I’m a salaried employee, falls under ITR-2 for Capital gains and Mutual Funds.
My salary is about 15LPA. And the tax liability comes around 1.01L
Unfortunately, I have no NPS to exempt a little amount.
And the total tax paid is less than the actual, so I have to pay 6.3K more.
Is there a way I can save some money in the new regime?
FYI: After all the HRA, CG, Insurance, LIC, EE-NPS, the tax is 2.25L in old regime. So, no, can’t go with the old regime.
This is one of the best biryani I have ever made. The rice was well cooked and the taste of cashews and fried onions😘😘. The salt was bit less though.

It has been almost a year now. My friend suggested a playlist and asked me to listen to it. The playlist was 'Kurangan'. I heard one or two and skipped.
Later, sometime, I happened to listen to 'Frangipani'. A month or two later, my sister died. 'Frangipani' hit so hard. I would have listened to that song almost 10-15 times before my sister was gone. I would just listen and pass by. But after that, I break every single time. Just one stanza from it.

I was doing my taxes and after lots of Gemini'ing, I still have to pay 6,300 rupees extra tax. The total tax liability comes to 1L (New regime). And the interesting part is that's my one-month salary. Or I could pay for my brother's education for a year.
It's like I worked for both the corporate and the government for free.
I don't spend much; it mostly goes to FD, MF, and my brother's education fees. It's so frustrating that this ITR sh*t is making me go nuts.
12L has become the base salary for ITs I'm seeing these days for entry-level associates.
