Blood of Dawnwalker doesn't force a traditional quest order

This is where Dawnwalker differs from a lot of open-world RPGs.

You aren't simply given:

Main Quest → Side Quest → Main Quest → Final Boss.

You can make your own priorities and decide which problems deserve your limited time.

How big do you think the Dawnwalker map is going to be?

I’m really curious to see how massive this world ends up being. The 30-day system, no-horse traversal and heavy focus on day-and-night mechanics tell me they might be prioritizing a world that feels alive rather than one that’s simply enormous. That’s exactly what I want. If locations actually matter, react to you, and feel deliberately crafted, I’ll take that over another bloated open world with miles of pointless space without hesitation.

Golden Shield Location in Crimson Desert

The Golden Shield is easily one of the best-looking shields in the game. It matches the Golden Greed Armor Set perfectly, giving your character a clean and stylish look. As a bonus, it's a great choice when exploring hot regions like Tomasso and Varnia.

In Blood of Dawnwalker - Day and Night Are Almost Two Different Games

Day
In the daytime, you play as a human. You'll fight with a sword, interact with NPCs, complete some quests peacefully, and recover health by eating food.

Night
Once the sun goes down, everything changes. You become a vampire, swap your sword for deadly claws, teleport using Shadowstep, move across walls and ceilings, feed on humans or animals, and unlock areas that stay out of reach during the day.

Assassin's Creed Shadows completely misses what made synchronization so satisfying

Climbing a viewpoint should reward you with useful map information, but instead you're stuck manually tagging everything afterward. That extra step feels unnecessary and breaks the flow of exploration. Older Assassin's Creed games made every synchronization feel rewarding, while Shadows turns it into a chore instead of an exciting moment

Blood of Dawnwalker - The 30-Day Timer Explained Better

The game's time limit isn't as strict as many players expected.

You can spend hours exploring, fighting, and wandering the world, and the timer won't move. It only advances when you complete quests, accept specific missions, level up, or make important story progress.

That means you can take your time discovering the world instead of feeling pressured to rush through everything.

Let's be honest—how many hours have you already spent playing Crimson Desert?

On average, players who own the game have logged about 60 hours. Among those who have beaten the story, that number jumps to 154 hours and Platinum trophy hunters average 185 hours. So, how many hours have you put into the game?

How do you feel about BODW making your delays come back to haunt you with darker consequences?

Blood of Dawnwalker constantly puts you in tough "lesser of two evils" situations by making time a limited resource you can never get back. If you run out of time, the game doesn't simply throw up a "Game Over" screen. Instead, the world changes permanently, and you're left to face the lasting consequences of every delay.

If you could add one feature from another popular game to Blood of Dawnwalker, what would you add, and why?

I'd remove quest map markers, similar to how Elden Ring handles them. It would encourage players to explore the world, investigate clues, and figure things out on their own instead of simply following a marker.

If you had the chance to improve Crimson Desert by changing just one thing, what would you pick, and why?

I would change the story to make Kliff more emotional so players can care about him more. I want players to feel connected to him, just like many people did with Arthur Morgan in RDR2.

All Four Vampire Lords in Blood of Dawnwalker

Ambress is the youngest of the vampire lords and is widely seen as the weakest among them. Turned only recently, he comes into conflict with Coen and pushes back against being used as nothing more than a pawn in Brencis’s larger schemes.

Xanthe is one of the most powerful vampire lords in the region, holding a prominent place within its vampiric aristocracy.

Bakir is portrayed as a ruthless and highly ambitious vampire with a Mongol-inspired backstory, often likened to a vampiric version of Genghis Khan. Some pieces of lore also hint that he may be heading toward a betrayal arc involving Brencis.

Brencis is the main villain of the story. He was once a Roman senator who was born in AD 131. After becoming a vampire, he lost his place in society and fell very low. But he still wanted power. Now, he rules Vale Sangora very cruelly and makes humans pay a terrible blood tax.
