Got hit with a massive corp's T&Cs. Should I push back or just accept it?

Seeking advice from the agency crowd. Just got approached by a Fortune 500 conglomerate (massive DTC portfolio) for what could be a solid engagement. Revenue would be meaningful for us.

BUT their contract is brutal. A few red flags:

  • 90-day payment terms (standard, but combined with everything else...)
  • Unlimited liability indemnification — I cover their losses, they cap theirs
  • IP ownership — Anything I create is theirs forever, I can't reuse methodologies
  • One-way audit rights — They can audit anytime, I pay for it

It reads like it was written to shift all risk to suppliers. I get it, they're big, they're cautious. But this feels excessive.

My question: Has anyone else dealt with this? Did you:

  • Push back and renegotiate? (Did they actually budge?)
  • Just sign it and build the risk into pricing?
  • Walk away?

I'm a 13 person shop, bootstrapped. This deal would be great for growth but I don't want to sign something that tanks us if anything goes wrong.

Part of me wants to push back on liability caps. But I'm also paranoid they'll just say "take it or leave it" and I lose the deal entirely.

What's your playbook here?

Has anyone tried this strain? By THC design

It’s the best weed I’ve ever smoked, hands down.

Why are my heirloom tomatoes not turning red? 🍅

They’re too big to stay this green… and they get plenty of daily sunlight I live in SoCal. My other tomato types are turning red fine… especially the cherry tomatoes

EDIT: Thank you much for all your kind responses. I’ll stay patient 😂

Pit boss stopped by game after splitting 10’s

I’ve played blackjack maybe twice before this so I basically know hit/stay and that’s about it. Went with a group of friends and for most of the night they were feeding me plays like hit and stay and split and whatever since I had no clue what I was doing beyond the absolute basics.

At some point I get dealt 8s and someone tells me to split. Cool it worked out I was up a decent amount but in my head I just filed that away as pairs means split and no further logic than that lol.

Later my friends wander off to check out other tables and it’s just me at the table with this other older lady. I’m still up big. Then I get dealt 10 10. Following my genius any pair = split logic from earlier I split the 10s.

That’s when the pit boss comes over. Starts questioning me and it got weirdly tense like they basically paused the hand and it felt like they weren’t letting me touch my own chips for a minute. I’m just sitting there like this is literally my 2nd or 3rd time ever playing I don’t know what I’m doing. They looked into it for a bit then I guess concluded I was just a clueless nobody and not doing anything shady and eventually let me keep playing.

I was kinda over it after that so I just got up and cashed out and left. Anyone else had this happen?

Audi lease question

I have a question about trading in a leased Audi to a different brand dealership.

Let’s say I have an Audi leased through Audi Financial (VW Credit), and my lease ends in about 3 months. Instead of returning it to Audi, I decide to lease a Chevy from a Chevrolet dealership.

If the Chevy dealer agrees to take my Audi, what actually happens?

Do they buy the Audi outright from Audi Financial?

Or do they just pay off the remaining lease payments and return the car to Audi on my behalf?

If they buy it, does that mean I completely avoid Audi’s lease end wear and tear inspection and excess wear charges?

Has anyone here actually gone through this with Audi Financial specifically?

Just trying to understand how the process works before I start shopping around. I’d appreciate hearing from anyone who’s done this or works in dealership finance.

Thanks!

Are these mosquito bites?

I did sit outside earlier. But I also harvested zucchini and the plant was spiky and I was scratching afterwards so I’m not sure

Looking for an LA based Content Producer / Videographer / Editor for Founder Content

I'm the founder of a rapidly growing marketing agency based in Southern California. Over the last few years we've grown primarily through cold outbound and referrals but I'm now making an effort into building a personal brand and generating inbound leads through content.

I'm looking for someone in the Los Angeles area who wants to become a long term creative partner and not just an editor.

# What I'm looking for

Someone who can help with:

* Brainstorming content ideas
* Planning weekly shoots
* Filming (studio, office, outdoors, coffee shops, events, etc.)
* Editing short form content
* Repurposing long form content into multiple clips
* Motion graphics, captions, pacing, hooks, and storytelling
* Potentially helping launch and produce a podcast

# Content I'd like to create

* Day in the life of an agency owner
* Building a business
* Marketing education
* Entrepreneurship
* Client meetings and behind the scenes
* Founder thoughts and lessons learned
* Podcast interviews with founders and marketers

I'd love someone who's creative enough to say, "Let's film this," or "Here's a better way to tell that story," rather than simply waiting for instructions.

# Schedule

Ideally we'd meet once a week for a few hours and batch record enough content for the week (or longer).

# Looking for

* Based in Los Angeles or nearby
* Strong videography and editing skills
* Portfolio of short form content
* Experience growing creator or founder brands is a big plus
* Comfortable giving creative direction
* Interested in building something long term

If this sounds like you, send me your portfolio, social links, examples of creators you've worked with, your location, and how you typically structure things with clients.

Looking forward to connecting.

First timer, artichoke from seed, what happens from here?

When should I move it in ground? What should I fertilize with? When will I see artichokes?

How do you keep the damn squirrels away? 🐿️

They are just at my tree every single day. I’m losing tens and tens of apples every day and it’s so frustrating

EDIT: Thanks to everyone for their responses. I think a pellet gun it is. We’ll see what happens! I’ll report back. I like that option cause I don’t think there are too many of them around unless I’m wrong. It seems like I see the same two over and over.

[HIRING] Looking for a Graphic Designer for Website Creative Assets

EDIT: I am getting an insane amount of requests. Please forgive me if I don’t get back to you. It’s too overwhelming to respond to everyone. Thank you 🙏🏻

I’m looking for a talented graphic designer to help create a handful of creative assets for a new agency website we’re launching.

I already have the overall concept, direction, and vision mapped out, so this isn’t a blank slate project. That said, I’m looking for someone who can take the ideas and elevate them with their own creativity and design expertise rather than simply execute instructions pixel for pixel.

Ideal fit:

\-Strong portfolio of web and digital design work
\-Ability to take direction while contributing creative ideas
\-Experience creating modern, polished website assets
\-Good communication and reasonable turnaround times

If interested, please DM:

Portfolio or website

A few examples of similar work

Your rates (hourly or project based) - ideally $35-$40/hour

Looking forward to connecting with some talented designers.

Thanks

Giving Away a Babyletto Crib to Someone Who Needs It (Glendora)

Hi SGV,

I have a Babyletto crib that I’d like to give away to a family who could genuinely use it.

Long story short, when our crib was originally delivered, we assembled it and thought it had a defect because the screws on the legs appeared to be sticking outward. We contacted Babyletto and they sent us a replacement. Later we realized the original crib wasn’t actually defective and they never asked for it to be returned.

As a result I now have an extra Babyletto crib sitting in my garage. It’s a ~$600 crib, brand new aside from being assembled.

Since I didn’t pay for this one I’d rather give it back to the community than sell it. My only request is that whoever takes it actually intends to use it for their child and not flip it for resale.

I’m located in Glendora and pickup would be required.

If you’re expecting, have a little one on the way, or know a family that could truly benefit from it, send me a message and tell me a little about your situation.

EDIT: this has been picked up today by a really nice gentleman who needs it for his newborn baby daughter. Thanks everyone who reached out!

Any tips to grow them bigger? The larger ones are the ones I had pruned while growing. The smaller ones are the ones I left as is.
