Sorry this might be all over the place

So I took my dog for an acupuncture consultation. She was recently diagnosed with suspected ivdd and I’m taking a conservative approach to her treatment. Now one important thing to note about my dog, from the day we got her (7 years ago) to now she has consistently struggled with weight. She just seemed to never put on any weight and it constantly fluctuated.
Now I go to a vet that’s qualified in acupuncture in hopes of getting a quote on her treatment. She took one look at my dog and said she had degenerative myelopathy. Mind you 2 other vets before this lady had said she most likely has ivdd because she seems to be making a good recovery from a pyometra surgery shortly before meaning her mood was up, she was gaining weight and her overall health was improving.
Since that last visit my dog has lost weight which we’re trying to manage through high protein and things of that sort. This acupuncture vet takes one look at my dog and says that there’s no point in treating her with acupuncture because it is degenerative myelopathy and not ivdd. I kept asking her if theres any possibility that it’s genuinely ivdd and she shut the idea down multiple times tell me that there is slim chances for hope of a good quality of life. Basically saying that I should let my dog go. She based this off of the fact that my dog lost weight and that she’s lost bladder control from the very beginning of her diagnosis.
I’m hesitant to believe her for a few different reasons. She didn’t run any type of scan and just came up with this diagnosis off of these 2 presumptions. No MRIs/CTs (which I couldn’t even afford) and not very many questions on her weight history. A different location did do a standard x ray showing that their was an abnormality in the spin but since it was a standard x ray no definitive diagnosis can be given (which I’m assuming she looked at as well). I felt a little pressure to make a decision on the spot tbh. Also my dog lost the ability to walk over night which is a trait of ivdd. Degenerative myelopathy would of been a lot more gradual which was not the case. My dog was well coordinated and walking fine before. 3rd my dog still has function in her left leg where as her right leg lost more of its mobility. From my very limited knowledge, ivdd can look asymmetrical where as degenerative myelopathy may present in a more symmetrical matter.
What do you guys think? I’m still hoping to put her through acupuncture and rehab. I’m just not convinced that 2 other vets are wrong and this one vet happens to be right.

Suspected IVVD

So my dog recently had pyometra surgery. She was doing really well post op and would go on morning walks to pee. On day 5, she refused to get up and would not pee for me.
Apparently when I went for the pyometra surgery I hadn’t know that the vet had informed me of this issue. When taking an x ray for pyometra, the vet told me they say something on the spine from the x rays. (Again I was completely focused on the pyometra that I had no idea this conversation was even happening.)
Now while she’s in her recovery, I have a whole new issue to overcome and I feel so defeated. I want to rehabilitate her so she can walking again. I absolutely cannot afford surgery and I had to pull some strings to even get the pyometra surgery done. I wanna consider acupuncture, laser therapy or medication. Is there a chance she will start peeing and walking with a most cost effective method?
I have so much guilt because I still wasn’t able to help her with the surgery and now I have to put her through more. I don’t want to have to put her down and then m becoming hopeless. To make matters worse, I need to move out in a few months and she’s technically my parents dog. I won’t be able to take her with me and they’re not exactly the best pet parents. I don’t trust them to keep up with her rehabilitation process and they’re probably going to give up on her if she doesn’t gain the strength to walk again. Please guys I need help and reassurance

Post Op Pyometra

My German Shepherd (estimated 8 years old) dog just went through a pyometra surgery. She’s currently on Quellen/Carprofen, gabapentin and tribrissen. She’s been doing well with eating, drinking, urine/stool, and getting up to pee with assistance. We’re on day 5 of her recovery process and she is having a really hard time standing up. She’s still eating, drinking and alert however she’s not standing. I’m still trying to figure out how I’m gonna make her go potty if she won’t stand up for me. If she doesn’t improve in the morning I’m going to take her to the vet but I was wondering what your guys experiences have been? Can this truly be just a day where she’s feeling more sore than usual?

Just an inexperienced girl trying to figure out life

I am try to learn a figure out how to move out of my toxic house hold. After some thought, I will try to be more open about rent a room over solo living. I have 2 concerns regarding this issue tho.

  1. how do I protect myself when considering a rent a room. Like what do I do in the case of subletting or moving in with someone who’s looking for a room mate. Are my financial responsibilities owed to my roommate orrr? Do I ask to be added to the lease? Ik there are many different circumstances for rent a room and I wanna learn about all of them including a situation where I would sublet someone’s rental without the landlord knowing. Is that a thing? And how do people go about that without getting caught? Is that even a smart thing to take on? (Clearly I’m not super well versed in any of this.)
  2. I have a cat and while I’ve been lucky find rent a rooms that are open to cats I want to make sure my roommates are responsible. That means closed doors, windows and avoiding anything that would injure, harm or lose him. How do I make sure he’s safe and comfortable.
I’d love to hear your guys experiences and advice :)

HELP ME MOVE OUT

A little backstory. I come from a rough family. I’m an only child. I have a cat. I live in California. I’m 23. Anyways, my dad has repeatedly kicked me out of the house when he wants his way leaving me to go to families house for the night. I can’t keep living like this especially with school and all the things I have coming for me in my life. The abuse has gotten so bad that he refuses how to teach me how to drive of teaching me anything because he knows it keeps me under his control.
I have a credit score of 748. No rental history. And worse of all no co-signer. I just want affordable rent for me and my cat to live in so I can finally get the freedom I’m looking for. I’ve been working on saving but it’s been difficult with all these expenses coming up. I’m also hoping to get my license and car one I’m out. HOW DOES ANYONE LIVE WITHOUT FAMILY TIES?! I just wanna learn how to be independent with no outside help

I need reassurance. I might be a hypochondriac

I’m gonna start trauma dumping a little so please bear with me.
My baby Stitch is an almost 10 year old male tabby cat. He’s been neutered since I got him.

Back in December he got really sick with chlamydia. I take ownership for not taking him immediately when I knew he was sick. I was hoping he’d be able to fight off an upper respiratory. (My dad doesn’t like me spending money on my cat and starts threatening me if I do. My own money btw). One night he was super lethargic and it terrified. I took him to the ER where they diagnosed him and sent me home medication. All was well.

January comes by and one day his chain was swollen. Towards the end of the day it all deposited into his lymph node and was hard. I took him to my vet and he sent me home with medication to treat that. It took longer than expected to get the swelling down but everything ended up working out.

February comes by and I noticed him straining in the litter box. At first I had thought it was a urinary issue but then realized it was actually a stool issue after he peed a full puddle. I take him a second vet the get his lymph nodes evaluated, his urine checked, his stool check and his upper respiratory issues checked. They sent me home with the purina probiotic packets that also assist with bowl movement and advised that I integrate wet food into his diet.

APRIL my dog get vestibular disease and my stress with all my animals goes into over drive🧎🏻‍♀️.

May, my cat had these weird episode where he only got a few drops of pee out. He was still eating and drinking fine tho. Immediately that day he started peeing out normal puddles of pee💀 I still take him for a urine sample and everything comes out normal. We still treat the issue with some antibiotics just in case.

NOW IN JULY, he’s been sooo sleepy. Not lethargic but visibly more tired. He peed outside of his litter at the beginning of the month because I had to keep our outside dog in his space (4th of July). From there on he also started peeing on the very edge of the litter box. Next week after that he threw up a few times and then immediately stopped. Today, he been quiet which is weird cuz he’s a very vocal cat, he’s been pretty tired AND he peed a full puddle outside his litter box.

I’m gonna take him to the vet tomorrow but yall what do I do🧎🏻‍♀️I just want him to be fully better so I’m not worried all the time AND so I can save my money on these vet bills. Have you guys ever had predicaments like this where your constantly stressed out about your pets😢

Thrive Point Inc Fresno CA

Soooo I just did an interview with Thrive Point Inc. they claimed to be in business for 10 years but both their Instagram and Website say they’ve been active this year. I really need a summer job and no ones hiring. These marketing companies also hire oddly fast. The worse that can happen in my opinion is I waste a but of my summer working for this company when I would have been sitting around doing nothing anyway. What do you guys think? Should I go for it or is this more risky than I’m realizing?
