You may recoll I had a long fang day Sir Jerry was planning to steal. Meowmy and pawpaw took me to the pokey place for de toofy exam. When I was doing the good sleeps and getting my teefies done, the pokey people discuberred I have a disease where mine body reapsorbs and breaks down my teefs. Is called somefing like stomachitis.

Because my dumb dumb body trying to betray me and steal mine teef, I hads to have 12!!!!! teef remoobed. The bad news is that it not a fun time. The good news is pokey people said I will feel betters soon AND Meowmy gib Churu and yum yum soupy wet food.

(My poor sweet man. 😭😭😭 He’s not a happy camper right now, but I know he’ll be better in the long run. Last night he came out and ate a churu with his pill crushed in it and went back under the furthest corner of the bed. 😭)

(Thank you again for being such awesome people during this time. 💜💜💜 I’m so glad he’s home. He’s got some limited use of his arm, so he’s taking it easy the next few days. He wants to try and go into the office on Friday so we’ll see how it goes. Thankfully we work right by each other so I can drive him to and from.)

Dis bit of long story so we awpologize. Meowmy and pawpaw were go to NYC to do a trip wif himbs family. Meowmy did abandon a little early acoz her fambly live in NYC and she want spend time with them. Pawpaw was go on Monday.

On Saturday pawpaw wake up and have BAD PAIN in Himbs arm and elbow area. He try do patch, take pill, take hot shower. It still hurt bad. Meowmy worry because she in NYC and far far away from Florduh.

Pawpaw finally go to ER because it hurt too much. They do many many test acoz he hab somefing call sepsis in de past. Turns out he hab infextion in himbs arm and they admit him to hospital.

Meowmy say they no no if he need surgery or not yet and she do a big worry becoz she far. Dey gibs pawpaw da gud drugs to sleep and she and he will talk when he wake up.

So if you cud do healing purrs and crossed paws for our pawpaw please and for poor meowmy’s nerbs!

I wanted to update this situation because you were all so helpful in recommending things and boosting the post.

Long story short: The state is building a new fishing pier and it will go right through the rocky area the cats live.

Our org recently connected with a woman who rescues pelicans and other birds who now has an animal shelter space. She is willing to let our cats live in the catio spaces at the shelter! I’ll post photos below!

This is the best news because we can keep the colony together, they’ll be much safer and it’s a beautiful, quiet and peaceful place.

Who would have thought this story would have the headline “Birds Save Cats!”
