I bought a NWT bra on eBay, when I received it, the fragrance was overwhelming. Likely not perfume, but possibly stored with scent beads or scented drawer liner paper.

I’m very sensitive to scents, I should have sent it back, but it was a good deal on a DC’d item, and I thought it would wash out. So far I’ve tried:

1. Washing machine, delicate cycle, Tide Free detergent, air dry.

2. Hang outdoors.

3. Hand wash, soak in Tide Free detergent, sun dry.

4. Soak in dilute vinegar, air dry.

I’m at a loss what next to try. I’m concerned about damaging the elastic fabric with anything harsher. Help?

I finally got my UK friend into TWW. She just finished watching Hartsfield’s Landing, and I mentioned the staged version done during Covidtimes. She asked if all the cast came back for it 😬 and I said “pretty much all the key people”.

Should I clue her in now about John Spencer’s death, or let it ‘play out in real time’, seeing/hearing about it as folks did when the show originally ran?

I have aluminum triple track storms that have been deteriorating, it’s time to replace them (keeping interior original double hung windows).

I decided on MonRay storms + screens for the design, and the 10yr warranty. There is only ONE company that does MonRay work, they’re 90mins away from me. I had two very good phone calls with the owner and his son, two thorough references. There didn’t seem to be any reluctance for a job out of their area.

At the end of the second call with the son, the plan was for him to check his schedule then call back to set a day/time to do exact measurements (quote was based on my close-enough measurements) and take a deposit check. It’s been over three weeks and crickets.

I still would like to do this project using MonRay storms (fyi there is no Allied installer near me either). I had a degree of confidence with the company since they do a lot of MonRay work.

Most folks around here just do replacement windows, not storms. I have concerns that using a ‘regular’ contractor who rarely (if ever) does this kind of work is a risk.

Thoughts and advice please? (FYI not possible to DIY)

I noticed that a lot of Grace’s profanity is written in old-fashioned substitutes/sanitized: ‘Gosh darn’ for ‘goddamn’, ‘oh shucks’ for ‘oh, shit’. (These are not his classroom scenes). It started me thinking that the story isn’t set in present-day, maybe in the 50s-60s when phrases like this would be more common. But the overall technology is too advanced for that period.

Also, that the memory capacity of the beetles is 5TB…seems way too small for so much scientific data storage. My PC external drive is 2TB! (But…5TB during way-back time would have been enormous).

Grace also talks about climate change/global warming to his class, so that doesn’t line up, either.

Thoughts?
