What's your guess on the hidden car?

Closest match I could find is the Lamborghini Aventador SVJ and the LaFerrari FXX, but I lean towards Aventador...

So, Grant over.

Why I can never ride a Harley, even though I love the bikes.

I’ve always loved the look of the “classic” Harley Davidson. The modern designs have lost their soul and mojo a bit, if you ask me, but the classic ones are still very beautiful and timeless bikes.

The Harley Softail was actually the very first bike I fell in love with as a kid, and it’s the reason I wanted to start riding in the first place. I grew up watching TV shows like Renegade and movies like Harley Davidson and the Marlboro Man. Then I got my license, which was over a quarter of a century ago. I like to phrase it that way because it sounds longer than 25 years and gives me a bit more credibility 😄

I wanted a Harley so badly as my first bike, but I was young and couldn’t afford one at the time. I also wouldn’t have been allowed to ride one without a restricted engine, and that just didn’t make sense in my mind. So I got an old 500 cc Honda instead, which actually turned out to be the perfect beginner bike for me. Still, I knew that as soon as I felt more confident and had the money, I was going to buy a Harley.

I would get very excited every time I saw a Harley rider on the street and wave at them, but they never waved back. Other riders always returned the wave or waved first. I don’t care about the wave anymore, but back then as a beginner it felt kind of special to me. A few times I stopped next to a Harley rider at a light. I’d greet them or say something like, “Nice bike.” They would usually give me a short glance and turn away, or just ignore me completely. One guy looked down at my little Honda and pulled away at full throttle. Another stared me down like a psycho. I literally thought he wanted to fight me. I know someone will comment, I ride a Harley and I hug everyone. Buddy, I appreciate you, but you are the exception. You are not the norm

So over time, after many bad experiences, I got very bitter and hateful. I don't like being that way. I was raised differently and just couldn’t understand the behavior. I didn’t want to be part of this toxic community, and I didn’t want to be associated with men like that. A man who looks down on you for riding the “wrong” bike is no man at all, if you ask me.

When I finally had the money to afford a bike, I didn’t buy a Harley. I bought a Triumph instead, because, I just wouldn’t have been able to enjoy the bike the same way. However, every time I see and hear a “classic” Harley on the street, I still think, “Damn, nice bike.”

This is why you start on a beginner bike.

...and why you should take lessons. And don't be a squid, and drink water.

Whiskey throttle or target fixation?

...and guys, if you let a beginner ride your bike, at least give them a helmet.

How stupid do you have to be?

The public road is not your personal race track. I just hope that the innocent people involved in this crash, are fine.

Bent a spoke slightly while changing tires. Do I need to replace it?

So I changed my tires yesterday for the first time and I accidentally bent a spoke a bit. It's not much but when I look strait down the spoke, I can see that it has like a 1mm kink in the middle. Do I need to replace this spoke right away or can I do it with the next tire change?
