Do any of your torties like to hide?

This is Tatti. She likes to sit and sleep under plants in the garden or on tablecloths she blends into when it gets darker.

She is genuinely harder to find than her void brother.

Anyone else find this? I'd love to see pics of your hidden torties!!

This variety pack is enjoying the summer heat and staying hydrated!

They are Boru (void), Tatti (tortie) and Monty (tabby), they seem to be thriving this heatwave while we melt, how are yours doing?

Bonus pics of Tatti (tortie) and Monty (tabby) at the end.

Please show me pics of your void loving (or hating) the summer!

When does a smol tortie no longer qualify as smol tortie? (knee for scale)

(first three pics are recent and last three are when we first got her two months ago)

She is four months old and has grown a lot. I'm curious what you think qualifies as smol. Is it until she is fully grown or just while she is a proper smol kitten?

Right now I'd say she is still pretty smol but at this rate she will soon be big for a smol tortie...

Boru's (the void) nose has changed a lot in the past couple months as he has grown. How about your kitties?

Obviously he is just bigger in general, but is it jus tme or is his nose one of the more noticeable changes?

For comparison the third pic is his sister, Tatti, who has also grown a lot but her nose still looks more like when she was smaller. Also a bonus Monty behind her.

I'd love to see how your cats noses looked as kittens vs now!

Say hello to Boru, we adopted him a couple months ago and he is a little terror! Please introduce us to your voids!

We've had him for two months and he has transformed from a timid kitten who would send all day sleeping and fighting his sister to a cheeky and friendly cat shaped kitten who spends all day sleeping and fighting with his sister (and now loves cuddles).

u/r0wer0wer0wey0urb0at — 1 month ago

This is Monty. He is five months old and has no sense of personal space. Show me yours!

We adopted him a couple months ago and he is the sweetest and clingiest cat I've met. If I go to another room he teleports under my feet.

Boru (void) and Tatti (tortie) are practically inseparable.

The tabby in some of them is Monty. He from a different litter is a month older than the other two. While all three are close, Tatti and Boru are super close.

This is Tatti (Tatianna) from 8 weeks to 4 months. She and her brothers have grown so much! Can I see yours too?

Her brothers are Boru (the void) and Monty (the piebald tabby).

Tatti is so sweet but also a complete troublemaker. From day one she has lived to nibble on my fingers and I don't see that changing!

Please show your tortie too and if you have a pick of them when they were kitten shaped, then one later when cat shaped I'd love to see it.

Say hello to Monty, Tatti and Boru! (and introduce us to your kitties please)

We adopted these three over a month ago now and they've already grown so much. I posted them then asking for advice on names and realised I never posted an update with their names.

Monty is the piebald tabby. He is super friendly, lives duccles and follows me around the house now. Whenever I go to another room he teleports beneath my feet. He is from a different litter than the other two and is about a month older.

Tatti is the tortie. She loves fighting her brothers and chewing people's fingers. She has started coming upstairs to my room and chilling on my lap while I'm sat at my desk. She will steal your food given half a chance.

Boru is the void. He is a bit skittish at times, he doesn't like sneezes, but he loves belly rubs while he's sleepy and is a maniac when it comes to hunting cat toys.

Thanks to everyone who recommended names!

Edit: I didn't know when I posted that you can't comment pictures in this sub :(

Why do so many theism/atheism debates end up arguing the definition of atheism?

For context I'm an atheist and would love to get some of your perspectives on this.

I see a lot of debates around atheism, particularly with Christians online (but that might just be the bubble I'm in) end up having the same semantic argument about if atheism is "the lack of belief in God's" (which is how I view it) or "the affirmative belief that no gods exist".

From my perspective this tends to just shift the argument from a debate about atheism/God to an argument about the framing of the debate in general.

I can only think of two reasons for this and neither are very charitable (hence me wanting your perspectives).

  1. The atheist doesn't want to have the debate, so they want to shift the framing so the atheist is defending a position they don't hold.

  2. They are ragebaiting atheists into engaging with them online.

As I said, those aren't the most charitable reasons, but I'm struggling to see the point of the argument otherwise.

Id love to hear your perspectives on this and any interesting reasons for this argument. Thanks!

What's up with all the arguments over the definition of atheism?

I'd love to get a Theists perspective on this too if any are in here.

I see a lot of atheism debates online devolved into arguments over the definition of atheism.

I generally see fellow atheists arguing for atheism from the perspective of "lacking a belief in God" (which is how I see atheism).

Some theists respond, not by engaging in the debate (or they start this argument presumably to get engagement from atheists) and instead argue that atheism must be an affirmative belief that no gods exist.

I can only see two reasons for this and they both make the theist look pretty disingenuous.

  1. They don't want to have an actual debate so they run to school antics to try to frame the argument in a way that puts them in a stronger position.

  2. They are just trying to provoke atheists into responding to increase engagement online.

Are there any legitimate or interesting reasons to actually have this argument that I'm missing?

I've just started seeing these suggestive AI chatbot ads and I can't get rid of them.

I don't want to be scrolling in public and randomly come across some AI slop soft ore porn, so I reported them as I see them and so far they were either already gone or they say they didn't violate any terms (although sexualised content violates the rules and is what I selected when reporting).

I never got anything like this before the past couple months and the only AI apps I have are chatgpt and claude... how do I get out of this hell hole?

Is this sucking behaviour okay from this kitten brother?

These two are brother and sister, both almost 12 weeks old and recently we've seen this behaviour show up where the brother suckles on the sisters fur almost like he's drinking from his mum. He is the only one purring and last time he did this she kept moving away from him so we distracted him. It also seems to be getting more frequent. He also only does this to his sister, and it's only him doing it. (we have a third kitten which is a month older boy from another litter).

They all got neutered last week. I'm not sure if this ahaviour started before or after.

Is this behaviour normal and should we be doing something to stop it/help him?
