batch of sauce for a party tomorrow, and it would be most convenient if I could just put the whole pot (once cooled) in the fridge overnight to store it. Is it safe to do so? Will it affect the flavor at all being stored in stainless steel? My only other option is plastic containers.
