One question and one question only...
Why does sound Russian language sound so beautiful?
What questions are asked during a rental history verification in Seattle?
Im looking for places and my current landlord says they will need to disclose that my rent was paid by an organization during my stay. Does that sound right? Ive always paid own rent before this so Im not sure. I thought they only ask if you lived there and if the rent was paid. Not who paid your rent. This doesnt seem right.
How do I install cracked Kontakt libraries?
i got one of the OrangeTree Samples instruments from Audioz and I cant figure how to install it. I dragged the .nki file into Kontakt Player and only the GUI popped but no sound coming out of it. I'm not sure where to put the library files/samples. I'm a virgin.
How do you install 3rd party Kontakt libraries?

If you're making beats do you use a reference track that has vocals on it or do u find the instrumental version of a song and use that?
reddit.comFor those that are currently dating, where did you meet the person you're dating?
42/M and dating apps are a no-go for me. I've had plenty of "fun" on those sites but finding someone my type, in a sea of complete strangers, that's actually ready and available doesn't seem likely. I lean towards trying to meet women through mutual friends, or simply seeking out women I've known from the past; childhood friends & associates.
Now, that I've I'm back in school, I realize school presents great opportunities to meet a compatible mind although that's not exactly why I'm there. So now that you know my spiel, tell me, where did you seek/find your partner?
Anyone have experience selling on Splice?
If so, what is your experience with them? Did they pay well? Did you need to constantly supply samples? Anything you have to share would be be great.
For you people that wear a lot of jewelry,/accessories everyday...tell me something, will ya...
Do you take all of that stuff off before you shower or shower with it on? I saw a girl wearing about 12 rings, 10 bracelets a watch and a few necklaces and I thought to myself, " man, that must be a pain in the ass to take off before showering." Then I realized, I have no evidence that she takes it off to shower. So, tell me, do you guys take off all your accessories before a shower and then put them back on after the shower? And how do you wash your hands with a ton of rings on? I feel like your hands can't really get clean if there's a ton of rings trapping the hand dirt. Enlighten me, please.
Larry June - The Smooth Kind (Produced by DJ Idea): What kind of reverb/mixing techniques do you hear being used on this?
I'm really interested in this producer's use of reverb. It sounds really spacious and big but also still centered and controlled instead of sounding far away and/or out of control. I think I hear multiple kinds of reverb being used but I'm not sure which ones so I was hoping to get some opinions on what other people are hearing here as far as use of reverb and stereo width. I think I hear the stereo width being automated on some sounds to quickly move from wide to narrow.
What do you guys think? One type of reverb or multiple? Is it controlled by a gate or done with leveling? Automated stereo width? What's your take on this mix?
What happened to the feedback thread?
I was on here about a year ago and the feedback thread was super active. Plenty of people posting their music and all of the posts getting genuine feedback. Now it's super dead. Most posts don't have feedback. I thought posting feedback was one of the prerequisites for posting your own stuff. What happened to the the thread?
which subreddit has the best trap producers on it?
What yall think? This one or a different sub? I hear some pretty good trap posted on other subs.
Where can I find mixing project files’
I’d really like to get my hands on some Ableton Projects that are mixed professionally so I can see what’s being done with my own eyes as far as mixing and mastering goes. Is this a thing? Anyone know where I can find some professionally mixed/mastered project files? Preferably the whole project would be nice.
Why isn’t there a thread for trap sound design?
We get so many questions on how to get this sound or how to get that sound, what vst should I use to make this type of beat, hoW dO I MiX mY 808 liKe MeTrO bOoMin, etc. we should have a thread for trap sound design/mixing in this subreddit. Get on that mods.
Apps or plugins that show keys being played?
Are there any apps that light up the piano keys on screen as u play them or while you play back a midi clip?
I have midi clips that I'm trying to learn how to play on the piano and I'm more of a visual learner.
What is this tool?
What is this piano roll / midi editor tool called that I accidentally selected somehow and how do I unselect it to get my regular pointer back? It seems to highlight whatever note I click while deactivating others, and, if i click drag upwards on a note it splits the notes into smaller and smaller divisions. Reverses those splits if I click drag downward.
Its got 3 small horizontal lines with an arrow pointing up above them. The regular arrow pointer is gone.
I got scammed for 12 bucks trying to buy drumkits
Yeah i was communicating with kb @ samples.kb6 asking him how to donate so i could get access to the hidden drum kits. well, he stopped responding after I donate and I never got access to what I paid for. Don't be me.
Cut it out
Stop making posts saying you’re looking for a producer or a rapper to work with and describing your style. That doesn’t help anything and is a pain in the ass and annoying. Im not going to search you up on social media. Post links to your actual work so people can see if it would be a good fit. And post a link where we can listen without having to sign up for some shit for Christ sake.
/end rant
Any tips on how to thicken my bass up?
I'm working completely in the box and using arturia OB-Xa V and got it pretty close to what i want but its lacking the same bubbly thickness in the plucks. I'm going to try EQ boosting the end but I think it may have more to do with my sound design within the synth rather than mixing tools but im not sure. I'm new to sound design so I started from a preset and made a few tweaks.
Ill post a link to the sound im trying to acheive in the comments.. Im aware this producer is using authenthic hardware and that could be the difference. Any tips are appreciated.
why do i still make hip hop 15 years later
lately ive been fighting the urge to delete every beat on my hard drive and start over. I realized on a lot of my beats, i didnt do anything but lay drums over a splice loop and that makes me feel like shit. like a fake artist.
although i played drums growing, i dont know much music theory at all so i feel like ive been melodically challenged for the last decade surviving on sampling. and not even creative sampling ever since splice came out. im a drag and dropper. i have a good ear for finding good loops and pitching them up or down and maybe time stretching a little bit, but outside of that, I didnt do much. i feel like the music is not really MINE and its no surpise all of my beats sound different and cant really be branded together. the few beats where i did actually make a chord progression and/or simple melody are actually some of the best sounding ones. or my favorite at least.
going forward, its going to be high priority to take piano lesson. but in the meantime, i hate most of what ive made, despite it sounding pretty decent. im somehow better than a lot of producers but also way worse than a bunch of producers.
i feel like im shit at making beats. i can make fire drums though. maybe i should stop trying to make beats and just sell drum sample one shot kits.
there is no point to this post, just venting.
