At what year does the series takes place?

I read the manga all the way to chapter 1440 assuming it was early to mid 90's. But then on chapter 1441 twitter was mentioned, which doesn't exists until 2006. Now I'm guessing it's "atemporal" and just takes place in whichever year the volume was released.

I'd like to know if this advice is good

Basically I like to think that I have a really good float serve. Specially since other guys where I play send me the beginners for tips on serving and in a good day I can carry a set with it in intermediate to advanced level games. I try to explain how I do it, but it always boils down to me explaining how I practice and how I learnt.

The thing is, most of the people that I explained still have difficulties when serving.

What I say is: "start by learning the basic standing float that everyone does (the one with the hitting hand starting beside the head) and I say that the most important thing in this phase is always throwing the ball at a consistent height to help with the timming and ideally avoid hitting "behind" the shoulder (heard it prevents pain later on from my 1st coach and I do not have shoulder pain now NOT MEDICAL ADVICE THO). As you get more used to this, you can try to develop your own "serving style" and evolve from there."

I like to believe it's good advice because it's what I focused the most on when I was learning. But results with others say otherwise.

So, from more experienced players/coaches, is my advice good for the beginners or it just happened to work for me? Just want to know so I can actually try to help newer players

My ultimate 2c doesn't connect with the dongle any

Last week my ultimate 2c controller accidentally fell to the floor. Since then I can't connect it to my pc with the dongle anymore. Using a usb c cable still works. Yes, I checked the switch in the back.

I'm afraid it's a hardware issue (due to the fall), but is there anything I can try in the software side of things?
