Added a battle log to my 3D deckbuilder as per player requests

Hello r/cardgames

Working on a massively ambitious 3D deckbuilder and wanted to share the current progress. It plays out similarly to Slay the Spire, with distinct classes and deeper mechanics. Card interactions are heavy as are the builds you can come up with. There's a lot going on in terms of status effects, artifacts, enemy variety, and environment interactions with cards.

You can break down treasure chests for loot, upgrade/transform cards, shop for potions and other powerful artifacts, and build your deck under a variety of 'archetypes'.

The demo is also available on Steam if you'd like to check it out:

Into the Crypt - 3D deckbuilder - Demo updates and insight!

I wanted to share the current state of my 3D first-person deckbuilder called Into the Crypt.

The demo dropped a week ago:
Into the Crypt demo

You get to play as Berserker and explore the first depth of the Crypt, all content in the first depth are available to explore, and the Berserker cards as well (although rarer cards are mostly found later in the game).

Stats since demo drop:

  • Wishlist count grew by roughly +1500 (70 to 100 WL per day roughly since demo release, each day consistently at the time of this posting).
  • 2830 demo downloads
  • Mostly positive reviews
  • Average playtime: 45 minutes
  • Highest player count at one time: 210
  • Several players clocked in at over 10 hours. Replayability is high!
  • Lots of support, feedback, Twitch streams and YouTube videos being posted which is thrilling to see.

I'm also updating the demo regularly as the base game updates (5 minor to major patches since last week), as I really want players to experience the game as it was meant to be experienced, full game or otherwise.

Thank you for checking it out, and I hope those that haven't experienced it yet would give it a try to see that its not 'just another deckbuilder'.

Join the Discord as well if you wish, happy to have community involvement!

Thoughts, comments, appreciated as always.

Hi everyone, so Into the Crypt is now available on Steam and part of Deckbuilders Fest!

You play through a procedurally generated Crypt, full of strange and powerful enemies, events, and treasures to discover. The game presents fresh mechanics to deckbuilding, and if you enjoy this genre I hope you'll have a blast checking my game out.

The Into the Crypt demo is finally released and also part of Deckbuilders Fest!

Hello everyone. What a journey it's been and it feels so surreal.. but here I am.

I wanted to share with you all that the demo for Into the Crypt is now out, a full 1-1.5 hour journey for you to immerse yourself in and enjoy slashing through enemies as the Berserker in this 3D Slay the Spire inspired deckbuilder.

I really hope you check it out, and share with friends and anyone out there that wants to get a sense of deckbuilding in 3D, and the numerous fresh mechanics it offers even in the demo.

If you enjoyed playing the game, consider wishlisting it and share it with others!

This is my 3D roguelike first-person deckbuilder called 'Into the Crypt'.

Playtest on Steam is coming soon if you wish to sign up:

Venture into a bizarre Crypt where tons of events, enemies, treasures, and other unknowns await you.

The game plays out like Slay the Spire with its own fresh take of mechanics, enemies, and challenges.

The events featured in the clip show choices that the player may face during their Crypt run, such as:
- risk it all choices
- minigame choices
- push-your-luck choices
- 'gain buff next battle' choices
- risk-reward choices
- punishing choices

and much more.

The game has over 50 events, with more slated/in development.
