What ends up happening is the individual store goes into "shrink" which is when they have more financial loss than gain and then the store gets shut down because it can't run anymore without money. The employees you're fighting for, their hours get cut meaning their wages are too and then they get fired. They get written up for BS they haven't done because of this as well and then one by one, each employee is laid off, fired, or quits and then is forced into unemployment. This is effectively just as harmful to the cause as buying from those fast fashion companies making you a BIG FAT POSER! And for the young adults glorifying this to teens and tweens as a rogue type thing, you've got some growing to do. Being an alternative person doesn't mean being an enemy of the law. It means love and respect and fighting for those who can't fight for themselves. If you don't hold those values true to yourself, you can't be alternative; you're just an oversized edgy tween.
