I’m working on a podcast series about cultures that don’t get told on their own terms and I want to dedicate an episode (maybe more) to the Romani experience.

My exposure to Romani people has been limited. I visited Lisbon a few years back and that was genuinely my first real encounter with Romani people. That curiosity never left me and I’ve been doing a lot of reading since.

What I’m looking for is someone who’s lived it, ideally someone who has spent time in Slovakia or even in Lunik IX and who wants to talk about what life actually looks like from the inside. The stereotypes, what they get wrong, what people never ask about, what you wish outsiders understood.

I’m not here to exploit anyone’s story or package it for shock value. I want a real conversation that can shift how people think. If this reaches even a handful of listeners who walk away seeing things differently, that matters.
