Why am I so fucking bad at using wrenches

I’m fairly young (21f) and trying to teach myself self reliance an issue arose with my toilet so I am trying to change the fill valve which requires removing a nut from the bottom of the toilet but for whatever reason I can’t fucking get it I am just bad at using wrenches I don’t know if I’m stupid or what I don’t want to keep trying and end up stripping the bolt but I’ve tried researching exactly what I need to do I’m pulling it towards me instead of pushing away I got an adjustable wrench to ensure I had the right size I am directing the pulling force towards the fixed jaw

Still nothing

How am I bad at using wrenches this feels like it should be really straight forward

Am i just an idiot

Tale of me and the very bad no good weekend

This is basically just a vent but holy shit this weekend sucked I worked three different jobs one bartending, one serving one unrelated, for a total of 16 hours on Saturday and my serving shift was fucking hellish

Everybody was splitting entrees and ordering grab and go items while sitting at tables making the ticket prices low(plus there where randomly a lot of kids), I was the only server from 10-4 (we are a golf course so we are busiest at lunch) and there was a little girl who kept loudly barking like a dog to the point that multiple people moved tables to be away from her

Again this is literally just a vent I’m a little drunk but holy shit that sucked so much and I didn’t even make as much money as I feel i should have

I hate being tired I hate sleeping

I have been working too much so I have been staying awake so I can enjoy the little time alone away from work I have, so now I just have this headache I get whenever I don’t sleep and I feel like shit I don’t want to do anything at all

I’m miserable and I absolutely hate being tired and I cannot fix it

I can’t just go to sleep at any given moment, when you are hungry or thirsty you can fix it immediately sleep is a long process and I have shit to do

Anyway it sucks definitely my least favorite human bodily function/need

I don’t know how to stop being tired

Ugh I wish I didn’t need to sleep I hate feeling like this, and I can’t just eat or drink something to get rid of the feeling like hunger or thirst I can’t just sleep on a dime when I am tired plus I feel like I am running out of time and don’t want to sleep it away so I’m just stuck like this and it sucks

My watch is not connecting to my phone after the update no matter what I do

Lately software updates have been disconnecting my watch from my phone, that's fine, I try to reconnect it, odd, it didn't work

No biggie I try all the usual tricks, clearing the watch from my Bluetooth cache, restarting both my phone and watch, I even reset the watch

Still nothing

I have an older watch, a standard garmin instinct solar that I got years ago

I honestly have run out of things to try please help

I used to think I was a bad server

Turns out I was a bad hostess, expo, busser and server at the same time during a rush

Support staff makes a huge difference

Big shout out to all support staff

Referring to people as “guests” vs “customers”

Maybe it’s just me but anyone who refers to patrons as guests in daily conversation on their own time (not just in conversation with management or at the restaurant) seems a little whipped

Or maybe it’s just force of habit

People say ADHD individuals thrive as servers but…

I don’t believe them, maybe it is because I have inattentive ADHD but having a constant inner monologue that may or may not be related to the task at hand makes serving much harder, as does my tendency to abandon whatever I’m doing when I new task comes up

I have become a much better, less scattered server now that I’m on medication, before medication I was moving faster but constantly a little frazzled and ultimately less efficient

This might make me seem really stupid but here it goes

I keep getting calls from a number that claims to be a debt collection agency, however it seems very unlikely that I am in any debt and there is a history of scammers impersonating this debt collection agency

I looked at my credit report on intuit and my report is the same as ever and absolutely no debts are coming up on the report and my score is high

I don’t actually know if this is the right way to check if you owe any debts, how can I do that?

I am 99% sure I don’t owe anything, at one point I owed 40$ to a dentist but my mom told me she would paid for it (I was in school and underemployed at the time don’t judge me) but there is no way they would go after me over a 40$ charge that was likely paid, right?? That would be insane??

Sorry if this is dumb

Why do I act dumber and more awkward than usual around people who I have already acted dumb and awkward around

If I make a good first impression on someone during which I crack jokes and articulate myself well that momentum will keep going however the opposite is also true when I meet somebody and awkwardly stumble on my words and make mistakes I turn into an awkward bumbling idiot for any future interactions with that person

I hate myself and it is deeply frustrating

How do I incorporate lifting into my training without it completely ruining my runs

I know my body well enough from previous lifting to know that after a hard leg day I can be sore for an entire week, I want to incorporate strength training into my running training but obviously having to take a week off running to do so is an issue

A couple of months ago I tried to push through the soreness and run anyway but I could feel my hip flexors starting to hurt (I had a hip flexor injury in high school cross country) and I had to take a week off of running anyway

I know that after a couple of good lifting sessions the soreness will not be as much of an issue, I am currently trying to slowly build up to that point by building up from a pretty minimal leg regimen to something with more volume and weight, my first step was to literally just do three sets of Bulgarian split squats and nothing else, this seemed pretty minimal but two days out and I am still too sore to run.

I guess my question ultimately is; is there a specific lifting regimen that I should be following to “lift like a runner”

As opposed to my current and previous lifting regimens that are all pretty much just reduced volume versions of a workout designed for lifters without running in mind

I feel tired and dizzy constantly despite having what I think is a healthy diet

Pretty much the title I want to have a full panel of bloodwork and have my hormones tested to figure out why I feel so tired all the time, but the American healthcare system does not allow for that unless you are wealthy

Maybe it could be an autoimmune disorder my mom has celiac but I have already tried eliminating gluten and felt no different

I feel like I eat reasonably well (although I am not too strict about it I am happy with my weight for my height) and I am very active

My diet consists of a rotation between, omelettes, a salad with a protein, a wrap, roasted veggies, or seafood

Plus a snack (crackers, beef jerky, popcorn)

Plus ALOT of fruit

And I do probably eat more processed sugar than I should, I enjoy a sweet treat about every other day but I do not drink anything with sugar at all

I run five miles a day four days a week, strength training for two, then I usually have one day in which I am too busy with work and/or university to exercise but my job is very active anyway

I don’t necessarily know if I am looking for advice or if this is more of a vent but I fantasize about having someone analyze me and my lifestyle to revel that there is something I am missing that will suddenly cure my constant dizziness, fatigue, and tiredness i know it is unrealistic but I want a solution so badly

Edit: during my annual physical my iron levels where normal and my thyroid was in the normal range but slightly on the low end

I don’t know if this vent belongs in this subreddit but I don’t know where else to put it

I hate how long it takes my body to metabolize alcohol, at 5’4 105 lbs I get drunk way too easily and if I even get close to keeping up with the people around me I get messy fast

I’ve been playing with a blood alcohol calculator I found online, and while it may not be 100% accurate (individual differences ect) it really puts into perspective how slowly our bodies process alcohol

The problem is I’m a very anxious person, I don’t like driving the morning after heavily drinking until my BAC is at 0.0, so because of my size I literally can’t have four drinks then wake up the next morning and drive myself to work
