Help with which polisher

I'm a hobbyist polisher. I know my way around auto detailing but I also don't claim to be a seasoned professional. I'm looking to get a new 15mm DA polisher to take care of my cars. I'm replacing my TorqX polisher, which is junk and I bought many years ago without knowing any better and have suffered through it until now. I think I've narrowed my search down to the Maxshine M15 Pro, the Liquid Elements T4200, or the Griot's G15. Does anyone have experience with one or more of these and have insight?

Lack of ADA accessibility in my neighborhood

My heart goes out to anyone who NEEDS better accessibility around here because I get annoyed everytime I even take my dogs for a walk. Now with a stroller it’s even more frustrating. I mean, come on. These pics are just from a short few blocks

How to repair?

Solid LVL door with white oak veneer. I sprayed appx. 5x coats of Epifanes Clear Varnish + 2x coats of their Matte Finish. Light sanding between coats.

This is appx. 18 months of west facing exposure. No direct moisture exposure as there’s and overhang but we do live near the ocean.

Love the look and feel of the door so want to give it what it takes.

Do I need to sand down the whole door and start over? Or does this look like a light repair? Happy for suggestions. Thanks!

Big Dogs

Any dog owners with multiple dogs 50+ lbs out there using a Macan? I’ve got a 50lb and an 80lb dog. Load floor is a nice size but feels like the trunk space would be too tight with the rear seats up, yeah? Been leaning towards a Cayenne would be the better bet for me but wanted to see. I don’t have a lot of personal experience with the Macans. Thanks!

Need Help Critiquing This POE Camera Approach -

I would like to run a new TBD NVR (likely a Unifi NVR or Instant, or the Reolink RLN8-410) off my existing network switch.

But then I'd like to only run ONE SINGLE Cat cable through my exterior air barrier to an exterior TBD POE Switch (like this Mikrotik netPower Lite 8P, which has a 120W of total POE budget) to power appx. 5-6 POE 4k cameras, like the Unifi G6 Bullet or Reolink Duo2 or RLC-843A.

I have an airtight house where penetrations to the air barrier are critical to protect. We maintain a strict one hole per wire approach when running wire. I DID plan ahead with some existing pass throughs to run new wire through already prepped conduit BUT I didn't account for the number of cameras I might want to install - I previously had wi-fi cameras.

I'm trying to also avoid running power to that exterior POE switch.

Will this work? Am I missing something?

I understand this may be a little unconventional but wanted to check before going through the hassle.

Thanks, all!

Fixable or replace the whole thing?

I’d like to raise this wall up to about 6’ or so for more privacy. That’s another 3-4x more rows of blocks.

BUT it’s got a significant lean to it and feels silly to spend time and money on something that’s only going to accelerate this walls failure.

Can this be corrected or is it better to start over?

Corner lot with about 130(ish) linear feet of wall. So starting over I think would easily 2-3x the cost of just raising.

EDIT: Yes, I know the X blocks will need replaced. And yes that fence topper has long outlived its expiration date

EDIT 2: yes, okay I have a cheap level, ha - not the point! And yes, well aware of permitting and corner restrictions, etc. to keep things simple I was only asking about the existing wall’s integrity

Growth in Ear. Emergency or Can it Wait for a Regular Vet?

Hey, looks similar to pictures I’ve seen on here. Perhaps a cyst or inflamed wart, etc.

Question is - can this wait until Monday to contact his regular Vet or is this an emergency? He doesn’t seem bother much by it but unnoticed when the other dog was licking his ear.

Rough Saturday

The big a$$ SUV that pulled out into my car barely had a scratch.

Suits my basic needs. Already planning to add an NVR system which won’t fit in here. Should’ve gone even bigger when I built the place. Open to insights for improvement.

Hey all - I'm interested to add an NVR security camera system for my house for general safety monitoring and peace of mind. I understand this sub is preferential to Ubiquiti but I'm curious to get feedback from people who have expereince with both platforms for my particular use case. I'm sure many others have been in a similar positition.

I currently have the eufy Homebase 2, their wireless doorbell camera, and 3-4x eufyCam 2C Pro wireless cameras.

I find their cameras to be medicore, their image quality and recording windows to be lacking, and their response times to be slower than desired. However, they have served my very basic needs of having some form of entry level remote monitoring and video recording for the last 4-5 years.

I currently have 10Gb fiber internet that I've run to a small media enclosure with a network switch and main access point. I have the Eero Pro 6E mesh system with a wired backhaul and have already pre-wired locations around the house for TVs and computers. I also planned ahead and have the ability to run additional network cabling for POE cameras, although I'll revisit specifics for that in a future thread.

Now, I think it's time to upgrade my camera, which brings me to a fork in the road. Since I have eufy's ecosystem already, it seems like it would be an easy upgrade. However, I think it would make sense to update to the newer Homebase 3 in hopes of faster response times, etc... Also, adding their NVR POE system will essentially override all of my existing cameras, save for the video doorbell.

The one thing I DO like are my eufy smart locks with fingerprint access. That - and no subscription - is essentially what pushed me towards eufy in the first place.

From here, would it make sense to just add the eufy NVR system? I only really need 3-5x cameras for my modest residential space. Honestly, anything would be better than the existing wifi cameras I have now.

Although I'm not looking for top dollar equipment, I understand that eufy is probably not as solid as the Unifi line from Ubiquiti. Since I think it would make sense to upgrate my Homebase 2 (meaning - spend money) and possibly even my video doorbell, which is 5yrs old at this point, maybe it makes more sense to switch now and sink those upgrade expenses into a new ecosystem.

That would leave just my doorlocks, but that's not the end of the world.

It looks like I can get a basic eufy NVR POE system with 2TB storage (way more than my current 16Gb) and 4x 4k cams for $800 or $1500 for 4x of their PTZ cameras.

Unifi has their $700 kit with NVR, 1TB storage and 4x G5 (older model) turret cams but would also need to buy an additional switch, and a cloud gateway (I think?). I also don't see any newer G6 camera kits but I can piece one together.

Thoughts? Is it worth it to make the switch and migrate to Ubiquiti, or does it not make sense to pay the premium and do the legwork for my very basic needs?

I’d like to paint this rusted natural gas line stub out. Just from the valve up.

Which paint should I use? I’d prefer to spray if possible.

Is there any prep besides a wire brush and some OOOO steel wool?

Thanks!
