The first thing I thought of when I saw this on r/funny. You know this person wouldn't tip or it was like $2 lmao.

PSA! DO NOT call phone numbers provided by AI until you search for them to validate their authenticity.
I was talking to Gemini about how to check on my Citi credit card application because there was an error mid-registration. It provided me a scam number it told me was the official Citi credit card application Status Line phone number (1-888-201-4501--scam, do not call). I told Gemini it was a scam, and it actually argued with me initially, until I told it never to suggest that again and clarified the number it gave me was a scam. I then asked it for that phone number in another conversation, asked what the number was, and it had no recollection. Was it trained to give that scam number accidentally or intentionally? My partner is a machine learning research scientist and he agrees Gemini is horse crap.
It was a slightly longer conversation. I have noticed Gemini hallucinates more when the conversation is extended, to the point that I'll restart conversations when it starts misspelling things or if I feel the information it's giving me is incorrect.
Anyway, a man with an Indian/Punjabi accent asked for all my personal information when I called at 4 am, including asking for my card information to verify me. I asked why and he repeated, "For verification to get you to the service team," a couple of times with increasing frustration that probably matched mine. "But that doesn't make sense," I said, and he muted for a moment (probably cursing in first language), then told me to call 1-800-922-4226 (do not call; I never did).
Interestingly, that phone number has a single Google result that is kind of weird because it leads to a blank Blogger page that leads to another Google result that discusses how to get people's information with their phone number. The original number Gemini told me to call, 1-888-201-4501 (scam, do not call--this was reported both in the conversation and to the feds), looks very similar to Citi Bank phone numbers, including the real status line phone number. I'm providing the phone numbers for informational purposes in case anyone wants to try to recreate this and catch them. Thanks babes. 🖤 Stay safe out there.

What do you all think of using long introductory offers to consolidate and manage debt, like through balance transfers? Does anyone have experience or suggestions concerning this or related cards? I was looking into personal loans, but this seems simpler and less expensive.
My $1400 CareCredit account (for the vet) just passed the 0% APR period, and it has a really high interest rate of like 30%, so I am looking to switch it over, as I got laid off and was unable to pay it off right away.
Limits: I recently got the Wells Fargo Reflect card with a $13,000 limit and the Citi Diamond Preferred card with an $11,000 limit. I have a 750 credit score, 7 years of credit history, and 30% utilization rate across all credit cards. I will not be getting more any time soon. When I did a balance transfer, my credit score got a boost, I think because the credit utilization ratio improved. I wanted to let everyone know Citi is sometimes willing to give higher limits. I was afraid I'd only get $5,000. Another customer with slightly longer credit history got approved for $15,000. I've seen some really low limits from Citi too, like someone else got $500 within a year ago.
Rewards: Wells Fargo Reflect has very high rewards offers, like $20 at Chewy and 30% back at Sam's Club. Citi Diamond Preferred has no rewards; I might not even carry it with me once I do the CareCredit balance transfer. DiscoverIt has a less savory quarterly rotating cash back incentive program, despite boasting 5% back.
Repercussions: The biggest downside is that opening new lines of credit has dropped my score quite a bit. I did unfortunately have a missed payment for the first time ever, but my score was initially 819 before I started churning last year. It's still at/near the top credit tier at 751, but it bothers me regardless. I shouldn't have closed DiscoverIt last year; I was too impatient and it reduced my average age for lines of credit. So, don't close your cards, friends! Any cards I later stop using (once the 0% APR intro period ends) will be held onto indefinitely, locked, and only used once every 3-4 months for specific rewards, especially the Wells Fargo Reflect card.
Rewards Cards: If you're not looking for balance transfers and just want rewards, I recommend your favorite grocery store's card if it offers 5% back. It feels like I'm throwing money away if I just use a debit card. My OG is AmEx Everyday Cash Rewards. Chase Prime Visa from Amazon has equally good offers; they both have Disney+ rewards. But you need to set a reminder to check them monthly because they expire periodically. Chase Total Checking is also doing $400 back after $1000 in deposits within 90 days, must have direct deposited $500/mo to avoid $12/mo fee, no clawback upon account closure. Free money for anyone struggling to make ends meet!
I’ve never seen this before. It was at 5:30 pm on Sunday. I think it might’ve been a beta feature they tried out. I earned $90 in 4 hours, declined a ton of orders.
If anyone else had this, I’d love to see how much $$$ yours said. It seems like a lot of people had different maps Sunday night.
Edit: It is back to normal, showing 4 minutes between offers at 4 am. DoorDash, if you're reading this, we still need to see average wait time. We like this feature, but we need both, so please enable us to be successful by including this dollar amount range as well as an estimated offer wait time; maybe an ability to toggle between the two if anything. Wait time is more important for established Dashers, while dollar amount is more important for new Dashers.

For my fellow drivers and couriers of all sorts, what's your scariest horror story? Anything from ghost pins and vacant houses, to fraud, to asking you to come in!
I'm including everyone because I would like to raise awareness so that drivers trust their guts in bad situations to stay safe. I've heard a lot of horror stories lately about couriers who are asked to come inside as DoorDash drivers when it's not a safe situation. A lot of people ignore the warning signals that go off before they're in a dangerous situation, so trust your gut! Your life isn't worth a $30-40 tip, which is a suspicious amount.
I'm the type who would go inside to leave the elderly woman food. And that's exactly who bad people prey on. I love seeing good Samaritans and just good people in general, but times are really scary, and I think safety is really critical, especially at night. This is our job. We're not doing this purely for charity. We have family / friends who rely on us and need us. This goes for rural small towns as well as big cities. If you really want to help someone and find it hard to leave--stop! Think outside the box first as to how you can help, but don't go inside. Don't go to remote areas and ghost pins late at night.
Do you have any particular advice for safety, like carrying mace, etc.? ⚠️🔦 Personally, I recommend having AAA Plus, so you get free towing. Above all, have (a) a large flashlight with new batteries / freshly charged, (b) a jump starter, and (c) a tire inflator. A tire patch kit like Slime is good for temp fixes. Make sure you also have (d) a spare tire in your trunk, more importantly, so AAA can put it on for you for free. Getting stranded in remote areas can be extremely dangerous nowadays, and a lot of horror stories come from that as well.
I haven't had any so far, but once I had a delivery at 10:30 pm on a very dark road. Suddenly I realized, standing outside their door with darkness on each side of me, that I needed to be aware of my surroundings because someone could sneak up. Not delivering so late anymore!
Thanks in advance, y'all, for your stories and tips! 🌙🐺 Be safe out there! 🧡

Does anyone have any cat litter alternatives they'd like to share?
Personally, I've tried a lot of various cat litter alternatives that are less expensive than, for example, Tidy Cats. I landed on pine litter shavings. What's key is that they are kiln-dried for safety, and the packaging will identify this. I suggest the brand Vibrant Life at Walmart, pet shops, and stores like Tractor Supply or Rural King.
Aspen litter is even safer. Cedar has more oils than pine, so I suggest pine or aspen shavings. Pine is really soft, and so far he has seems to like it. I've had a ton of hamsters and gerbils in the past, and aspen is the only common wood bedding that's safe for them, if that helps you make a decision. When I had horses, we used pine shavings in this size bag, which is $7-8.
I really adore my baby like my own child, and I wanted something without a lot of cancer-causing ingredients for him, especially since he's FIV+. I absolutely could not afford scoopable litter, plus it didn't quite suit my lifestyle. Dumping it 2x a week is much easier, he gets a ton of litter for stimulation, it smells nice, and one bag lasts like 2-3 months at least. I add like 4-5" and press it down so his feet don't sink.
I hope this helps someone! I know it won't help everyone, and it does come with vacuuming. There's probably less litter loss overall, but the occasional pine shaving is more visible. I vacuum when I clean the litterbox, or every other time if I'm busy. But it's a lot less expensive!
Is there anything in particular that inspires you to go play Skyrim? Something as simple as elves and fairies, or something more complex? A specific place, feeling, or event? And do you go play afterward, or not always?
For me, it happens when I'm on nature walks, shopping for fancy cheese, passing legs of meat at Costco lmao, and even picking out apples. Even going to Disney Springs makes me want to play. As well as any kind of historical drama show/film, or documentaries on Vikings.
I truly feel like the game has improved my quality of life and creativity. My kitchen is covered in produce that reminds me of the game. Does anyone else do that? 😆 If I'm overwhelmed by the news, I try to think like an Argonian or Nord might, as they would be reasonable and sound-minded about critical thinking and making purchases in the modern day real world if one were suddenly planted here lol.
We might not be able to wield axes in public, but does anyone collect such Skyrim-esque weapons? Or other Skyrim objects / lifestyles? Most of the time I don't even go play it because something else would demand my attention! But Skyrim is always in the back of my mind!

Hey all! For those of you familiar with the frozen Gardein line of vegan/vegetarian meat products in a WHITE bag, they are being phased out at Publixes in Orlando (at least). They are marked Clearance but they are still regular price, confirmed verbally. A manager told me they're being phased out the other night. As for Walmart, I cannot find them at any Walmart store in the huge Orlando metropolitan area, even by Disney.
It appears supply is changing and focusing more on chicken nuggets. :( Not my go-to. At Walmart, I also can't find refrigerated Tofurky lunch meat or chick'n seitan bits (light blue package) anymore, sadly. I want to be able to make a sandwich! Only Publix has them (Southern grocery store), and they're naturally jacked up since it's a pricey store. At least Walmart here still has the refrigerated hot dogs.
Some health food stores also have all of these stll, and I assume they will continue to have the white-bagged Gardein frozen items. I'm just disappointed about pricing and lack of sales anymore. They used to have sales at Publix sometimes, and Walmart had a lower price on them.
I'm particularly heartbroken because I adore the fishless filets. Does anyone know of an alternative? Does Trader Joe's have good fake meat alternatives? Would love suggestions, but I really love this line in the white bags! The black bag's tenders are a bit too thick in my opinion, although I'm sure some people love them! I will try the nuggets.
Note: This isn't my image because of this issue. :( <3 I read the parent company is adjusting its line of products.
Pictured: Gardein fishless filets
Vegan tartar sauce recipe: any vegan mayo, pickle relish
And then you frolick down a path, only to be attacked by a group of frost trolls.
Disclaimer: I do not condone stealing IRL lmao. Thankfully the Bannered Mare isn’t going to build a felony case against my Dragonborn over several years.
Hello all! I'm trying to establish a good Dashing strategy in east Orlando. My first week, I Dashed with pay-per-trip. I was fully experimenting and not hard on myself, and I leaned into it heavily. I learned to decline certain orders, and now I do $1-2/mile only. I live directly by UCF, so that is my zone usually. Yes, college students with small tips on most orders. Lake Mary/Sanford is better, but I'm not sure if it's worth the drive, and it has peak pay less; it's usually 11:30-1:30 am. I'm female, there are a lot of dark complexes, and I feel unsafe working past 10 pm. I work during peak pay hours mostly. I rushed more than I am comfortable with during the first week.
Week 1 (pay-per-trip):
Tuesday + weekend w/ peak pay for some of it
$424
20 hours active
30 hours Dashing
58 deliveries
That is ~$14/hr :( (low-key v depressing and I want to fix this)
Last week, I was very busy, but I switched it to hourly to see which is better. I'm very sorry this is not a larger sample size, but it does average to the same pay, so I'm curious if I should do pay-per-trip. I tried to do longer orders and drove a little over the speed limit lol.
Week 2 (hourly $14-16/hr):
Weekend w/ peak pay
$70
3.5 hours active
5.5 hours Dashing
10 deliveries
~$13/hr
Current Stats:
Platinum
Acceptance 81% (is this too high? should I cherry pick and lose Platinum?)
Completion 99% (Red card issue that has been fixed)
On-time 100%
Quality 100%
Customer rating 5/5
68 orders total (I'm very new to this!)
For those in the same market or a similar one, do you recommend doing hourly or per trip? Or does it depend on time of day and week? I will be working again this weekend to experiment with this. I even tried to ask AI, and I don't think it has any idea what it's talking about.
I was previously in insurance sales before I was laid off, so I'm wondering if I'm focusing too much on stats, and just need to cherry pick and lose Platinum status? Thank you in advance for your feedback! :) Have a great week, everyone!
TL;DR: Orlando pay-per-trip or hourly? Peak hours.
What are your favorite tips and best practices for keeping a low budget with beauty and hygiene?
For example, my favorite low-cost makeup brand is Essence. I like to buy my Dove antiperspirant in packs on sale on Amazon. I find that Tresemme has a good, movable hairspray. I get the "expensive" Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation and Jane Iredale SPF powder on eBay. I spend more when it matters, but I don't use them in excess. Huge fan of Cerave for skincare; CVS tends to have coupons.
When trying to achieve a new look, I no longer buy multiple items at once to try because it doesn't all get used.
What hair bleach does everyone use? I recently had success with Schwarzkopf BlondMe. Struggling with shampoo as well because each product seems to have some sort of controversy lmao.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions! :)
Bonus Tip: You can use an HSA card for tax-free purchases of SPF products, even makeup like Jane Iredale, as well as menstrual products. Look into all the things you can get with an HSA card. I suggest doing that to avoid taxes where you can and contribute the max. That avoids sales tax and income tax on the purchase.
I've become so obsessed with the lore in Morrowind that I'm going to try it as an adult for the first time.
https://www.gog.com/en/game/the_elder_scrolls_iii_morrowind_goty_edition
Is this (above) the best version of Morrowind to purchase? It is The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind GOTY Edition for $7.49 as of 6/9/26.
Are Nexus Mods and morrowind.nexusmods.com the best mod sources? This will be my first experience modding a PC game. I'm coming from PS5.
Before adding other mods, I planned to first download Morrowind Code Patch, MGE XE (Morrowind Graphics Extender), and Patch for Purists. I might use the "Morrowind# (Sharp)" guide to help get me started. I'm not a sleuth with load order yet.
I'd love suggestions for your favorite Easter Egg tutorials, especially for the beginning of the game!
Cozy build concept needing recommendations: Nord female, custom class, combat specialization, favoring endurance and agility, The Lady birthsign. Major skills: long blade, heavy armor, block, restoration, armorer.
Graphics: I use Windows 11 and have a decent graphics card, so I think it will run okay on my PC with basic mods. For heavy modding to make it look great, do I need to replace the game's original engine with OpenMW?
First, my apologies if this is at all off-topic.
Has anyone both felt a paranormal presence and also experienced some sort of NHI or UAP encounter? I'd love to know if anyone has experienced both at different points in their life, and your stories, in case there is a pattern.
I've felt a ghost presence at age 7 and found out someone died in the home in Illinois. As an adult, I saw a black hollow-triangle UFO in broad daylight 3-4 miles away, 1-2 miles in the sky, in Central Florida above a hospital in June 2021 during COVID, the week many people were dying in Italy. It was the day after UFO Awareness Day, I later found out. I don't know why I saw it and no one else did. I couldn't sleep properly for years and still struggle some nights.
I am interested to see if there is a correlation for the general public.
