I’m a white female wanting to travel to Dehradun. How safe is it?

I’ve read a lot of different things about safety and criminal activity in Dehradun. I want to solo travel here as an English white female (I don’t speak Hindi)

How safe is it? Could I realistically do this on my own or would you recommend against it

Also if anyone teaches Hindi online to English speakers please let me know

Rabbit heatwave - what works for me

my rabbits are free roam inside. If you have an outdoor rabbit, please bring it inside. No animal should be caged outside in this heat. Have it penned inside with a fan facing directly into the penned area.

I put a wet dish rag in the fridge and every hour (I’m fortunate to work from home) I pat my rabbits down with this rag. Mostly over their heads and ears. They love it and wait patiently when they hear my coming with it

I moved them into the only north facing room I have and I have a fan dedicated to the rabbits. I end up spending most of my day in this room because it’s cool

I regularly offer them refrigerated food (herbs, beans) throughout the day

I put ice cubes in their water which melt throughout the day but keep the water nice and cool

I use ice packs which they don’t tend to lay on but will always lay near

I use a tile than was left over from our kitchen reno, only one of my buns use this but he seems to love the coolness of it

I am close to shaving both of them (on advice from my vet). One is a lion head and has a thicker coat than his bunwife

Hope some of these suggestions help some struggling bunnies

How much supervision do you receive each month

I’m a qualified psychotherapist in practice for 10+ years. I live in a country where supervision is a mandatory part of regulation. We are expected to receive 1.5 hours a month. I personally find supervision so helpful that I am currently “overdosing” on it. I receive 1.5 hours of group supervision a month, and 4 hours of individual supervision.

One of the most helpful supervision relationships I currently have is with the author of my absolute favourite book (he wrote exclusively about attachment), I feel very lucky to meet with him twice a month

I am curious what other therapists are doing supervision wise

Been bleach blonde for too long. Need to go back brown. Which colour suits me best

Sorry no front photo. The other side of my face is paralysed and I’m too embarrassed to put a front facing photo up. I also realise it will take some time to get back brown but I’d like to know what I should aim for

Thanks

AIO being upset my partner is continuing investment plans with brother but we’re pregnant

I posted a few days ago with screenshots but deleted the post. I’ve since had a conversation with my partner and feel like I’m going crazy. Just need some advice about whether my uncertainty about the pregnancy and relationship are valid.

Background. I’m pregnant (very early days). My partner has investment plans with his brother that I thought he would change now that we are pregnant. These plans involve buying a house under a scheme where they get money towards a deposit. You have to live on the house for three years and their plan is to sell the house after three years and benefit from the gifted deposit. He said that we could live there, which I wasn’t keen on because I’d be contributing towards a mortgage that isn’t mine, he suggested I could buy a place of my own and he would live there/ contribute financially or we could rent somewhere for three years until him and his brother can sell the house. I have a problem with all of these options. Mostly I have I problem with not feeling prioritised in building something securely together when I’m pregnant with his child.

The challenge is, I have told him that this makes it feel really scary to step into motherhood with him and he’s doubled down on the investment idea. Reinforcing that he will be going ahead with it and that he has a problem with the fact that I’m so fixated on us having a mortgage together now and can’t just wait three years for that to happen.

I’m so confused. I’m not sure if I’m right to want him to buy with me/ for our child or if the pregnancy hormones are blurring my perspective and that waiting three years isn’t a big deal. Please be kind I’m struggling with prenatal depression and already being hard enough on myself

I assumed my partner would change his investment plans now I’m pregnant.

Partner has had a plan to go through some government scheme to get on the housing ladder with his brother. They give you a certain amount towards a deposit on a new build. He has only had a mortgage approved with his brother so far, they haven’t been approved for the scheme nor have they even started looking at houses to purchase. So legally he’s not tied into anything.

Meanwhile, we have been doing long distance for the last six months or so and I’m in the process of moving back to our home town where he lives. In my most recent trip, I got pregnant (still very early days, approx 7 weeks). I naturally assumed that with this change, we would start looking for a house to buy together. We both have an our own decent deposits but neither one of us can afford to buy on our own.

Instead, his plan is to continue with this investment plan with his brother where they sell the house after 3-4 years (which isn’t what the scheme is set out for anyway, it’s to help family’s get out of rental traps and you’re expected to live there for three years minimum).
I’ve told him that this surprises me, that it makes me feel uncertain/ scared about our future. He’s suggested three options, 1) we move into the house and live there with his brother (and a new born) which essentially means I’d be helping pay a mortgage I have no equity in, 2) I buy somewhere and he rents from me/ pays toward the mortgage - fine except I can’t afford a mortgage as a singleton in the banks eyes, 3) we rent.
None of these options are sitting very comfortably with me but I can’t tell if that’s the pregnancy hormones or a justified discomfort. Please help!

AIO reconsidering having a baby with my boyfriend

I’m pregnant (very early days). We’ve been long distance with the plan for the last year or so for me to move back to our home country together.

I’m hormonal and struggling with prenatal depression. Spiralling and anxious about things that prior to the pregnancy, didn’t seem like a big deal.

The first message starts after a phone call where I told him I’m concerned about my mental health and on my way to the dr. He wrapped up the phone call by saying “have fun”. I know I sound super short with him over text and I blame that on the depression, I’ve been selectively mute and unable to talk without bursting into tears. It’s really doing a number on my mental health and I’ve been struggling with fleeting suicidal ideation (no plans).

The next phone call (after he asks if my calls are done), I told him that him continuing buying a house as an investment with his brother makes me question if I can go through with the pregnancy. I genuinely thought the plan would change now we are pregnant, we both have a decent deposit but can’t afford to buy alone. His plan is to buy this place with his brother and we rent somewhere, which just feels like me and his baby are second priority. He is also way too comfortable being poor which I’m reading as him evading any financial responsibility- putting the burden on me because “he set expectations from the get go”. Please help me. I don’t know if I’m reacting reasonably to this situation but I genuinely am second guessing if I should be having a baby with this guy or not.

Edit: those of you saying I’m not capable of being a mother, not mentally well enough etc - I’m struggling with prenatal depression. It is taking a massive toll on my capacity to function, on my ability to wake up and choose life and my outlook on my relationship. I’m actively trying to not give in to thoughts of wanting to kill myself every second of the day. I would never wish anything like this on any of you. I’m not a bad person. I’m a person that is currently struggling and I’m asking for some thoughtful perspective so I can try piece together whether I can trust my own thoughts right now. Please - stop telling me I’m not cut out to be a parent. You are only seeing a tiny fraction of my life and it’s not enough for you to make such a hurtful judgment.

Where is a safe place to rehome buns (Berkshire, UK)

I am potentially having to relocate to NZ and due to strict bio security regulations, I cannot take my buns with me. One of them has high needs, daily medication and the occasional seizure. The other has had an awful life (prior to me rescuing him) and it breaks my heart to imagine either of them going somewhere where they’re not understood. Both are free roam and litter trained. It doesn’t feel right surrendering them to a rabbit rescue, nor does it feel right putting them on that rehoming page on Facebook. I’m absolutely torn over this and would appreciate any advice.

So title explains it mostly. I recently found out I’m pregnant. My boyfriend has had plans to buy an investment property with his brother through a government scheme. I asked him if that plan would be changing now that I’m pregnant and he said no. Basically said that we could live there and service the mortgage, which would mean me paying off their investment or I could buy my own property and he would “rent” from me. My issue with this is I’d be buying single and although I have a decent deposit, I’m unlikely to have the same mortgage allowance as I would if he was combining his savings with mine to get a place. So the place would likely be a small one bedroom (based on what I’ve estimated I can afford) and not overly suitable for two people with a baby.

It doesn’t feel right to move into their “investment” property (which they plan to move a lodger into as well - don’t want to live with a rando with my baby), I’d be putting money into something I have no financial ties to. So if the relationship did breakdown I’d be financially worse off.

Not sure what the best thing to do here is. The situation is making me question whether I should be having a baby with this guy TBH

Appreciate any advice
