How can I move on from this real event? It’s eating me alive and stopping me from enjoying my life (OCD related)

I’m not looking for reassurance, just advice and support. This happened a while ago and I thought I got over it, but for the past few days the memory has come back. A few months ago I came across an Instagram account of an artist who posted erotic comic strips. I was scrolling through their page and saw a drawing in which I was unsure whether or not the characters were underage. My OCD demanded certainty and I couldn’t move on until I knew for sure and if I should report it.

Panicking and not thinking logically, I posted the drawing to Reddit and asked people if the drawing was illegal. I was told that no, the drawing wasn’t illegal and to calm down. I did calm down for a little while, and I was about to delete the post when 1 person commented and told me to report it. I started panicking and deleted it straight away. What if that one person was right about it being illegal, and everyone else was wrong? I had visions of the FBI knocking on my door and arresting me for sharing it.

Anyway, this all came back to me for some reason, and I’m really scared that I’ll be arrested and sent to jail. I know logically that doesn’t make much sense and it’s extremely unlikely. But I’m just so terrified.

Men intentionally misunderstanding post partum psychosis is pissing me off

This is to do with the Lindsay Clancy case. I haven't been following this case all that much and I don't claim to be an expert on PPP. However, I feel like I'm going insane with the amount of men not even having the slightest bit of empathy for this woman. They say things like "it doesn't matter if she had a mental illness, she deserves the electric chair".

If it's true that she was going through psychosis, it quite literally wasn't her fault.

"Well, PPP is an explanation, not an excuse" Except is quite literally IS a valid legal excuse. If the court determines that she did kill her children and that she wasn't actually in control of her actions, she will be found NOT GUILTY by reason of insanity.

PEOPLE ARE NOT IN CONTROL OF THEIR ACTIONS WHEN THEY ARE EXPERIENCING A PSYCHOTIC EPISODE. I'm so fucking tired of people acting like a woman (UNCONTROLLABLY) harming her child while experiencing PPP is the exact same as Ted Bundy just because the same activity was involved. It's fucking ridiculous. Intent is SO important during a murder trial. These people wouldn't argue that killing in self defence warrants the same punishment as someone who killed an innocent person just for shits and giggles.

Also, if Patrick was the one who killed those babies and Lindsay was the one who found them dead, they would absolutely not be defending her like they are with Patrick. She'd be called a slut and an unfaithful whore for remarrying 4 months after seeing her 3 children murdered. Let's be so fr.

I hate street interviews where they ask women to rate themselves.

These interviews only exist so that people in the comments can “humble” the confident women, and praise the women who rate themselves lower than 5.

I feel sick to my stomach. These men know absolutely nothing about this woman and are making up stories to try and justify why her husband murdered her.

I find absolutely no joy in social interaction and I hate being around people

I’ve always been like this. As a kid I presumed I’d grow out of it as an adult but nope. I genuinely do not enjoy being around anyone. Not because I’m socially awkward or anything, I can carry a conversation just fine, but I find being around other people so painfully boring. I hate social gatherings, everyone just sits and talks. What’s the point? I was at a family barbecue today and I was so bored it was actually painful.

I have friends who I like, but I don’t like spending time with them. Whenever someone asks to catch up over coffee or something, it doesn’t matter how interesting, funny, kind, etc they are or how much we have in common, I don’t want to go. If I have to meet up with someone next week, I won’t be able to focus on anything else for a week because I’m dreading meeting up with them.

I don’t like how I am tbh. I’m way more than just an introvert, I actively try and avoid people at all costs. I don’t hate people, I just hate the boredom that comes with being around them. I was bullied really badly in school and it actually made me happy because it was something amusing to distract me from the boredom.

I’m so confused on what files to download for the Blowtorch mod! I only want to blowtorch Willow Creek at the moment, but I don’t mind if it strips other worlds too.

I’m planning on making a medieval save. What files should I download if I want to blowtorch Willow Creek? I’ve watched so many tutorials but I can’t figure it out. Nothing’s working for me!

This keeps popping up whenever I try to load the game. It’s been hours and it still won’t work. Does anyone know what could be causing this?

Question about CAS

There is a sim that I really want to download from the gallery (she's a young adult), but I want to start the gameplay when she's a child.

But in CAS when I downloaded her, I switched her to a child and then back to a young adult to see if she would look the same as she did as a young adult in the gallery, but she looked completely different.

Is there a way I can download an adult from the gallery, switch them to a child, and then when they grow up they look exactly like they did on the gallery?

Idk if this made much sense, I tried explaining it the best I could lmao, I'd love some advice!

What girl names give off a whimsical fantasy vibe without being too obvious?

For example, the name Hermione is always going to be associated with Harry Potter. What female names do you think give off more subtle fantasy vibes that won’t be connected with fictional characters?

I've been suffering from OCD since I was about 5, but I've never had the contamination theme. But for the past couple of days since the news of the Hantavirus, I've been washing my hands so much that they've become raw, having more than three showers a day and avoiding touching things that other people have touched.

I'm so scared. I know I'm probably overreacting but I'm absolutely terrified of me or my loved ones getting this virus and becoming sick/dying. If I have even the slightest bit of pain or nausea, I panic thinking I'm going to spread the disease to my family, coworkers or friends.

Has anyone else been going through something similar? No reassurance please.

I (F21) have been dating a guy (M39) for 2 months and honestly, we’re a great match. We have similar interests, values, goals, etc. I was attracted to him as soon as we met, and that attraction has only grown.

I told my friend about him and while she seemed happy for me, she also seemed really weird about the fact that he’s 39. She didn’t really go into much detail and the only real criticism of our relationship was that it seemed “a bit icky”.

Now I’m kind of having second thoughts, but at the same time, I really really like him, and he seems to feel the same way about me. I truly believe we could have a future together despite our age gap. Idk, I’m sort of at a loss of what to do. He’s super respectful of my boundaries and doesn’t pressure me to do anything. All his other relationships have been with women his own age, so it’s not like he’s specifically pursuing me because I’m young.

I created a new TikTok account yesterday, and when I tried to search for it on my other account, it doesn’t show up. Does it take a while for a new account to be visible to others? Thanks!

An actual example of someone’s actions being an explanation but not an excuse would be if someone got bullied in school, and he shot up his class (as this happens too often). It’s an explanation (he was bullied) but it doesn’t in any way excuse him for killing his classmates.

When John Davidson, a man with Tourette’s, shouted the N word at two Black men during the BAFTAs, people were saying “his Tourette’s are an explanation, not an excuse”. I’m so confused because it literally IS an excuse. He physically can’t control his tics. His Tourette’s are both an explanation AND a completely valid excuse for what took place.

I see this all the time with mental illnesses. People saying things like “your mental disorder doesn’t excuse someone from doing/saying something wrong”, which to an extent I agree. But I believe that it should only apply to people who physically could have controlled their actions. If people CAN control their bad actions, then it’s not an excuse. If they CAN’T control their actions, it is an excuse, like Tourette’s. People with Tourette’s can’t physically control it. Many people who experience schizophrenia and psychosis can’t control their actions, so it is unfair to hold them accountable.

Idk if this makes much sense but yeah.
