Captain invited everyone in First Class to say hi to his First Officer in the cockpit

It was the first time I got a chance to visit the cockpit since usually only Million milers, Delta 360s or kids do, but I chickened out. I liked the in-person pilot briefing format, though. Is that a new thing? Or maybe I don't know because I recently status-matched to Delta.

The captain briefed C+ pax as well. The boarding was completed early, so this approach didn't waste any time. In fact, we arrived 20 minutes early.

Many people don't seem to wash their hands after pooping or peeing

Is this some weird natural immunity fad of not washing hands after pooping or peeing? Within a span of minutes at Universal resorts' restrooms, you'd encounter many who don't wash their hands. And this trend transcends racial demographics, so no need to be racist. Anyway, my point is that visiting Universal will make you aware of this weird phenomenon. Hopefully, Universal kitchen staff is not into this nonsense.

Might wanna consider using hand towels/tissues to use door handles touched by them. The Mythos restaurant Men's restroom doesn't even have a trash can close to the door but I succeeded at throwing a paper towel ball into a trash can far away from the door while keeping the door open with my shoes.

Am I doing it right?

Rideshare spend is mostly Lyft. All spend is personal travel. Rent paid was through their direct debit option, so credit card wasn't used.

Would it still be lush green next week?

I couldn't complete the Cascade Canyon trail in June (had to catch my flight), so I'm coming back. Would it still be lush green next week (as per the annual trend)? Thanks

Flying to Ontario, CA to watch The Odyssey

I'll be in other states the next few weekends & none of them have an IMAX 70 mm screen with 1:43 aspect ratio. It's been impossible getting good seats for the Regal Irvine & AMC Universal (LA) showings of The Odyssey.

For AMC Metreon in San Francisco, the best I could manage was seat F6, and reviews suggest it'd be a terrible experience.

Some people seem to have written some scripts to frequently watch out for good seats becoming available, so AMC & Regal have been rate-limiting or blocking frequent requests for seat maps.

Anyway, is H10 a good seat at Ontario Palace IMAX? Google Gemini says it is.

Thanks!

What written proof are GAs supposed to provide when they run out of hotel vouchers & ask people to book hotels themselves?

What written proof are GAs supposed to provide when they run out of hotel vouchers & ask people to book hotels themselves & submit documentation for reimbursement? Y'all ask to get written proof but does AA have any established procedures for generating such IOU letters? What do such letters look like? Thanks!

Rude UPS driver refused to give me my package & falsely marked it as "recipient refused delivery"

A rude UPS driver didn't give me my UPS Next Day Air package. He left within a few seconds of knocking at my door. I followed him outside & he pretended to not listen, kept walking & loaded the package back in his UPS truck right in front of me. Then he took out another package, delivered it, came back & asked me to sign for my package without taking it out from his UPS truck. Because of his behavior, I could tell he had no intention of removing the package from the truck, so I asked him to remove the package from his truck before I'd sign for the delivery & he drove away. He falsely changed the status of the shipment to "Delivery refused".

I had generated the UPS shipping label myself, so I'm both the shipper & the recipient.

The package has perishable items (frozen food), which will get spoiled because of your employee.

Okay to cancel new card within 30 days (no bonus)?

I opened a Delta Platinum card again but turns out I actually need Delta Reserve.

Would closing a new card be held against me even if I don't get any bonus?

Thanks

Carrier damaged goods & won't pay? Send it to a carrier's top-level exec in protests

Carriers may have weak internal processes that they don't wanna rejig. Customers may suffer because of the status quo.

Carrier execs have housekeepers at their houses who accept packages on their behalf. At their office, they have a mailroom.

They won't learn what it's like to have to trash packages with stuff such as spoiled food or destroyed stuff, but at least their housekeeper will tell them about it. Do it only once because although sending "free gifts" is legal, repeating it may come across as harrassment.

PSA: UPS 2nd Day Air is not suitable for frozen meals

UPS Store staff might steal some food & might then repack the box for UPS-pickup the next day. And then they might falsely claim UPS picked up the package the same day you dropped it off, but the tracking status will show what happened.

The meals would then arrive spoiled. They're not covered by insurance, so you'd lose the shipping fee as well as the money spent on meals & packaging.

Pirate Ship is operating illegally

Pirate Ship doesn't mention in their terms that their UPS 2nd Day Air or UPS 1 Day Air doesn't have a delivery guarantee (what's the point of the service names, then?) If you have had a bad experience with them regarding non-disclosure, please complain to the FTC. Or we could initiate a class-action lawsuit against it as we'd be class representatives.

2 Day Air package not scanned by UPS even after 9 hours

Looks like the UPS driver somehow missed picking it up & it's still at the UPS Store?

A series of unfortunate events

Was flying Flagship First from JFK -> SFO on a red-eye (from ET time zone point-of-view).

I'm a teetotaler but was very absent-minded that day (first week of June). First, I thought I lost my phone. I heard it being thrown around during takeoff. After we gained cruising altitude, the FAs also helped look for it & even took apart the seat. It was in the overhead bin (was not in a bag). That wasn't embarrassing enough. I didn't know the value of recognition certificates, so I only gave one each. I should've looked it up. :(

When the meal service started, I wasn't even using my reading light because I'm very reticent IRL & suffer from extreme social anxiety (which made me buy Flagship First upgrades). There was bright light coming from the IFE screen, though. After setting up the tray-table, the FA turned on the reading light when she returned with the meal. She came back to take the tray away & another time to bring dessert, and then to clear the tray-table. After I turned off the reading light & resumed the movie I had on, only then did I notice that my jeans was unzipped this whole time, and the zipper must've looked weird, as it must've been in the line-of-sight of the FA, since it was close to one end of the tray table (after it was pulled out sideways towards me). I had gone to the lavatory earlier & had forgotten to zip up my jeans!!!

Have you ever had a streak of embarrassing incidents while flying? Anyway, the insight you gleaned from this post is to watch out for your jeans'/pants' zipper.

Abnormal looking poop with thread like extensions

10 week old baby bunny looks abnormally tiny & weighs 1.4 lbs. Her face was like a rat's when I got her 3 weeks ago from Canada (it's legal to sell 7 week old baby bunnies there).

She had gotten a chronically poopy butt within a week of her arrival & subcutaneous fluids + antibiotics + probiotics helped.

Today, she produced this poop, which is normal in size & is solid, but there are some thread like extensions. What could they be? It's 6:45 PM here & the exotic vet's clinic's closed.

She's eating hay normally & is drinking water but isn't eating Oxbow Young Rabbit pellets. She's eating Oxbow treats but not Oxbow Digestive Health Biscuits, which she otherwise likes. She has been more lethargic than usual today but binkies around when I remove her hideouts from her play-pen.

I'll take her to her vet tomorrow morning.

Would bunker-busting nukes work well?

If Iran wants nukes so badly, can't America fulfill its wish by using bunker-busting nukes on its (Iran's) remote military installations, which wouldn't harm civilians, as none live nearby for hundreds of miles?
