Made a lil pork tenderloin with some potatoes on the grill
Tenderloin was decent but the potatoes were amazing
Think we'll ever get the story skins?
Champion Doom is so fucking sick I need that skin
Deadlift, sumo, single rep.
Been trying to maintain strength while doing a long cut. At 160 lbs, down from 185, lifting what I was at 185. Just want to make sure that my form hasn't lapsed.
Cool tech for Party Gandalf?
Absolutely love the new [[Gandalf, Party Guest]] card from the new Hobbit set. Wizard tribal is a fun idea and cheating out big stupid spells is my favorite thing in commander. I threw together a quick build with lots of wizards that copy, draw cards, and reduce costs, a bunch of interaction, and then some big stupid spells like [[Jeskai Revelation]], [[Call Forth the Tempest]], and [[Mnemonic Deluge]]. Anyone else building this guy? What're some spicy maybe less obvious picks for him that y'all have thought of?

Leo and Raph: Compleat
I've always been a big fan of Phyrexians and especially dig the incubate mechanic. However, Phyrexian tribal and incubate are pretty jank strategies without a lot of decent commanders. Everyone suggests Brimaz but that's boring and overdone. I had a disgusting realization though. [[Leonardo, the Balance]] and [[Raphael, the Muscle]] actually work insanely well to helm this archetype. Leo buffing your board every time you incubate and giving your tokens Menace, Trample, and Lifelink is a great way to make them not terrible! Raph also makes your tokens much more powerful. Together they give you access to all 5 colors as well and let you throw in all of the cool Phyrexian good stuff. What do you guys think? Anything I left out or need to add?

Atraxa Incubate Deck
Hey! I've always loved Phyrexians and have mulled over building a Phyrexian tribal deck for a long time. Settled on Atraxa, Praetors Voice for the colors, flavor, and synergy with incubate tokens (no poison here boss). My main concern is actually being able to fully utilize the creature tokens since they are just guys with counters on them. And recommendations? This is mostly a for fun deck so I'm not trying to go crazy or anything. Mid bracket 3 is where I'm shooting.
Good brand for casual / patterned button up with short tighter sleeves?
I have this constant issue with casual and patterned button ups where it always feels like the sleeves are massive. I workout and have decently large arms. Most tshirts and polos hug my arms and feel comfortable. But every time I buy a short sleeve button up, my arms are swimming in the sleeves. Does anyone know a decent brand?
Control deck help
After building mostly midrange and combo piles, I wanted to try my hand at making a control deck. I didn't want to opt for the most obvious choice of Y'shtola and thought the new [[Doctor Doom, King of Latvia]] card would make for a thematic control commander. He seemed decent with him having a way to damage the table, innate card draw, and being in solid control colors. The idea for the deck is to use discard and some wheel effects to dig for answers and combo pieces while using the fat stack of interaction and card advantage to keep my opponents in check. In theory at least. I'm worried I just made another midrange deck just with extra interaction instead of an actual control deck. Any insight into how I can upgrade it or change it to match my vision would be greatly appreciated.
Super Sayian is overly glazed when compared to the actual greatest transformation in all of anime
Recommendation for a beginner boat?
I've been wanting to get into kayaking and have begun the arduous task of trying to find a kayak that fits my needs. I currently rent a house and have no garage but I do have a backyard that I could potentially use as storage. Live in Missouri so a decent mix of hot summers and cold winters. I'm anticipating wanting to go paddling maybe once or twice a month, probably more often in the summer and less often in the winter. I'm not expecting to want to do more than calm waters, maybe some slow moving rivers at the most. Also not wanting to break the bank on something I'm just starting to dip my toes in.
I feel like an inflatable or foldable kayak might suit my needs but from the bit of research I've done, they seem to be somewhat unreliable, less functional, and less durable so I'm hesitant to go in that direction. But the lack of a garage also makes me nervous to buy a rigid boat. Any tips or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
Video example of a control deck in action?
Little bit of a strange request here, but I'm wanting to try my hand at building and playing a control deck. However, in my mind it's hard to not imagine the play pattern just being midrange with extra efficient interaction and/or stax. I know it's not the case of course! But I was wondering if anyone had any solid video recs for a game that features someone playing a control deck well. I watch a lot of stuff like IHYD, GameKnights, Commander Clash, SUAP, etc and love watching different decks in action. I think watching something like that would give me a good sense of direction and expectation.
My bench sucks and is weak. What can I do to improve?
Been lifting for years and have made considerable progress on squats and deadlifts but my bench sucks and progression is extremely slow. Any tips?
How do I stop mourning my cat who's still alive and doing relatively okay?
I've been with my girlfriend for over 3 years now and I have gotten very close to her cat, Spooky, especially after they both moved in about a year and a half ago. He's an older cat and she's had him for a very long time. He's around 14 now. He's reasonably healthy except for some older cat stuff. He had to have several teeth removed because of feline tooth reabsorption and we recently had to put him on a prescription food that's easier for him to digest. But he's happy and he's very active. He's always waddling around screaming for more dry food (he a chonk) and he gets the zoomies still and he can get anywhere in the house just fine. But I see it in his eyes and I know in my heart that he's old. And it really hurts me. Even though he's not technically my cat. I work from home and I spend every day with him and we've always been best buddies, even before my gf moved in. And I can't help but cry and feel sad knowing my time with him is limited. I always try to be very positive around my gf since he's her cat and I don't want her to think about his age all the time. I feel foolish crying over my perfectly healthy cat and I really just want to appreciate all the time we still have left together. I know this is not a novel experience for pet owners. I just struggle talking about it.
Attached is him being spicy and smacking the camera
If it doesn't have Black, Red, or Green, I don't want it!
Don't judge the Edgar I pulled him in INR and love vamps :(
How I entered my 20s vs 10 years later[30]
I was young, anxious, overweight, couldn't drive, had no money, and had no self esteem. My life has improved so much it's hard to even think about what my life was like then. Once I stopped waiting around to better myself and started actually working on myself, everything fell into place.
Would this be considered a tie?
Had a pretty unique interaction happen tonight during a commander game. I played a [[Bringer of the Last Gift]] to dump my very full yard on the field, including a [[Gray Merchant of Asphodel]]. I had enough devotion after the mass rez to wipe the table and win. However, I also pulled a [[Plague Drone]] out of my opponents graveyard. So I would also have taken enough damage from Gary's drain to kill me. I'm pretty sure the Drone and Gary resolve at the same time and the Drones ability is a state based action and wouldn't go on the stack. So we all die and it would result in a tie correct? Or is there something I'm not seeing?
If you can understand what someone is trying to say, word choice, pronunciation, and grammar do not matter at all.
In fact, grammar used to be, and largely still is, tied to social status and education. People being needlessly pedantic or even condescending even though they understand what is being conveyed suck and are annoying.
Edit: I would like everyone to really pay attention to the fact that I called out being able to understand the person talking. It's not really a "gotcha" to bring up people's communication being unclear. That's uh. Kinda the whole point of the post.
Edit 2: This blew up more than I thought it would. The intention behind the post was primarily calling out jerks that create unnecessary conflict during every day speech. Context is important. I wasn't saying that grammar is never important. And I wasn't making this post because I'm on the receiving end of this.
Really the entire thread shows how easy it is to misunderstand someone even when everyone is communicating perfectly fine. Even when two people can understand the words being written, the intention can easily be misconstrued. I will hold firm that the entire point of language is conveying information from person to person. If you are having a conversation with someone and it is OBVIOUS what the intention behind their words is, you suck if you derail it just to point out inaccuracies in their speech. This post isn't saying that grammar and linguistic skills never matter in any context.
I haven't accomplished shit in nearly 5 years and don't know what to do
30M 5'9", started training and taking my diet seriously since around September 2021. I lifted a little bit here and there before hand but not consistently for any length of time. I feel like I'm just spinning my wheels man. I initially started out around 175 and did a large cut down to 140. I've gone through a few cycles of bulking and cutting since. I'm currently sitting at 160 lbs on the right. It feels like I'm just not growing shit for muscle. Chest is small and I feel like I look more or less the same as I always do when I'm lean. I've done multiple different routines from PPLs to Upper Lower and I've been doing 531 BBB for the last several months. My lifts have definitely improved on the program, but I feel like I have little to show for literal years of hard work. I'm just not sure what to do at this point while still staying natural
